I feel like the Spring Warden units is a joke, their archer riders is low health and do less damage then a normal archer. A joke. Their Flying Eagle is great, but the hero that goes with it is a joke. Flying company is terrible in this game. I don't know why they design a 5th unit which is flying and make the commanders so weak.
I don't know about open field, but at defending MAYBE its the orc. Not just for Bakhar at the start, but thanks to the cavalry of orc, you don't need a lot of cavalry, just enough so that some stay alive (even 1 should be enough) to keep their effect activate (so even doing gathering troups and sometime cavalry might be good). Imagine, in late game, when millions of troups attack a orc city, with 5% more badly injured, and... when attacking city you lose 50% of your badly injured troups. Now i don't know if that work, but if yes then we might all choose orc no matter what after some time. Of course its only an hypothese, I don't know if that really happen like that.
One thing you forgot to mention about the elkrider is Their base attack is significantly lower than other two factions BUT as a ranged unit they can launch full dmg counter attack

Cavs only counter marksman. I imagine next facion will have some sort of melee flying unit, but so far eagles remain without counter agaisn't itself. It's deadly.
Nice video. I felt though that the most important part of the SW Cav was not mentioned. Counterattack. SW ranged do 100% counterattack to mages and archers + 30% keen. Means a TON of physical damage. Other Cav units do only 50% counter. Half. I do most of my kills from this alone. Mosltly cuz is little understood by the ranged classes. A heavy physical with heave counterattack build will wreck you before you build rage to fire your skills :) just from counters

What I dont understand is when it says "When legion is all cavalry units". Does this inlcude the deputy? Because Emrys with Theia along with the elkriders could be a crazy good hit and run cavalry legion.
the text "when legion is all cavalry units" only applies to rallies, since rallies can have any troop type. while normal marches/legions can only have 1 troop type so having a 1-troop type rally is better since you get the skill and no, the commanders or deputies have nothing to do with this text.
Can the flying eagle be stopped by ground infantry units? Or will they fly over them? If they can fly over them then the eagles will have a straight shot at your backline heroes!
For me the best infantry or the most versatile is the springwarden's treants since they have bonnusses for construction and destrucction. The best archer as Chisgule said is the spearmen, best cav for me is a kind of tie, and the best magic is league of order
Not to be stupidest guy ever, but, ‘+ bonus, all archers’. What constitutes a legion? When I send my troops out, it NEVER lets me mix troops; they are all the same.
It is mostly for rallies I believe. I think that if you mix ballistas with elven archers they both lose their respective bonuses, so maybe it is a way to "promote" players from the same faction join.
What if you use regular cav and special cav at the same time at springwarden? You get all those buffs because both oh them cavalry and it says only if legion entirely cavalry... (pyshical keen + unyield rush)
I made a video talking about factions too, in my opinion: for focusing in MAGES u have to use HUMANS; if u are focusing on MARKSMAN AND CAVALRY>ORCS; Elfs is good for free too play and if you are CAV main dont use elfs :D
There's a blue artifact that gives Onslaught for 10 seconds (+60% atk for 10 seconds) pair that with the Keen you get with elf rider and Emerys with Theia. Charge in pop artifact. Wait for Theia shield hold a few seconds them retreat. Rinse and repeat ever 2 mins
so for a big war mages and archers are good for dps. then overall league of order should be realy good couse you have 2 mage units. wilderburg is more for cav players i think couse the wyvern riders are compared to other archers not that strong. second thing is you are extremely slow with wyvern riders. springwardens is tricky for cavs couse counterattack > all in this game. just take an t4 player vs a t5 player or t3 vs t4. you die and the stronger one dont even attack you. you have lower normal dmg but you got a bigger dmg buff here 346 +343 and in wilderburg cavs is 439 +202. so you can play your cavs as range killer here couse the counterattack hits extremely hard. its realy hard to say whats the best
