I think the only reason Oil companies aren't ripping us off for $4 a gallon or more is because of electric cars. If the price goes up enough it'll drive sales of EV up. Battery tech just keeps getting better but I think it'll be another 10 to 20 years before EV takes over. Being able to drive anywhere and fill up in 2 minutes and drive on is a big advantage.

The Honda insight hybrid battery has a 15 year 150000 mile warranty. None of these vehicles have a battery warranty greater than 10 year 100000 miles. Doesn't make sense.

I could have sworn this video stated cars under $40K I guess I mist something.

In just a few years, kids today will have so many questions. - how could you drive a car with 2 pedals? -what on earth is MPG? -what do you mean smoke used to come out of cars?

EV being pushed on the public. They are battery powered which at some point will need battery replacement how much would that cost. the overwhelming of the grid when more people plug in to charge. We still have to use fossil fuel to supplement our energy needs. Most of these manufacturers are cheap made vehicles that will fall apart in short time , especially Korean made vehicles.

EU wants everyone to buy electric. Hands out fines for car companies who doesn't produce electric cars and tax petrol cars to death. At the same time the electric cars here costs sometimes double of what it costs in the US, ffs.. Do they want us to drive EV or not? Take model Y for example. The most basic model with no options starts at 83.900 USD here..You can buy 2 of those and still have money left.

US cant afford to pay for EVs like Europe, we are still paying our own health insurance. Apples and Oranges. Also the track record of the Auto industry with bad transmissions, and AFM results in my policy of driving 10 year old vehicles. I spend 2-3 grand per car every 3-4 years or so. Thats my limit. Save your money, you are going to need it in 2022

Kia EV6 is beginning to be seen on the roads, which is hailed with its efficiency, style, speeed here in Korea. Inoniq 5 too. I think Kia, Hyundai, Genesis will prevail this EV era.

US government should allow Chinese car makers enter American market since Chinese EUV car is cheaper and better quality which is good for developing green energy .

Chevy Bolt SUV???? Hahahahhaa man I remember many years ago I used to have a 2003 little Honda Civic and that car just the two front seats were bigger than the whole Chevy Bolt. Come on guys how in the world that lego car can be an SUV?

That's a lie. They're not even close to under 40k. More like under 50k. This is misleading. Most plug-in are 40k+and close to 50k. No where near under 40k. Look at the toyota rav4 prime. It said starting 38K but you can even get it for that price. The dealers mark up another 5k-10k more. Who call that affordable under 40k? Why tried to advertise something that's not even real with affordable pricing at 40k. Those tax incentive of 3k- 7k don't exist I your hands but spread over the years when filing tax. It only help with your tax deductible not money in your pocket. If a person don't make 60k+ a year you don't even see that tax saving. I say keep buying ice until these bev reached at 25 percent of the market. Right now it's not even 5% of the market.

Hooray for more EVs! The EV market just got better and good for the consumers as they have more choices and prices are also priced more reasonable. I've been a Tesla EV fan for a long time even though many ICE manufacturers did their best to thumb down disruptive technology EVs but now they're scared for their life as clean and green EVs are gaining popularity all over the world and soon ICE vehicles will be like dinosaurs. Many big car companies are now gearing up to produce and compete in the EV market as some seem to be waving the white flag and are now rushing to develop their own EVs. How well their product will succeed in popularity/sales will be a test in time as Tesla has a huge leap ahead of them but we'll see. But keep it coming so prices will go down as quality improves, that's when I buy one. Lol 😂

Badly engineered electric vehicles; and without supporting charging network. Not enough range; nor supported by good software & full self driving. This is like tying a ICE to a horse buggy!!! No thanks!

Why doesn't this video mention heat pumps? An EV shouldn't be offered in America without one considering it can affect range by 30% for those of us who experience winter. The proportions of the Bolt are all wrong. It is too narrow for how tall it is. If you call it a utility, why not make it wider so it actually has some utility (space)? I checked out a Niro EV that has been at my local Kia dealer since October 2020. It stickers for $41,500 and they were willing to go down to $35,400 when I inquired, which is still too much for a car that will essentially be two years old soon when 2022 models come out in a few weeks. I liked it, but 201 HP isn't enough oomph and every vehicle I own is faster than its 6.5 second 0-60 and has 170-200% the range. The average ICE can go 412 miles on a tank and EVs need to get at least that much

They look great, but KIA has terrible reliability with ICE cars, lets see what they can do with EV. I will not be the first in line to buy, no matter how great they look. I waited on my Tesla Model 3 until 2020. Gave them time to iron out all the mistakes

Tesla fan boys, too bad you bet on the wrong horse. 1st out of the gate does not equate to winning the race, if one run out gas first. 2021 and 2022 are going to be good years or BEV's. Even Nissan is looking good. American car designers especially interior designs are just off the mark.

Tesla has too much control of their vehicle. One software update, they can reduce your power and range.

Well, I am not convinced the ID4 is "optimized for efficiency" with a rating of 93 MPGe......

KIA, NISSAN and VOLKSWAGEN SEEM TO BE THE BEST OPTIONs. But I would still prefer a Hybrid such as a TOYOTA RAV4 for less money. Besides, a Hybrid gives you the best of both worlds and you never have to worry about running out of juice in the middle of nowhere. To sum up, it is still TOO EARLY TO GO FULL ELECTRIC!

Where are the SUVs? My Taurus sedan has AWD and is more capable of hauling cargo or taking back-wood trails then any of these. Should I call it an SUV?

But still not practical to buy these Evs. For old people retired people they can. Not for youngsters. We gotta reach places. Not going to wait 40 to 50 min wait to charge on some gas station and get only 250 miles. 🤷‍♂️

this is so funny no matter what video on Ev's I watch you see one car one driver and always available electric charger that actually works 🤣🤣🤣🤣 this is not going to be the case in real life . while all videos showing all these Ev's .. they also have a problem as of right now a lot of these stupid electrify America OR Canada for that matter aren't working properly. you have to drive around to find one that actually works. and guess what ?! we aren't there yet there's only few of them on the road ( Ev's that is ) and their charging stations are broken !!!
