I have a yellow scales on mine I've mentioned before I'm a stockman guy , it's my most carried pattern . I'm glad you're starting to see the light on the stockman lolol . Soon you'll be wearing mucking boots and overalls ! Well done George !
I agree George those blue scales are really nice. I have almost always carried a medium traditional stockman at work because I found the blades so useful and it fit my pocket. I'm going to have to get one of these, can't help it, its a well made slip joint stockman. at a good price. Thank you for the review, take care.
The steel on this is comparable to 440c, AUS 8, and surprisingly 1095 from my research. I’m like you, I don’t like any branding on the blades. That blue is very nice. My favorite color. It almost has a sowbelly shape to it. For $40 I might have to give this one a go. Thanks for the review.
Nice knife George good review and the price is good too . Made in Taiwan ! Lol see you next year. You take it easy . Excellent advice for novices mate.
This was my first cold steel traditional, and my first sowbelly stockman. Love that thing. Liked it so much I bought the yellow one and the brown jigged bone one. Nice review, keep up the good work
The tough pakssuck. More bleedy than a box n bag. I tried to shorten an old funnel 1/4 inch. Ouch! Crispy hard. Kersnap and I found out I took too much willow bark. Knives are a necessary risk. Lol the old carrot top cut method may be banned soon. Just saying!?! Lol
Nice knife. They cost 45 euros over here, which I think is a bit expensive. Looks very nice though, except for the etching but I can live with that. Might have gotten one if I didn't just buy a new 8OT...
I got mine in from SMKW. Nice knife, but mine says China on the blade and the main pin is about a fingernail thickness high. Everything else is very nice. It is in my pocket.
Huh...Interesting. I have heard alot of companies move around with where they are getting them made. I did notbknow Cold Steel was using Chinese. That Taiwan and Pakistan. Glad you are happy with it. A nice traditional folder. Pity they don't do many. Thanks forceatching always appreciated. Be safe this new year
😎 I’ve been interested in how cold steel did on there traditional styles. They are a newer model from cold steel, I figured they just wanted something on the market, &! I was hoping they didn’t just sell junk! I bought the coldsteel Luck 2 a modern traditional a few years ago. If I had to do it again I would buy the ‘lucky 1’, because the one bladed model allows you to use finger grooves , the lucky 2 has one blade that covers the groves so the grip is not as comfortable. The price of lucky 1or 2 is hi dollar, but premium steel, carbon fiber scales & made in Italy! It has a pocket clip that doesn’t look great but allows it to be carried in coin pocket. The lucky 2 💩 fits my name better & is still a great little modern traditional. ✌️🤟🤙
