Many thanks to Hoyt Street for loaning out the UAV. It's now gone on to other things, and I will miss it. By the way, if you happened to notice the Evolve Hadean Bamboo appear near the end, then you'll likely figure that a video on that is forthcoming as well. Spoiler: It's not as good as the UAV.

This is hands down easily the best electric skateboard review I have ever seen. It's funny how I at first completely dismissed this board due to the cost, but after noticing on every eskate forum I hang in - how quickly the adoption & affinity for the Hoyt puck became ubiquitous. I's made me reevaluate the products they sell, & hearing you make mention of the tire & wheel design, of which I was unaware, really pushed me over the edge in realizing these folks are bringing products & innovation to the community in a higher order of magnitude altogether. I truly almost wish it wasn't the case, a si STILL have yet to be able to buy one of my own boards yet (it's driving me so insane being so enthusiastic about something & not being able to do anything about it..) I guess this means I'll buy a decent used board that will last long enough for me to afford a HOYT BOARD. gIVEN THE QUALITY OF YOUR VIDEO CONTENT & HOW DEFTly you explained the nuances of why this board & their offerings in general bring value at least equal to the price, AND the various factors that should equate to a longer period free from maintenance, & what seems to me an almost certain guarantee of no fuss longevity, = in addition to the future proof aspect to the various innovative aspects of it all... I sincerely hope they see fit to extend one of the tester boards at least. I have no doubt your content relative to Hoyt HAS & WILL result in additional sales & revenue. Their ROI even if they gave you a new one absolutely would still remain WELL into their favor, Ya def got a new sub, looking forward to digging through your older videos & seeing whet's to come about things with 4 wheeled e skates. (the one wheel is an abomination lol) What region are you riding in? It's beautiful! Cheers.

I. Love. This. Video. Full spot. You’ve beautifully articulated the meaning and soul behind this board. Having first hand rode this board into was skeptical when the price and specs were revealed. They mean nothing, not in a Naïve way, but in the sense of a higher end boutique board the luxury and confidence that this board provides is second to know. Great job showcasing that to your audience. Loved every minute.

⚡ *Nice to see smoke without fire* 👀⚡ Hoyt excel at beautiful boards, glad they went with RKP trucks for this 🤩 I remember seein a clip about the magnetism of motors, it's annoyin so it's amazin that Hoyt have "contained" the field! Thank you for goin in-depth regarding efficiency. Hoyt's 5" AT is my ideal size AT wheel as I don't normally like AT wheels so the smaller/lower the better. Quality and ride feel is everythin 👌🏼 Right to repair 🔥🔥 Another great video dude 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Had a little laugh when I realised the footage as you spoke about boards where the power dies off after the initial punch had switched to showing a hadean. Not saying it’s a bad board at all, just nice to see others aware that that’s how it works as not many people around my area believe that.

You see a very strong example of EMF reduction in hard drive magnets, they virtually uniformly have no magnetic field on one side and a VERY strong magnetic draw on the other side.

I mounted the Abec11 Zoobomb 111mm Urethane Wheels on my Hoyt UAV, which makes the board sit lower to the ground. Then I switched back to the pneumatics. Each has their own look and feel. I actually prefer the latter on smooth roads, which is where I like to ride most. So, I think I will be switching back to the ABC's soon. I went on a dirt road w/ the pneumatics,, and was bit worn out after the ride, as my body had to absorb most of the vibrations. I wonder if the magnetic properties of the stater, windings, and canned housing are engineered the same across Hoyt's line? I had issues with my Boo'ger just cutting out while pushing it over metal railroad tracks. The resolution was to simply carry the Boo'ger over the tracks. thx for sharing the fascinating motor info. which still remains a bit of a mystery to me.

Epic video, loved every minute of it. Regarding the motors would you consider performing a test and seeing how the power / efficiency compares to a 63100 / 65100? At same power and max performance for each would be very interesting imo.

@@TheBoardGarage wow thanks for replying, shame it's a loaner. Here's hoping in the future thinking 6561's and gear drive would be sweet in a lighter build with relatively limit battery capacity.

How would you compare the ride quality (esp. carving) and turning radius to the Lacroix Nazare? I'm about 6ft. 2 185#. Thanks for all the great videos~
@TheBoardGarage
@TheBoardGarage Год назад
They ride very differently. The Nazaré flexes, and so it also responds differently to lean and turn. The ride on the Nazaré is cushier, a bit more boaty. The UAV offers a bit more control at the cost of cushiness. The trucks are also very different. The UAV uses RKP trucks, and so they turn WAY tighter. The turn on a Nazaré is fairly wide, and usually takes some commitment.

I built a 12s5p pack from Molicel P42A cells. Does pretty well. The traditional grip was something I wanted to try. It's very fun, looks good. I may need to change it at some point though. The strips shift a bit during longer rides.

How would this board compare to the evolve hadean.
@TheBoardGarage
@TheBoardGarage Год назад
The Hadean doesn't really compare to the UAV, unfortunately. The quality of the Hadean is fairly low, more so on par with the current batch of other imports like the Zeus and Hurricane. The performance is also on the lower end. The segment near the end, where I talk about production boards having a parlor trick effect, I'm mostly referring to the Hadean. I have a Hadean video forthcoming. It's not particularly positive.

Im totally desperate im reaching out how do you repair a puncture on a 7" Hoyt hub/wheel ..the ride on these tyres is life changing and totally worth the trouble in fitted them to my Naz..but now im stuck i know i can repair them myself ..once i can get to the tube and the attitude of my local tyre merchants isn't favourable..but why cant i repair it myself three screws pull the hub a part repair or replace inners tube ...its like the sword in the Stone everyone want to have ago ...well ive reluctantly had to replace a whole set of wheels/tyres/bearings ...surely they who pride themselves in high end precision parts that work and that includes what you all forget about its part of the maintenance /up keep of my vehicle Please could you look into ,what i feel is a huge flaw in the hoy armour
