I personally don't really find Good Girl to be a gourmand.. It does smell sexy and expensive, I will give it that, but that's the jasmine coming through for me. So many people love it and I wanna love it but I'm just very picky when it comes to florals. Maybe I'll fall in love one day.
My favorite ones are: d&g the only one, flowerbomb nectar intense (my signature Winter/fall scent), d&g limperatrice (signature summer scent), prada candy by night, viva la juicy, miami blossom/Island kiss/Flor de sol by escada, also scandal by night and la nuit tresor ❤
Gourmand fragrances are my favorite! My favorites are Love by Kilian...Princess by Kilian...Soft by Al-Rehab....Ristretto Intense Café by Montale..Fresh Fig by Laura Mercier...and Hypnotic Poison.

I am disappointed today bc I’ve been convinced Hypnotic Poison was going to be my signature scent (I’m very much a Leo and loooove vanilla) but I received a sample in the mail today and I reeeaaally did not like it!! It smelled sort of bitter or sour to me. I’m excited to try the Jimmy Choo and Angel. I do wear La Vie Est Belle and am about to get Si Passione from a Sephora gift set and I loooove both of those. It’s a fun journey through fragrances and your videos are so fun to use to guide me towards new scents!
I went and tested jimmy choo and it was nauseating to me ☹️ I felt like the sweetness was nice but the florals is what was amplified. Gave me granny vibes. I was quite disappointed. I wanted to love it

Jimmy Choo ended up smelling like shaving cream on me. Not sure why. :( Love Good Girl. Another good one is Fancy by Jessica Simpson and Gold Couture by Juicy Couture.

See, Jimmy Choo is probably my least favorite. I don't smell pear in it (that's in in my all time favorite, Givenchy L'interdit) but the only thing I like about it is a faint, very faint, smell of gasoline or leather. I don't know if I'm the only one that smells but that's what I like about it.
Has anyone tried the MONDE LE GOURMANDE ones ? They have a bunch of good value sets I wanna try! ESP interested in lait de coco (coconut milk) , Mais souffle (popcorn) , pistachio brûlée , and the chai spice one !

I don't understand why La Vie est Belle is so popular. To me it smells very "old" like something an old lady would wear or a young lady would wear like 90 years ago. Bonbon is nice but I feel like it's way too expensive for how quick it fades. My favorite gourmand for lasting as well as scent and compliments is Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy Sucré. And sometimes just regular Viva la Juicy. Sucré smells like frosting but also pretty and men seem to go nuts for it. Also the Armani Si Passione gets a lot of compliments too. I also love Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy Limited Edition which they claim is the same scent as the original in a different bottle but I swear the scent is different.
@@SweetNancy2704 La Nuit Tresor I have never smelled actually but I do think the original 1990s Tresor smells like baby wipes. 😂 Mon Paris is not my favorite by any means but I do think it's pleasant. I don't think it smells similar to La Vie est Belle though. To me Mon Paris has a young fun vibe because it smells fruity like berries. I know there is floral and patchouli in it as well but the floral isn't overpowering and smells updated. La Vie est Belle on the other hand to me is too powdery and sweet and not in a fruity way at all. I know it has a couple fruit notes but to my nose it's more vanilla, praline, fake sugary and tonka bean. Which I don't like on their own but I also don't think it mixes well with the "old" florals or with the patchouli also in it. I do like patchouli but only in a prominent intentional way. Like if I go for it I want a Narciso Rodriguez For Her or a Kat Von D Sinner. Something to give me an outright purposeful hippie vibe. Not trying to pick on Lancome though because I have liked some of their scents in the past and I absolutely love their new Idole. And I could be way off on my perception of the florals in La Vie est Belle smelling dated. A lot of people dislike Chanel No 5 for the reason of smelling dated but I don't think it does. I adore it and think it smells timeless and classic. In a way it reminds me of perfume I smelled as a small child so it makes me happy. That's what I think is so great about perfume. We all have different preferences and we all have different memories and since scent is so strongly tied to memory, 2 people could smell the same fragrance and pick up on the exact same notes yet one would love it and one would hate it based purely on good or bad memories. And to me that is so interesting.
I smelled La Vie est Belle the other day..um NO! it's just AWFUL!! i don't get any of the sweet notes in it at all! To me Bath and Body Works Into the Night Is pretty much the same..and i don't like it either..i just can't do all the patchuli. That's all i smell. YUCK!!! 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
I hate it on first spray but it becomes a really lovely vanilla after a few hours. Couldn’t pull the plug and buy it though because I can’t get on board with that weird opening.
@@OpinionatedScents I wouldn't wear Hypnotic Poison out but I do use it as a nighttime fragrance. I love and wear Poison Girl EDP. This "partnership" works for me!!
