What I love about your videos is that your recipes are delicious (found it out when I baked scones, oh, those were lovely), simple, don't need ingredients that are hard to find outside of the United States and I can actually make them. I'm subscribed to some other baking channels and they usually post recipes of things that only themselves can make because they require ingredients that are too hard to find (especially if you live here) and too many skills.

I am so lucky to have followers from all corners of the world. I do know that some items are really impossible to find in some places, fresh dairy cream is a big problem in hot countries for instance. I try ot remember this when I am doing the recipes, and basics in particular. Thank you for your kind words, i appreciate your support :)

You had me at chocolate and orange. My favorite chocolate combo. Btw I used your ice cream base to make orange brownie and chocolate swirls. I added vanilla and orange extract for an orange cream flavor then added melted chocolate slowly making it flakes, then added brownie crumbled up. Its my new favorite.

Yep, or a little orange zest, wash the orange well before zesting :)

Hi Gemma, since you love 🍊 and 🍫 so much, go through BBC good foods 101 tea time treats. it has a killer "whole orange and chocolate cake", that uses a cooked orange with peel and some spices along with chocolate. It looks simple and may not have the jazz of a bold cake but being a Baker, I am sure, you will enjoy it nonetheless.

A few months ago I ate lime/mascarpone cake and it was Amazing ( I even ate my boyfriend's piece). It was so light and creamy, and delicious that you can't stop eating it. I wanted to try and make it at home, but could not find any recipes.

You can not add enough orange juice to give this flavor without affecting the texture of the recipe. You could add a little orange zest to the frosting, this will give a strong orange flavor, and add a little color too :) Was the orange well before zesting!

It would be awesome if you would come up with a few recipes of desserts for those who are on a diet. I am following Dukan diet, which only allows me to consume low fat dairy, including eggs, and meats (proteins) and little to no starches or sugars, but sweeteners are okay. And I am too big of a sweet tooth, so I really struggle without sweets and especially chocolate. Thanks in advance!

Haha! You can do this! Add some grated orange zest to a good quality chocolate, do wash the orange well before grating :)

The coffee used in this recipe is just a good quality instant coffee. Do yuo mean a cold brewed coffee! this is done over time in the fridge with ground fresh coffee, it is an infusion really :)
