Its upto you. 5w30 Is fair enough, still if you want to pay for some extra performance in upper and lower range temperature and get some miles on Service schedule then you can go for it

Best will be 0w20 , you can go till 5w30 . Although 0w20 is fully synthetic or super synthetic oil.Will be costlier. Hence 5w30 van be more pocket friendly

Its not required simple.. It will just add to cost without adding significant difference in performance..

Can't say about performance..but if your car runs a lot day then 5w- 40 will be better and try to use fully synthetic or altleast semi synthetic original of genuine company for the long life of engine ..it will make less sludge in your engine and protect your engine parts..and if your car run a lot keeping checking the engine oil level ..

Sirjee beautiful detailing of oils. I have aTata NANO CX of 2011. The manual advices changing of oil after a year irrespective of usage. Do all the types of oil as mentioned by you need to be changed or otherwise also will do?

Being a 2 cylinder car you should consider changing oil not more then 5000 kms and once a year is must either your cars runs 5 k or not.. also for longer engine and component life you should always go for a synthetic grade.. which will help you keep engine friction and temperature under suggested limits.. Use a good quality coolant also

Sir in 2021 creta diesel 1.5 bsVI issue is after long distance use say 350km non stop engine in summer sound becomes highly vocal like old gen diesel engines and mileage drops to 17kmpl is quite concerned for me. In short distances or in winter no such issue at all. Auth service dealer use Indianoil Servo 0W20 ACEA C5 oil costing Rs 1700 for 5L pack written for high performance new generation diesel bsVI engines. Mannual recomends engine oil 0w20 ACEA C5, C3 or C2 . What should i use other brand like Amsoil or Liqui moly fully synthetic 0w30 ACEA C3 or 0w20 ACEA C5 or any other . Plz recomend a reply.

You should always stick in between the recommended range.. A thicker oil may be difficult to circulate during the winter season in cold starting..

Use 40 grade.. it will save engine life at High temperature where oil looses it properties..

I can assure an increase in temperature.. as of now I haven't calculated on actuals but I have seen a sudden raise in temperature gauge Mostly with Ac on while vehicle is climbing a bridge

Sir, Tata Motors pehle Tiago, Nexon, Tigor ke liye 5w30 grade recommend karte the. BS6 update ke baad se Diesel and Petrol dono ke liye 0w20 recommend kar rahe hai in user manual. Aapko nahin lagta Indian Weather Condition ko dekhte hue 0w20 thin hai? Kya Tata BS6 mein 5w30 dalen toh koi nuksaan toh nahin hoga?

Dear its actually a forced business, Till time when you're vehicle is under warranty to keep it going and avoid getting void, you Need to stick to grade. Afterwards you can experiment. I will reserch and revert back in this information

@@CarValueServices Ok sure do tell. But technically both BS4 and BS6 engines are same with few mods to meet BS6 norms so 5W30 shouldn't cause any issues right?

Great , All these above Engines are Turbo charged engines. These Engines are fed with BS6 fuel which burns rapidly, Due to which Engine delivers unusually high Power at very initial stages where Engine is not warm enough. Thinner oil helps in Good circulation of oil at critically thinner spaces such as turbo bearing and Piston pins. Hence its helps in preventing engine overheating and seizure. Where in case of a Higher grade oil it will not be that thin at startups. Can degrade Engine life slowely but gradually.

I would strongly recommend to use higher grade or at least 5w40 as this car is hybrid and low friction will be the best possible way to increase the motor life.

Use semi or suggested in Owner's manual. Do not go on lower than recommended grade till vehicle is under free service or warranty.

Sir g thanks.mera pass commercial gaadi hai ashok leyland dost diesel usme kabi kabi extra load over load hoo tha hai kabi kabi 3-4 din k baad chalu karna padtha hai or monthly running 1200 - 1500 km hoo tha hai best engine oil konsa raha gaa thoda costly bhi chale gaa. engine best rakhna hai.me ruf drive kar tha hu is liya. Aapki gaadi ka recommended oil grade 5W30 hai, Kyonki overload ho jata hai aapko synthetic grade daal sakte hai.. Lekin overload hone par engine normal se adhik raftaar se ghista hai, isliye load ka aapko sabse jyada dhyaan rakhna hai. Aam cars me bhi yehi engine hota hai ,farak keval gearbox ka hota hai, Jo ki same engine se Kum bhp aur jyada torque deta hai. Engine oil me recommended 5w30 kisi bhi recognized grade ka use kar sakte hai Jo ki fully synthetic me bhi ata hai. Sath hi gear box and differential me schedule se kuch pahle lube change Kara Lena chahiye.

Do not take chances in your new vehicle warranty.. Put what authorised centre suggests .. yes you can experience with changing brands once vehicle warranty is over
