It does indeed work wonders! I also found out that if you use UI cheats to speed up the time, Sims will just become unresponsive so this works for that as well! Hope you have a nice day/night!

Hi there! Have you tried unplugging & plugging your keyboard? Also, have you set your keyboard language to English? If those two solutions do not work for you, you can also backup (copy & paste) your whole Electronic Arts folder somewhere else on your computer (on Desktop, on your other local drive etc.) and then repair your game through Origin. I have a weird problem bc whenever I click on a random sim, the social menu doesn't show up. I tried to repair the game so many times and tried the method with reseting debug object but I forgot that mt problem is the social menu not showing up so it didn't work. In my sims game, my sims keep getting stuck at work/school. I’ve tried redoing my whole mods folder and adding everything back on slowly. I don’t underhand why it keeps happening but it’s very frustrating.
Have you also tried resetting your Sims & making them happy as shown in the vid? You should also remove any outdated/broken script mods from your game as well
Oh I actually found a fix for myself, I saw it work for someone else online and I tried it. IT was the laundry day pack, I removed the dlc and my sims could move about and do things on their own. Idk what was wrong with the package nd my game but removing it helped
So for me, my main ts4 family will not use their toilet no matter where it is! I use mods for the family and script mods asw. Toddlers do use the toddler toilet tho. To test something, I made a new modded family, and they could use the toilet without any problems! Im not sure what's going on, but the toilet is 100 percent accessible and I've tried everything except for hardcore resetting the game ..

Hey when the infants update came i started playing with it but after a while everything i ant to do with the baby like give it a bath or change its diaper or feed it or make it sleep my sims pick up the infant and just put it right back down my infant is just living in UI cheats will this fix the roblem

Hello there! I know how annoying that can be, so you can basically reset your Sim & then fulfill his needs. To do that: 1. Go in live mode 2. Press ctrl shift and c at the same time 3. Enter testingcheatstrue 4. Ctrl shift c at the same time once again 5. Shift click your Sim 6. Select reset object (debug) 7. Shift click your Sim 8. Go to cheat need > make sim happy 9. For me when I click a new sim I haven’t met the “friendly, romance, mean, funny” etc don’t show up just vampire bc my sim is a vampire but the weird thing is it’s just one sim the rest can interact with new sims just fine but one of them can’t interact with anyone they aren’t friends with I removed all mods and it still didn’t work
It's always best to remove all of your script mods & install the latest versions whenever an update comes out. If deleting & updating your mods does not work for you, you can try this: 1. Make sure you have mods&cc enabled in your game > close your game 2. Rename your Mods folder into Mods old (but keep your Mods old folder bcs we'll need it later on) 3. Open your game & close it straightaway 4. A new Mods folder should pop up 5. Copy all of your cc (but no script mods!!) from your Mods old to the new Mods folder 6. Download the latest versions for your script mods 7. Put your script mods into your new Mods folder Let me know how it goes!
Iv'e done all of this. Have no mods and the sim i made on my ps4, with most of the packs, still has a problem with cooking. She will start then stop. I literally have to wall her off, so she doesn't try to walk off and put the food down elsewhere. This started after I finished the chef aspiration. She also keeps doing the animation for the squeamish trait, and I don't have that pack installed.
Hi there!! You can try to use the 'save as' option instead of 'save', create a new slot for your family and access that new one instead of the old one to see if it makes things better. Alternatively, you can try to move your Sims out into a different house and see if the same thing occurs in your game :)

Yes, deleting any outdated/broken mods should help! What I do after update is: - search ts4script in the mods folder - write down the name of each mod - delete all those ts4script files that appeared in the search query - google them - if they have updates, then you can install the latest versions for them What I also do when I see that my game is not responding is resetting the Mods folder

Yes, it did happen to me, too! Do you happen to use any custom content clothes on those specific Sims? If so, there might be some cc that are categorized as 'nude'. I play on my desktop and but I recently started playing on my laptop and it's completely modded, clothing mods, body mods, and game mods. I started playing and my sims will take the interaction to talk to each other but when they go to do it they glitch and the interaction disappears.
It might be due to the update! Did we make sure to remove & update all script mods (things like mccc, ui cheats, more columns aka things that add gameplay features)? Also, we can try to move out the sims to another house (into a base game one, if possible) to see if anything improves! Do let me know how it goes ^^
Hey um how do you fix a sim not gaining relationship on other sims like i keep interacting with others but she doesn't gain relationship with them. 😭 I've tried doing the friendship cheat and it also doesn't work.

Do you have any toddler/child mods or functional cc? Those could be broken and need to be deleted from the mods folder Also, here’s what I do after update and it works for me! - opening the Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder - searching inside the search bar (of your mods folder) ts4script - writing down the name of each mod (on your notes app) - deleting all those ts4script mods that appeared in the search results - renaming the mods folder into mods old (this is going to reset our mods folder, so we’re going to have the mods old as a backup folder for our cc & mods - so keep it there - and another new mods folder that we’re going to use to install the UPDATED mods) - open the game > go to game options > other > allow script mods & enable mods cc (tick those 2 boxes) - apply changes > exit the game straightaway - launch the game once again > check if those mods options stayed enabled > if so, close it straightaway - a new mods folder should appear in your EA folder - google your mods (from that list) & only install the UPDATED ones in the NEW mods folder - as for the cc (the files that end with package), you can go into the mods old & copy all those files + paste them into your new mods folder Hope this helps 🙏

The way I go about this is that every time, after an update, I go into the Mods folder > type in ts4script > write on the notes app the names of each mod (but if it s multiple named the same way, just type it once, for instance, there might be a lot of files called mc for mc command center, just write it once) > delete all those ts4script files from the search Then you can google them & only install them if they are updated Hope I made sense 🙏

Hey there! So have you tried the trick shown in this video (resetting your sim & fulfulling his needs?). Do you happen to also use custom careers mods or anything like that? You can try to take out all of your script mods (the ones that end in ts4script, so not your cc) from your Mods folder, remove the localthumbcache.package file from your TS4 folder, restart your game, reset your Sim & see if she/he advances in that specific career! Hi, I'm still having issues, when I try to have my sim making something on the stove or have a quick mean from the fridge, her arms do a weird glitch, she raises her arms then the interaction with the stove or fridge disappears from the queue. I have tried all those steps in your video, and tried resetting the objects of the stove and fridge. And deleted the local.thumb.package, and removed my mods folder from my game. Please help 🥺
@@Tiffany-kc6xu no I haven't yet, it seems that my cr*cked DLCs might be the issue I have a legal base game and can play it no problem but once I add the DLCs that's when everything becomes a problem.

I need help. I can't click on my sim to perform actions like when they practice signing etc. and i can only interact with the infant and other objects. I can't speak to townies and the icons for the welcome wagon are all glitched out (they turned into white buttons) and they are all just stuck in my house idle in fast motion (but the game is not sped up; its in regular time) i click on my sims and other sims, there's no interaction menu or options showing up :(
Are your Sims okay now? I've also come across the fact that if you use UI cheats to speed up the time, Sims will just become unresponsive so this reset works for that as well! It' such a handy option
First things first, did we update the game? If so, can we try to see if there are any old/broken sims 4 mods in the Mods folder (most mods do get broken after update, things like mccc, ui cheats, more columns etc but can be very easily fixed by deleting the current version that we have & installing the latest one for them!) Once we're all sure that there is no broken mod in the game, we can try to reset our sims as shown in this vid! Hope it helps 🙏
My sim can do any other interactions instead of talking with another sim, no matter how many times I click on the other sim, the option for my sim to communicate with them is not there, nothing shows up, how do I fix this?

Here’s what always works for me 🫶🏻 - make sure we have mods & cc turned on in game options - completely close the game - go into our mods folder - right click on it > rename - rename it into mods old (and keep it there, don’t remove it bcs we’re gonna transfer some files from there) - open the game - close it right away (don’t load game or anything) - a new mods folder should show up for us - from our mods old, we’re ONLY going to copy cc (aka things that end with package that are clothes, accessories, makeup, build items) but NOT mods (files that end with ts4script or that add gameplay features, like restaurant, school, ui mods etc) - as for the mods, if we still wanna have them into the new mods folder, we can Google those mods & see if there are updates - if those mods are up to date, then we can download + install them into our new mods folder
My sims literally won’t move :/ every single sim stops in their tracks and won’t do anything and just stand there but the time still moves as if it’s normal, and they won’t do tasks I give them. Hey!! Do we have broken mods in the mods folder? We can try this ✨ - launching the mods folder - searching in the search bar ‘ts4script’ - writing down each name of the script mods - deleting all those files that end with ts4script (those ones in the search query) - searching each mod’s name (from the list we’ve written) & deleting the files that have the same name (if some show up, bcs some mods also have files that have the same name but end with .package instead of .ts4script) - going into the sims 4 folder - deleting the game’s cache (called localthumbcache file) - this is a temporary file, so it will show up after opening the game, but it’s good to delete this file in case those broken files pile up

Did you remove the broken mods after update? Those ones are usually the ones that end with ts4script, so deleting those & installing the updates for them (if there are any, bcs not all mods get updates that often) should do the trick!

For ps4, just hold down the four triggers at the same time, type in the command bar 'testingcheats true' and enter, hit x and o simultaneously to open up your sim cheats. Pick the option 'reset object (debug)' and your sim should get back to normal!

Hi, um I’m having trouble in my game save. I’m trying to have my sim interact with other sims and herself but the interactions will not pop up at all. Everything else works, it’s just that the interactions that won’t pop up. Is there any wya I can fix this without deleting EA or my Game save?

Every time I turn on my scripted mods on Sims four it won’t let me interact with my Sims but it let me do anything else but just let me click on them. Idk what to do

@@Darielle Yes I do use cc and script mods. I did repair the game but that didn't work. I did get rid of broken mods. I don't use the slice of life mod but I do use mccc and UI cheats but those aren't broken

Hiyaaa, we can make it launch ✨ Here’s what we can try - go into our mods folder - write ts4script in the search bar - write down the names of our mods (on a piece of paper) so that we know what mods we’ve used - delete all files that end with ts4script - write the names of those mods ( that we have on that piece of paper) in the search bar (we’re doing this bcs some mods come with files that end with package & not ts4script / as well as ts4script) - delete those files that came with the same mods - go into our TS4 folder - delete the localthumbcache file (this will clear our game’s cache - it’s a temporary file & it’s okay if that shows up after opening the game, the game generates this file by itself) Another method is to reset our Mods folder, but let me know how these steps work for you!

Can you please also try to go to options (in Live Mode, while playing with your current household) > and select 'save as' > create a new slot for your family > exit to main menu > access the new slot > reset your Sims once again? If that does not work, it might be a bug/an issue related to some outdated mods that you might have in your Mods folder
Heyyy! Can we try this? Go to Documents folder Rename the Electronic Arts folder into Electronic Arts OLD (But do not get rid of it!! That folder has all of your saves and files that we are gonna copy) Open the game (make sure you still have the mods on in game options) Close game A new EA folder should be in your Documents Access your EA OLD folder > The Sims 4 Go to your Saves folder > select all files > cut Go into your new EA folder > The Sims 4 > Saves (it should be empty) Paste your saves files into that saves folder Go into the EA OLD > The Sims 4 > Tray folder > select all files > cut Go into the new EA folder > The Sims 4 > Tray folder (empty) > paste your files Do the same thing (cut+paste) for your Screenshots folder In regards to our custom content and mods, we are gonna copy CC only (but no functional cc) & download & install the updated mods that we regularly use :)

Things like mc command center, slice of life, ui cheats, more columns and any other functional mods (aka traits, functional objects, recipes and the list could go on)? Have no mods in this game the sims just do the wrong thing and pee themselves and don't take baths and dont work until they die I think I will just delete this game what a waste of money

Hey Courtney!! There are a couple of things that truly made a difference for me after update!! First one is actually deleting all broken script mods (most of them will get broken if you did update the game) Keep in mind we're talking about script mods, not cc, so basically anything that adds features into our game ^^ so let's try to delete them & install the updates (if there are any!) Second thing is moving that specific family onto another lot/into another house that has no cc in it ^^ so no cc furniture, just so we can see how it all goes! Third thing that also helped is resetting my Sims! So here are the steps 🤗 1. Make sure you have mods&cc enabled in your game > close your game 2. Rename your Mods folder into Mods old (but keep your Mods old folder bcs we'll need it later on) 3. Open your game & close it straightaway 4. A new Mods folder should pop up 5. Copy all of your cc (but no script mods!!) from your Mods old to the new Mods folder 6. Download the latest versions for your script mods 7. Put your script mods into your new Mods folder Hope it helps you!! ❤️🤞
