Halestorm are a great live band. They are real road dogs, their touring schedule is insane. So during the lockdown Floor was doing an Instagram live Q&A. When asked who her favorite female singer was she said Lzzy. Lzzy saw it and responded something along the lines of " OMG me too", many have been waiting on that colab for a couple of years now. Also Lzzy is a fan of the Warning (you recently saw their drummer Pau covering "Creep"). The Warning opened for Halestorm for two small tours this last year. During one of the shows Lzzy gave Dany (the lead singer/guitar player) a custom version of her signature Gibson Explorer Bird guitar. Lzzy also likes doing colabs with other artists. Amy Lee, Lindsey Sterling, Disturbed, Lita Ford, Alter Bridge, Daughtry, & Eric Church to name a few.

Her version of Close My Eyes Forever with Device (collaboration with Dave Draiman of Disturbed) is, believe it or not, better than the original.

Lzzy is awesome! If you like this, then you need to listen to *The Warning.* You did the cover of 'Creep' by The Warning's drummer, now you need the full band. Lzzy Hale interrupted their set to kneel onstage and present the guitarist of The Warning with a Gibson Explorer. Try 'Disciple', 'Evolve', and 'Animosity' to start.

To go along with this, i wholeheartedly recommend a live performance from Lovebies. They've become my absolute favorite live performers. Maybe Holy War, live from Zepp. Asami's vocals pretty much only know two settings: power and more power, but she has some range and subtleties. Nothing like Lzzy or Floor. She's different from them, but amazes me just the same. Asami is a big fan. Lovebites as a whole has possibly the highest degree of musicianship I have seen gathered in one place. It's very hard to pick one song that highlights it all. Edge of the World might be good, actually. Asami has some great vocals there and most versions I have seen of it have subtitles. Not one of their harder, faster songs though. You get something a bit different with all of them.

Melody is middle child of five siblings known as LILIAC, pronounced Lilly ack. They have many covers and about to release their third album of originals. Hale is a phenomenal rock singer. This generations Joan Jett. Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil), Simone Simmons (Epica) also get honorable mentions from me. That said? My #1 rock singer is Brittney Slayes from Unleash the Archers and it isn’t close. Her range, vibrato, sustain and pitch is utterly impeccable. If you haven’t reacted to her I’d highly advise it. Welcome to the amazing world of Lzzy Hale! You are hitting the nail on the head on all of Lzzy's exceptional vocal nuances. Elizabeth Zarhoff from The Charismatic Voice channel did an awesome, and long interview with Lzzy, where you can really get a grasp of just what a vocal nerd Lzzy is. Everything she does is deliberate, and with perfect technique. Even the screaming is done in a way that she does not damage her voice. She also has the best diction of any rock singer I have ever heard, there is never a Halestorm lyric that I can't decipher. Some of the best songs for you to check out: I Am The Fire, Love Bites (So Do I) live in the Sound Room, Familiar Taste Of Poison (live on Jimmy Fallon is a must), and if you really want to nerd out over brilliant vocals, Break In feat. Amy Lee.

Lizzy gifted Danny (The Warning) a guitar like hers. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ySuer4Q2vac.html. Paying it forward. Some one did it for her earlier in her carrier. Lizzy said she would do the same when an artist re-energized and motivated her. She said when she saw how TW engaged the crowd and played. She told her band " We need to go practice ". Fun fact : The singer from The Pretty Reckless is Taylor Momsen (Cindy Lou Who (from the 2000 movie) "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".

Lzzy Hale, Dany Villarreal, Amy Lee.... my three favorite rock lead vocalists currently are these three, regardless of gender or age. 3 subtly different generations of female rockstars, but all current and active. You REALLY need react to Dany Villarreal (for example, Disciple MV, or Choke Live Session), and the Duet between Amy Lee and Lzzy Hale... to experience All Three. I loved that you rected to Pau the drummer from The Warning, but it was not an official video, just a cell phone streaming test of her learning skills. And yes she's a wonderful singer, and is the most prolific songwriter in The Warning. But DANY, Pau's big sister (Well, everybody is bigger than Pau, she's like 4'11.9"), is the group's actual lead singer, and cites LZZY HALE as her idol.

The best female vocalist today? No, that's Floor Jansen. But Lzzy is up there.

I admit I did not pay attention to Halestorm until The Warning toured with them. This is great.

Her song, Break In, with Amy Lee is pretty amazing, too. Speaking of vocal colors and articulation...

Halestorm put on an awesome live show, seen them a couple times. This song is from their 2012 2nd album, The Strange Case of..., the lead single from that record, Love Bites (So Do I) , won a Grammy. To hear a newer song, try Back From the Dead, the lead single and title track from the 2021 5th album.

I beg to differ, Melody the lead singer of liliac is the best rock vocalists today. Pick a song any song she will blow your mind. It's a family band all brothers and sisters.

Lzzy is one of the rocky woman inside my first book. It was about woman in rock world since 60's to nowadays.

She's even better live. I saw them when they were coming home from their first big tour, I live in the same town she grew up in. They played at this hole in the wall bar that could fit maybe a few hundred. First thing she did was belt out one of those insane screams, and then went right into I Get Off, their big song at the time. Her dad was there too, I talked to him for a bit after the show. He was an old school rock/metal fan and you could tell he was incredibly proud of his kids (the drummer is Lzzy's brother).
