Hey brother that was a fun video to make with you and it was a fun video to watch . I was trying to fast tonight but after watching that I feel like I need to go eat something damn you lol 😂
Wow, a fried rice buffet! What happened to the expression “The more the merrier”? 😇 You had enough for Katherine, Lucas and the gang. Stay safe and healthy to all.
Thank you for showing innovations in something as ubiquitous as fried rice. It shows Taiwanese cuisine is vibrant and lively. 御廚 means royal kitchen. The last one uses the ingredients served as a stew to women recovering from giving birth. Remaking it as fried rice is a clever idea.
I am so jealous watching this while eating my Bibimbap frozen dinner from Trader Joe's... I would love the Tainan fried rice with shrimpy flavor and the one from 阿霞飯店. It's a really famous local restaurant in Tainan. Basically, I am dying to try any of those dishes in your video. 😭
Oh...I only just noticed, the Taoyuan one actually came from my home town- Zhongli district , and is not far from where I was born , will give a try next time when I'm home
That is popularly known as Nasi Goreng in Dutch and Europe, as Indonesia was under Dutch rule for long time. In Indonesia, the 4 main "Goreng" (Fried) dishes are the following: 1. Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) - the most common and ultimate 2. Mie / BakMie Goreng (Fried Noodle) , with Nasi Goreng, this is the very common, and most people in Indonesia are into these both. 3. Bi-Hoon / Mi-Hun Goreng (Fried Vermicelli Noodle) - not as common as those two above, but is still lovely by the local people. 4. KweTiao Goreng (Fried Rice Noodle) - the pronounciation is very similar with how the Thai, Laos, Cambodian and Viet Namese peolle call that. Lol. And except Nasi Goreng (Chi Fan), the three dishes above got the name from Hok Kien (Southeast Chinese NON-Mandarin language group that are common in Fu Jian, Taiwan, Philippines and the rest of Indonesian and Malaysian of Chinese descent overseas). Thanks for sharing Indonesian style Fried Rice, or otherwise, Nasi Goreng. The herbs and spicies are lovely and tasty. If you go to Bali and Jakarta and other big cities in Indonesia and even Malaysia and Singapore, one of the most common menu dishes of main course is Nasi Goreng with various varieties. There are various Nasi Goreng of Indian and Middle East style, known as Biryani, and served mainly for Muslims which pork is forbidden. While Nasi Goreng, you may still have big chance to find pork contained, especially in the Chinese-style and Balinese-style restaurants.
Excellent vlog, Taiwan has fantastic fried rice dishes. However, I have to give my No. 1 vote to my Mom's fried rice. Too bad, you can't buy it. Of course, Din-Tai Fong's fried rice is not that far behind my Mom's.
