@@aoidre7639 I only play valorant and it gets a slightly choppy 144 FPS at 1080p I also play destiny 2 but I haven't looked at how many FPS I get but it runs pretty well.
I mean it really does depend on what games you're playing tho. Any recent triple a releases or anything being done in ue5 with the exception of games like Fortnite are going to require a bit more than that from now on.
@@baoquoc3710 Nah, I'm happy with that 2080TI, I'll skip RTX 4000 completely and only real upgrade for me would be a 3090 or 4090 but these are a little bit too expensive.
I got the 6700xt with my 10400f. Yeah in some games the CPU is at 100% usage while the gpu is chilln, but if you can afford it, it's great to have that gpu headroom that rivals a 3070. +It has 12GB vram, tasty I can max cyberpunk and even throw in some ray traced local shadows. 60-80fps average.
@@CLOYO well the 1070 is becoming the new "minimum" for games, flat and vr. It will die the death the 1060 did, slow yet honorable. The 1070 ti is a Lil better, but the 1080 better, and the 1080 ti is around as good as a 3060 I think and might last a few more years than the non ti variant
All Pascal GPUS from GTX 1060 6GB and up are still very relevant. They might struggle in very unoptimised games like star field but let’s be honest: at that point it really ain’t the GPU’s fault but rather the way games are (un)optimised these days and all rely on upscaling techniques (which is a very bad development). For pretty much all popular optimised games GTX 1060 6GB will run it at 1080p. GTX 1070 will be able to run quite a lot of games at high settings at 1080p and it can even do some 1440p in very very well optimised titles like Forza horizon 5. GTX 1080 and 1080 ti are still beasts. I saw Zwormz Gaming runs Forza Horizon 5 at 8K 30fps with that last thing 💀. Trust me: yes 3 and 4gb pascal cards are suffering for sure. But as long as you play fairly optimised games, the 6Gb, 8Gb and 11Gb pascal cards aren’t dead for a long time. Pascal was probably the best architecture Nvidia ever had. It was a huge performance and efficiency boost over the previous 900 series’s. It was also the last lineup where Nvidia actually cared about their customers
@@samoerai6807 I checked a 1060 6gb 2023 review and you're right it still kicks ass, and the Same goes for the 1070. I did mean my "1060 death/1070 is going too" remark regarding both of them becoming the "minimum" for AAA games and now VR. Also yeah the 4gb cards like the 1050 ti at least for me struggles in titles it shouldn't like rdr2 and fortnite lol. It's only been a month and a 1070 became a necessity
I remember the days when everyone was either Ryzen 5 3600 or I5 10400F. Its not even that long ago lol, kinda insane these once top of the line budget cpus are becoming irrelevant with stuff like the 13100 etc
No. A 10400F is fine for a 6700XT, especially at 1440p. Zach, next time I hope you do a little bit of research before making these videos. Look up 1440p benchmark videos of an i5 10400F/i7 8700/ ryzen 3600 paired with a 6700XT.
He said it would bottleneck in SOME titles, not sure if SOME of those would run. And also, he said 1080p, so your missing out, you should do your research
Just have to say that I have a 10500 Intel CPU and a rtx 3050 and the 3050 is bottlenecked pretty heavy by the 10500. No to say that a Rx 6650 xt isn't a good budget card but it would be even more of a bottle neck then what I have but a whole lot. For clarification I have 64 GB of 3200 of ram. Personal the arc a 580 sounds better, but I don't have any experience with it so take that with a grain of salt.
Hi Zach, what used gpu would you pair with an i7 10700f. I currently have a 1660 ti. And would it be worth it to upgrade the cpu eventually, or the cpu and motherboard?
You really have no upgrade path for the CPU since the 11700K and 11900K are very minor upgrades over 10th gen, so I would be keeping my eye on a Ryzen 7700. That way you can still have an eight core CPU and AM5 will have an upgrade path for at least a few more years. But an RX 6700 XT should work fine with your current CPU if you'd rather keep that. If you want a faster GPU like an RX 6800 or 7800 XT, there will probably be a CPU bottleneck, so you would have to upgrade that too.
I'm stuck with an i5-10400 and an RTX 3070.....not the greatest but upgrading to an i5-14600kf with a ddr5 motherboard, kept the cost for the upgrade under $400 though

Is 5700 xt and 10400f good for 1080p AND 1440p? Also will this combo be able to run higher refresh rates like 144hz or even 165hz at 1080p? I have a lot of confusion from all this so i will also ask if i can run 1080p on high and low settings without bottleneck and 1440p. Because i play competetive games and also games that are good with high textures and graphics😁
Hi Zach, day 14 of asking if you could help me making a 1400$ pc with a 4070, or even with amd if it's worth it, knowing that I don't just play games and I would prefer to have nvidia features. I was also thinking about a 7600x or a 12600k but I don't really think it would fit with the price, there is also the 12400f 100$ cheaper, so if I can have your opinion on this, it would be perfect!
The 6700 xt should work great with that (works well with my i3 12100f). I was able to pick it up used for about $250. You could also get a 6600 for about $150 used if you're okay with mostly 1080p gaming. There's some solid Nvidia cards with similar performance, but they'll generally be a little bit pricier. DLSS is a good selling factor, though.
I used to run a 1060 6gig with an i5 8600k that could run most any game perfect on 1080p. Went to an i7 10700kf with a 3060 and now I only struggle with squad occasionally and I play at 2k now
look im using a i5 8th gen with 6 cores and a 1050ti. and ill say the cpu doesnt really matter that much cuz tbh the system is bottlenecked by the 1050ti. i would say cuz for myself i would need a low power and small gpu cuz my case it tiny i don't want to move to a bigger one cuz im a student with a small room and desk.

I have a rx6600 with the same cpu so is a little bit faster than your 2060 them I can say you can try elden ring and witcher 3 at ultra 1080p 80 fps both are awesome games

I wouldn't pair it with a RX 6600 (XT) because motherboards for the i5-10400F only have PCIe 3.0. and since the RX 6600 only has 8-lanes it will have less bandwith then it needs (in some situations)
@@willdeveigne3698 when you have a 500 series chipset on your motherboard it has support for PCIe 4.0, but it will only run PCIe on 3.0 with a 10th gen Intel CPU. PCIe 4.0 is only supported with 11th gen Intel CPU's on your motherboard
So uh what do you think of 11400f with 3080 ti on 1440p? Thats what im using now, although after doing some research I've decided that its more than enough for 1440p but in some games i started to notice some stutter and drops,could the cpu be the problem ?
i bought some cyberpower prebuilt for 1000 dollers a couple years ago and it has 10400f 1660 ti and 8gb ram (I upgraded it to 32gb tho) im building a new one tho with 7800x3d and 7800xt for 1500 dollars
I was wondering, I have an i7 10700k processor, a Z590 AORUS ELITE motherboard that I got both for free, 16GB of RAM, and a 650W PSU. I'm seeking advice: would it be more profitable to sell the parts separately or build a complete PC I also want to know if building the pc would be more easier and convenient Additionally, should I invest in a GPU to enhance its value before selling?
I would just sell the parts separately myself, or all 4 together if you can, I doubt building the rest of the pc will get you any value at all. In my experience most people who buy used pc parts know enough to put the parts together, so they won't care if they have to get a used graphics card from someone else
