Are you looking for the best free fitness apps to help you reach your health and fitness goals? Look no further! In this video, we'll be sharing the top 3 FREE fitness apps for 2023.

To make my annual best free fitness apps list, the app has to meet 3 criteria.
1. It must be free up front. The app may have in app purchases, but those purchases should not be required to use the basic functionality of the app
2. It needs to be user friendly. When you start a fitness or weight loss program, it can bog down your excitement and motivation by trying to navigate an app that is difficult to use. Simple is key here.
3. It needs to be fun. Gamification of goals and fitness keep you coming back for more. Challenges, community, tracking, habits, goals, all play a roll in making our best free fitness apps.

Agreed. Learning curve is so steep. Used to be a huge Lose it fan but it doesn’t allow you to work with a trainer or coach easily. Hopefully they keep their app simple.

Thanks for watching, 2 are non funnel, only my Weigh Down Wellness app is a funnel (but not a sales funnel) because the only way for the app to allow access is to get a name and email and then zap the login information to the persons email. No offers are attached to the funnel. Hope that explains it!

Hey man I’ve downloaded your weigh down wellness app, went online filled out the form for the link, got it and logged in but the app is blank with very little information and absolutely nothing workout, nutrition related, trainer, etc? Let me know if I’m missing something but there’s not an assigned trainer either… so I’m kind of confused? It’s very blank

I will be releasing tutorials about this app shortly. An update is coming out that will have robust nutrition info and rep and rest workout trackers like Strong. Assigning a trainer is for paid online training by our team of personal trainers. That will be released by May 1 as an option. Keep checking back to the website for updates and I will also send updates through in app notificationn. Thank you for signing up and in to the app! Its input like this that I love, as I'm trying to design the BEST fitness app for 2024.

I created an account and downloaded the app. But it's not obvious how to use it at all. Maybe I'm stupid but I can't seem to add a workout or anything. I tap on workouts, but it just says, "No workouts set up yet," without any obvious ways to set one up. I thought there would be a lot of free functionality like you said in the video, but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. I just input a bunch of personal data and got nothing that I can see. Feels like a bait and switch.

A fitbit would be useful for this. Big price up front but tracks all of this data easily and auto tracks ur workouts (based on ur heart rate i think, so mainly cardio)

I have an issue with MyFitnessPal. I tried the premium because it kept pushing and ended up canceling (since I wasn't using most of the features) and now it don't let me scan my food labels and keeps pushing for me to purchase the premium. I had to delete the app

Update: I didn't see the X to close the plan sales page. Definitely hidden in the top right corner. Just tried to sign up for MyFitnessPal, and it's behind a paywall. No value provided for free. Free trial but you have to enter payment info up front and no free ongoing value without a plan.

@@TheWellnessDoc Yep! And that's exactly why these companies offer a "free" trial. They don't stand to lose anything, we do. It's a dishonest business practice, and I steer clear of anything offering a free trial trap.

Samsung health is not supported at this time but we are planning on integrating it as it becomes more and more popular. Sorry about that! Hopefully apple health, Garmin or Fitbit are options you can use.

If you think about it, the MOST important aspect of fitness is not an app at all. It's having a plan, tracking, and executing the plan. All of these apps allow you to do that and please watch the videos showing you how there are free versions of these apps that are not just trial versions.

"The cheating cyclist from America" You mean the guy that was doing what the ENTIRE peloton was doing in early 2000s? And honestly, has raised more money for cancer, and helped people be placed on a path of health and wellness more than you ever will. The man has raised a HALF A BILLIOIN dollars through his foundation, given millions of his own money. JD you’re right. I shouldn’t have made that comment. I was just hurt as many Americans were once he was caught. Watched his documentary hoping for some type of remorseful statement and that didn’t happen either. Still, I agree I should focus on the good that he has done. Just bringing awareness to cancer research like he did has probably saved hundreds and thousands of lives. Sorry to lose you as a follower JD.

Well, he was. Just because we do bad things (and lets face it, Lance has done a LOT of bad things and doesn't seem to regret it - besides regret getting caught) doesn't mean we can't also do good things. Lance isn't a monster - but he's most definitely a cheating cyclist from America who took the doping problem in cycling to a whole other level which ment that he again made it absolutely impossible to win the big races in cycling without damaging your body with illegal drugs. Nobody's perfect. But if you want to state that you will unfollow something for telling a 100% fact then you should might reconsider your idea of you being a person "not insulting people" just after having stated that "chiropractors (are) so insecure" and that they are not real doctors.
