Machine gun fire. That's the best way to describe the level you are watching in these videos. It's happening so fast you don't even realize that there are MORE shots being fired than you think.
If you’ve never hit a speedbag before, this may look easy. I assure you, it’s extremely difficult and the hand-eye coordination mixed with reflex and rhythm conditioning displayed by all of these people is amazing. It’s not that hard to find a rhythm and slowly build up a manageable tempo. But to do what these guys are all doing, you need years of training and practice.
@జో I think it's safe to say that the speed bag is pretty easy. I mastered it in about a month. It's definitely not the hardest part of boxing. you probably don't even box because your making claims that are untrue that no boxer would make.
@జో I beg to differ. Idk about you but I found it pretty easy when I started boxing. Believe it or not I do indeed use "systematic movement" to hit the speed bag with my whole body as taught by my boxing coach and not just my fists and arms like any old non boxer would. The thing that triggered me most though is you saying that the speed bag is the hardest part of boxing. That is simply untrue and absurd of you to say so. I could name lots of things harder than the speed bag. Also what's Ur full name so I can pull up some of Ur fights and watch them i want to see how good u are for a "national boxer".
Tyson footage was interesting. Everything was an opponent. He treated the bag like it might punch back. That sounds odd but that really shows Tyson's aggressive nature.
cus dematos's peek-a-boo style was so ingrained in tyson by that point that i think it was completely natural for him. he even dodges the opposite side of the bag's swing (bag goes left, he goes right etc) and it's absolutely insane to see in comparison to everyone else
Unpopular pick but I like Sonny Liston's the most. The guy actually stood close to the bag that if he put didnt put his hands up or move his head on time, he would get tagged, as what happens in a fight.
Yeah but a speed bag should never hit anyone in the face unless they lean their upper body/head in. The bag bounces off the top plate multiple times before each punch, one of those bounces away from you and the other towards you
He wasn't always like that, I used to think he was just cocky that way, then after awhile i understood he was doing it for the haters and the ones who were doubting his skills at the time.
NO, the speed bag is very easy to use once you get the rhythm down. And getting the rhythm down only takes a couple of weeks for most people. In 2 months you could be working the bag like this if you set your mind to it.
@@CaneFu its not getting the rhythm thats difficult so much as the stamina involved in keeping it going, and at those speeds, not something anyone can simply pull off without legit practice
@@deannamarie3746 all of this takes months if not years of practice. Nothing about it is easy ESPECIALLY for beginners. Anyone who is just beginning and they don't say they feel like a complete fool, their bodies dont feel like they have been in a car wreck and they don't question if they were ever about anything before, is FULL of BS. I stand on that. You can't fake boxing and it comes out if you fake before you even throw a punch.
I purchased both the medium ru-vid.comUgkxfh2XUOHWYHKQYOvSq2gZ6PyCmVkTFGWz and small speed bags from Meister. I'm very glad I got both as the workout is quite different from the two. The small is fantastic for getting your speed built up once familiar with your striking. The medium bag provides a considerable amount more resistance building more strength in your punches. I highly recommend both sizes. Some people have expressed concern over the latex bladder leaking down more frequently than the traditional rubber. I have not found this to be an issue at all.
Y'all understand he was like five years old and hitting bags like this. People think they can skip levels and you just start out great. NOONE is born great. To be honest 90% of the population doesn't have the mental fortitude it takes to last in this game. Most can't handle the humiliation in the beginning of training. You find out quick, u really don't know sh!t you just thought you did. Most people can't handle that realization. The relentless few get back up and get a little better each time than the last time they hit it without skipping steps. THERE IS NOTHING EASY about this sport except how easy your lack of training will get exposed in the ring but by then it's too late. It's just your untrained ass, his very trained ass and a ring you can't get out of and you can't get help from anyone in that ring. No where to go no where to hide and words aren't going to help you in that arena. Easy work
thanks for doing all the work to put this together. very inspirational. speed bag will make your delts burn and it's great upper body conditioning. there are other ways to use it too. you can also work your head movement and very good for practicing hooks.
I love the speed bag it’s therapeutic for me, Kahn looked a little slow on it, only guy I saw that went at a slower pace than me, but maybe he’s just staying relaxed, having a good bracket is a night and day difference. I’ve gotten pretty fast and can switch from one hand to two (left and right) but that’s about it, love seeing this shit 💯
What kind of speed bag do you use and what type of swivel? I have the ever last bag with a hook swivel been looking at buying a nicer one was wondering if it made a difference sounds like it does
Sin duda se sienten esos golpes de Muhammad Ali y Mike Tyson es como si sus puños fueran rocas y hacen sentir ese golpe tan suave se sienta muy fuerte, increíble
Facts bro. Floyd looks like what god would look like hitting that bag. Maximum level achieved. Before you casuals cap, just try doing the thing you are criticizing. After you get humbled then find a video of someone doing it better. Once finished please refrain from speaking on things you know nothing about. Education is a great way for a better understanding
The guy around 00:50 woah love listening and watching speed baggers so many different styles its addictive am using a boxer ball as back up till I can put up my bag or find a place to SB
Wow, the speed bag can tell a story on you....we can definitely see the natural talent arise in the speed bag training!! Won't name names, but it's obvious to me!!!
Man I am soooo lacking in this skill! For the boxers in here good at it, what did you notice carried over into your matches? It’s clearly a great workout!
If you can do it while looking then more than likely you can do it without looking.. it's all about rythym.. it took me a whole month to get it going lol
The GOAT is most satisfying to watch for me. AJ looked stiff and his hands looked low too....................I'm yet to even be registered on the scale of competence in speedbagging btw
Wow, all are very impressive. As a boxer, I thought I’d dig Pacquiao’s & Mayweather’s cause of the speed. But in the end I thought Tyson’s & Klitschko’s were the best. Tyson reminded me of Marciano the way he judges it & treats it like a reflex bag. Klitschko was fast af but I was more impressed with the single hand continuation. Anyone who’s spent time on the speed bag knows it’s actually super hard to keep a fast/consistent pace with a single arm. 10’s we’re always hard for me.
Manny be like,"Did I leave the oven on? I hope not because I don't plan on cooking tonight. I promised the wife we'd go some place nice. Am I still hitting this speed bag? Lemme check.....yeah yeah I am. Back to more important matters, I wonder where I should take her? Maybe some place vegan."
Little bags, looks like 5x8s and fast swivels, and these guys are really moving them, albeit mostly without the really entertaining tricks you can find on RU-vid!
