Have you tried deep lying playmaker on either CDM in 4222? Even on stay back they will run up a bit past mid field supplying passing options for the wide players and strikers it helps since 4222 midfield feels empty. I guess a good solution for that is playing with a more narrow width like you said around 35. Also on the 1 balanced fullback I like overlap in a lot of formations they will hug the sidelines better and give better space for some give and gos.

Why do all my players even my defenders make forward runs after they pass, I have them on stay back and direct passing. Any idea why this happens???

Using 4-3-3 with DCM dropping to help when we are defending its good and I'm winning most games.

Am i alone or wingers in 4-3-3 act even worse than in previous years? Just striker who makes runs, those wingers just move a bit inwards but never forward. Such a weird positioning

I’m using 5-1-2-2 but in game my cdm is always at rcm and the rcm is at cdm.. does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

433 (5) works so well with both the deep lying playmaker instruction and the false 9 instruction. Modric sitting as a regista and Dybala dropping off to orchestrate play is so satisfying for me, realistic too.

I really liked the 41212 but it just doesn’t work anymore because of all the gay defense people with 5 defenders or 442

I play as Newcastle online and the only teams i face are 5 star teams, who ALL, without any exception, play sit back, slow, dull asf football, turn in circles constantly, wait for me to lose my patience and give up before they attack, ive been 3-0 up and it will turn into a stupidly scripted mess and i'll tackle a guy 4 times and the ball will bounce back to the opposition over and over and over again until they score...tbh im sick to fucking death with just how shit this game is. This has to be the worst fifa ever created

This fifa 23 is copy/paste fifa 21, same problems with sluggish players as in fifa 21, same passing as fifa 21. Selling same game every other year, glad they won't have license for it anymore, remember the videos ridiculing fifa 21 and how they invaded the internet? Incoming this year, guaranteed.
