Mac staring into a whole nother dimension seeing those bars. Dudes freestyles were just whoa. Like everything from him was an existential conversation going more and more in depth than any other musician.
They all were, and the beats are almost never random. Anybody going to any of these shows without preparing is unprofessional, and frankly, with exception of a few emcees, we wouldn't want to hear that.
@@hiatus161 if you wanna see someone on sway actually freestyle, check Justina Valentine. It’s the best one that I’m confident was off top. If you just want goated freestyle, Harry Mack is the best who ever did it.
@@hihu1176 Yelawolf did Headshot not MGK. Here is a link to the MGK video about Em. It looks like Em loses this one. MGK"s song has over 200 million views while Em"s diss on MGK has less than 80 thousand and both videos uploaded in september 2018. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Fp0BScQSSvg.html
Omg em's syllable counts changes every 4 words and his flow is bouncing like a roller coaster. His words are all plays off of each other and there are puns on puns. He actually is a superhuman
Dicky writes them unfortunately, they are fire but he said he usually prepares a whole freestyle, which is awesome and impressive even to do all that especially at his level. But also I can’t count that as a freestyle, if he has some true bombs off the dome please link it!
@@bludshed oh, well I’m just quoting one I saw where he said he didn’t write one so he can’t do one, but he was open about writing them, I guess he didn’t mean every single one
I bet eminem is a beast at freestyling Anyway...But as much as he writes I'm sure he use written bars .. When M is in the car with proof thats a real eminem freestyle!
I already know ems freestyle like it's a regular song. Loved that freestyle so much was listening to it everyday for a minute. But nice to see other people enjoy it. And everyone that freestyled did a awesome job. Was loving the rawness of every rapper
Every single day as well..... it's on a unique level when em was going through some dark shit and the lyrics are better than 95% of all rap songs. Dickey has real talent lyrically, he's a vocab demon.
Lil Dicky's wasn't a freestyle though, it's a song. It's called 'Bruh' and it is on his 'Professional Rapper' album. He did that on Sway right before dropping the album.
Not a fan of most of his songs, but mac's freestyle was refreshing. It felt like a true freestyle. Nothing rehearsed. Just entirely off the top. I freestyle with some people every once in a while and watching him was like watching one of us on a good day. Never was a huge fan, but he still clearly had a talent and will be missed by many.
Man..... I feel the same way a lot lately. Like it really hurts like I knew him closely. I drop tears man. He should be here. He deserves to be here man......
Survival of the spit-est.. mad props.. it’s so hard to pronunciate, enunciate, breathe, think of your bars, keep the rhythm.. while everyone is watching. Gratitude
LD killed this, Mac Killed this, but Em's line "I was only supposed to swallow a half, I took the whole thing, I'm not joking, I think I just snorted my nose ring" wow.
RIP to Mac dude. I loved watching his freestyle the most, because it was really cool watching his eyes, so focused, you could see his mind turning as he kept ripping each line I love that the host paid him his dues after the freestyle. Super underrated rapper, that's for sure
Dicky was great, but a little too great. Seemed like a rehearsed song instead of just well prepared freestyle. I haven't gotten to Eminem's part before, but I've seen some of his best freestyles already. Mac Miller was killing it. Sounds legit, and is ill as fuck. Reminds me of Eminem (yeah). Of course, I had never heard of him before now... I forget the R.I.P. part so I'm Wikipedia'ing him to check. FUCK! That's fucking sad. Such talent. So young. On the positive side, it can help you further appreciate the works that did happen because this didn't.
Would've been awesome if Oli was part of this compilation 😇 Started years ago with his brother as "Bigflo Et Oli" . French work's on a hell of a time. Certainly on the level to stand up with those awesomely marvelous Bars 💯 ✌️peace in peeps 😎✨️
@@fighterready1761 I mean yeah, lyrically he's probably better than em imo if we're looking at actual content instead of his repetitive immature punchlines and double entendres
@@Gleeeeeave do you listen to his lyrics though, he isn't saying anything it's a bunch of sixth grade jokes getting told by a guy with the vocabulary of a 40 year old he isn't that lyrical, not anymore
Bro and at the end it was turned around to where he was just having fun and laughing again, his ability to display the rollercoaster of emotion he spits is about as amazing as his freestyle abilities.
Mac literally put em all in body bags. I will never get over the fact that I won't get to grow old with this dude and his music. I know for a fact I will still feel pain for his loss for the rest of my life, because his music/life left a permanent impact on me.
Mac spits fire. He's got a mad vocab. He's got respect too, givin props where props due. RIP MAC. Lil D sick AF too. Em, as always on point. They all spit it just like the best do.
When Mac said “watch a beat get buried in a hearse yeah I kill myself”, I just kinda zoned out. Still hurts to grasp that someone so talented is gone. RIP Mac..
I've been listening to Rap music since I was 10 and I'm 43 now. I try to freestyle and can't make it past 2 bars without sounding stupid. Talented artists man!!
I swear to God that Em loves to rap, he does it effortlessly, with passion. I bet deaf years couldn't comprehend what he uttered. RIP Mac, your music lives on forever 🙌
Dicky is on an entirely different level In the freestyle game, aside from his witty humerous lyrics, the ability to change his flow that many times and nail it, a lyrical genius. By far one of the most undeterred rappers of today’s age. He’s a huge inspiration for me
You can love Dicky as a rapper, but dude is not freestyling. Harry Mack free's live. He schemes instantly based on what gets thrown at him in the chat. No question Hmack is the best by far.
i dont have proof but im pretty sure dicky has A LOT of written shitt.....not saying hes not good, just his shit is TOO smooth. like, kinda obvious.....same with mgk. mack miller em etc is legit.
The Eminem freestyle on Tim Westwood’s show still blows my mind. I’ll never forget when I first saw that video release after just hearing the audio. I just pictured Em in the studio rapping off his notebook that he wrote all those raps in and then I saw the video and I was like, 🙀🙀🙀 “That was off the top?!* Everything they did was freestyle. Of course, they planned the “swag juice” hook, but they still just put that little bit together on the fly with the mics in their hands, without writing it down prior to rapping it. Pretty amazing…
@@merathe9391 it definately was. He's pretty clever. I'm sure some lyrics are pre planned but he has to rap to a random beat. He's one of the best in the world, what you got?
I think the freestyles people say are songs where freestyles first, then turned into a song, plus when you say enough words, similar phrases or lines are reused so 🤔
I have no idea what is perceived good, and not good within the rap industry. That being said, the first gentlemen's flow surpassed the others (to me). I was able to vibe and flow with him while he constructed the freestyle, impressive stuff.
Mac miller man ..! He takes a minute to get in the groove but his flow is nasty smooth. Thank you hot 97 for filming that Rip my man wish I could see you again too son too soon
(0:00 Lil Dicky) (2:53 Mac Miller) (6:15 Eminem) (15:20 MGK) (18:45 logic). 21:40 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥That fire was TOKEN’ s lyrics. Token burned this so called mixtape.
em went back to back beats man. different flows different rhymes and it goes on... shit still blows my mind its like they are songs or some shit its skill
So, I feel Logic and Lil Dicky did fantastic. However as a rapper myself, I know that after a long time of doing it you slip back in to your memorized phrases and work off of them which gives you more time to construct the next line in a freestyle. Where as Em and Mac were without a doubt going off the top. You can definitely tell Em has had more experience with rap battles than most. Logic was great, but his flow was constructed for a 10 syllable to 15 syllable scheme, where as Em changed his flow after every 4 to 8 bars as you should.
Definitely agree. But even doing that simpler flow would be incredibly hard for me to come up with anything and not even talking about rhymes. I’d probably do the most simple shit ever known to humanity 😂
only thing I could say is that, when Shady raps and rhymes, music and flow follows him... and the others, well, they're still following the flow and music.
they missed the hardest bars wit Lil Dicky "Im trying to get Blue in most states like Barack, i'm tryna show a boo the last name of the rock" HARDDD Lil Dicky
Black Thought had one of the dopest freestyles on Flex. And is the 🐐 in my opinion! He is an alien and in a league of his own. Check out Cheat Codes with Danger Mouse, a masterpiece!
Eminem might be the only one actually freestyling. that's why you have to reference things in the local environment to prove you're making it all up right there
Mac Miller threw in his verse from "Claymation" towards the end of his freestyle! I still listen to that song daily. RIP Mac real shit I miss that man and I never met him a day in my life
What's with all you young dudes raised on radio rap..plastic illuminati trash...n you found Mac Miller who you all idolize only because he died....oh and was EMO as hell. Is that why ? You're generation is full of fragile as fuck estrogen oozing lazy cry babies. So maybe the EMO is what got y'all? Not saying you personally are a fragile lazy pussy only that your generation raised on cell phones, CRT, trannies, and Xanax with my generation for parents is full of weak dudes. Most prob never slept in the woods or killed an elk. Never walked or rode your bike for miles daily with no phone no instant info on anything.... Never washed cars, mowed lawns, delivered papers or whatever for money to hit the arcade at the mall. Anyway I kinda went off oops. Check out some immortal technique , Vinnie paz, army of pharaohs, old dirty bastard....
