You both look beautiful but a special compliment to Lucinda with your hair (with volume) and that great décolletage. Can you please do a segment on how bare skin can be an anti-aging tip? No necklace, not fluffy collar. I'd love to get your views on this.
I have almost black eyes. I know black genetically doesn’t exist. I always was envious of light eyes when young. Loved the black hair though. I just started to feel comfortable wearing blue eyeshadow.
oooh, I'm so envious. Blue eyeshadow looks terrible on me & I love deep, dark eyes & always wanted dark hair. You can wear any color eye makeup & pull off those deep smokey looks :)
I have veeery dark brown eyes too -burgundy eyeliner and mascara makes my eyes pop a lot-they look brigther and even more intense (#6 color in the wheel they showed)
Thank you for this! I have dark brown eyes and I remember this eyeshadow by MAC named “Contrast” it was a deep navy (like 9 from the color wheel in the video) with purple sparkles. That color made me realize how good purple sparkles/navy looks on my eyes :) I do wear numbers 1,4,5,7,8,9 and 12 from your suggestions for brown eyes… best colors!
Green Hazel, the eye in your diagram is exactly my eye!!! It has taken me 66 years to have the right name for the color of my eyes! Thank you so much🌸V
Really grateful for this! I have hazel green eyes and I'm an autumn, and I keep picking up all the "warm" eye shadow palettes and every time I try to use them, they come out way too orange on my skin! The palette you put together for hazel looks so much more manageable for me.
This video was helpful. I have blue-hazel/blue-gold eyes. I also have cool brown hair, with natural red tones in it. The more I learn, the more certain I am that I am a cool leaning neutral within the summer season, with a sister season of autumn 😊
This is great, and I love that you say move outside your colour palette to enhance your eyes if you need to. I've been typed as a true winter but I have hazel amber eyes, maybe something in between the green hazel and the amber hazel examples you've shown, and the recommendation for true winters of grey eyeshadows is just so sad with my eyes hahah
My eyes are probably closest to the Green Hazel eyes, but it really depends on what I'm wearing & the lighting. They can lean into blue-ish, green or gray, but the corona is always dark gold. My favorite eyeliner is Revlon color stay in charcoal, which makes the dark gray ring on the outside pop and the rest of the iris lighter. Revlon's color stay eyeliner in Jade (leans olive) makes the corona brighter and my eyes seem more gold. Don't remember what the Violet or Brown did, but I gave them away. I'm not a heavy liner or eyeshadow wearer, and maybe it's just me that can see the color changes but it sure is fun to play and see what happens with a thin, little line worked into the underside of my top lash line. (Not inside the rim.)
My eyes are hazel green, and I'm probably soft summer. Your colours are really great for me, because they are very muted. I bought in the past purple eyeshadows for green eyes, but they are unfortunately too bright for me. Actually I discovered soft muted colours myself, but this video is very helpful, thanks 😊
Yep, mine are the same and the colours recommended for green/hazel tend to be too saturated for my skin tone. I got away with it when I was younger but since I tuned 40 (50 now) I gradually gave up on eyeshadow 😞 I’m going to try again.
This was so helpful. I always struggled since I´m neutral with just a slide of warmth. Now I fell like I arrived at a place where I can actually do sth with this information
My eyes are in between the green hazel and the amber, depending on the lighting. And even it's not included in any of those palettes, I steel love the combination of black with white eyeliners (kinda of that 60s look), but I'll surch for and dark purple eyeliner for variations 😊
I was just viewing your first part and noted I have blue eyes with a gold ring around the pupils...so many different variations of eye colors it's fascinating. I can wear a lot of different color eyeshadows except for green eyeshadows. Thanks for the color presentation.
My eyes are between the amber and brown but almost looking brownish green. What colors are your colors in that case? A blend between the hazel and brown colors?
Today I learned I have blue hazel eyes! I have a starburst of amber in the middle and a gray rim. The minute they put up the color wheel I immediately knew these were my colors because I have probably 20 eye palettes with these colors. The cool tones are the only colors that look good on me so you ladies nailed it!
I dont feel your other video was confusing at all. Thank you for another super informative video 😊 I have green eyes that change to grey depending on what I wear. I gravitate towards plums, and bronze/copper works great too at making them pop.
Nice video! I love you added number to the color wheel- I could follow along much more easily! I've got green hazel eyes, and I've used plum and brown eyeliners in the past. Recently, I picked up an eyeliner in a dark olive (10 on your wheel) to echo the ring around my eyes- so much fun!
I’m a new subscriber! Your channel ended up in my feed, and I just really enjoy your videos. It’s such interesting information, and you both present it so well. ☺️
Thank you for this channel. I absolutely love the makeup recommendations. I’m a summer (soft). I have hazel eyes. My darker ash brown hair and medium cool/neutral skin tone are pretty standard for this season, I’m learning. I had my colors done professionally and was told I was a “brown summer”. I’m not really sure what that means. I am really appreciating this channel! Thank you ladies!
My eyes are a combo of the first 2 examples you showed. I have a bluish grey rim & an amber starburst around the pupil, where the colors combine looks olive-y green. If I want to play up the green I wear soft purple or mauve. Warm browns accentuate the amber. Auburgine eyeliner is very flattering with soft purples/mauves.
Loved this!! Thank you for going so in depth on hazel eyes!! The struggle has been real with them lol! I have the green hazel type and am a fair olive skin tone, so I look best wearing more deep cool tones but my eyeshadows I prefer more neutral slightly warm leaning. Yellow is the worst color for me lol but seasonal color analysis says I’m a dark Autumn and with this eye color, should be able to wear yellows. I need contrast not to look more sallow! It can be confusing with this eye color for sure!
I just found your RU-vid channel and I’m very grateful for your explanations! If you’d make those color wheels for every eye color, with three openings (highlight, main color and eyeliner), I’d buy them all!! Also, if you have eyeshadow pallets recommendations we can buy, that would be awesome! It’s hard to match online/in store swatched with a color wheel I saved on my phone. I have yellow green hazel eyes, very unusual and I struggled all my life to find my color palette. You did not show my eye color. 😢
Great content! Never seen it so in depth. Especially for the hazels🌸 Would you mind going into different shades of brown eyes? It would be very appreciated. I got russet brown eyes with a reddish tint. pink eyeshadow really brings them out. My outer ring is a soft stormy mid tone gray so the eye is on the softer side making softer colours look the best. Sometimes my eyes look mahogany leaning cool, other times it looks soft beige olive green. So there are many different shades of brown out there.. ex. cool and warm brown eyes, black, black blue/purple and mahogany brown eyes, green brown eyes, orange/yellow brown, and many more :) Would love if you could go a bit deeper into the realm of brown eyes on pale skin, medium and dark to bring out the best of everyone’s uniqueness. Again thank you for bringing great content 🌸
I have green hazel - almost identical to your diagram but with more prominent flecks (like tobacco and gold leaf 😆). I got a colour analysis done and I have never felt the result was correct - the result was summer. And while I like the neutrals the blues, pinks and greens don’t suit me at all. I don’t like any of the colours on me and find them at complete odds with my eye colour. Any foundation recommendations from that palette are way too cool on me too, and I look pasty. A Chanel lady matched my skin tone to neutral - and this video has completely verified that now. So back to the drawing board for me, cool, neutral with green hazel - no idea where I sit again 😆
Your channel is fabulous. You are so thoughtful and knowledgeable and are very good at teaching. Can you recommend eyeshadow quads or singles that coordinate for eye colors that you showed in this videos. I’m very happy to support your channel.
I will do a little research, Sara and I were with a cosmetic company for a combined 40 years, but left two months ago to start Color Class. So we are a little out of touch- will see what I can find.
My hazel eyes have just flecks of gold, no corona in the middle as dramatic as you showed here. They really look olive green from a distance...any suggestions as to the color palette that would work for my eyes? Thanks for doing this video! I'm really enjoying your channel. 😊
I frequently watch your videos along with other color analysis content, and I have a suggestion. It would be very helpful if you could review plain T-shirts from sites like Jiffy. This would give clearer color references for those of us who wear casual clothing rather than formal or designer items. It would also aid in distinguishing which colors belong to which sub-season. Personally, I believe I am a Deep Autumn.
My eyes are blue Central heterochromia I don't really consider them blue hazel because I think hazel eyes have more of a blend of color to them. So I focus on making the blue pop.
I'm so glad you did a section on blue-green eyes! They really are chameleons, people can never decide which way mine lean. Makes ID apps a bit frustrating, cuz I have to just pick 😅. Mine aren't quite like these, as my liminal rings are deep, deep teal, and the center does the grey/green thing (I can even make it flash gold with certain lighting and masquerade as blue hazel lol). But this was very helpful in understanding all the ways I can pluck out colors! I was already reaching for purple to make them switch to green, but I didn't know about the other shades! And from watching the other examples, maybe I can wear teal eyeshadow that matches the outside to make the whole iris pop?? I'll have to try it. Thank you for making this! ❤
I'm feeling left out, my eyes are gray with a golden center in the morning with no makeup and good lighting. I know I can make them go green or amber depending on makeup and what I'm wearing but never blue. So what would be my best pallet choices?
Easy… what happens when you cry? Blood rushes to your eye area when you make tears. That is why your eyes turn red. Red is the compliment to green- so voila-vivid green eyes. The problem with trying to replicate that effect with red eyeshadow is you look like you’ve been crying. When I cry my eyes look bright turquoise, haven’t figured that out quite yet.
I have the amber hazel type of eye with a grayish green border around the edge. I'm curious has anyone ever found a grayish green eyeliner or shadow? I'd love to know what the brand and color name are if you have!
I think one of these "eyes" may be mine. Ha! I am not sure which one, though - mine look like either #1 or #2. Lucinda or Sara, do you happen to know if any of these were mine? I have gray/green/blue eyes we talked about.
We also have gray green eyes- so very cool. I doubt they are your eyes because we used medical illustrations from Creative Commons. But its gratifying that so many folks are thinking we matched their eyes.
hum not sure any of these are my eye color. I have blue-grey eyes with the yellow golden starbust. Most examples were green/brown with the starbust :')
My eyes are brown/green depending on what I wear or the make-up I use. I feel I am an autumn with light skin What do you suggest I wear and what are my best eye colors I have a natural skin color. HELP!
