My opinion of the best anti-fest utility trailer lock heavy duty. It’s a proven lot goes for about 275 on Amazon I was able to get mine for 80 bucks off of offer up keep your eyes out there to find a good deal found mine out here in San Antonio Texas the 901 proven lock from proven industries. If you don't use your trailer much, just take a wheel off it and put the wheel out of sight. I've never had a trailer stolen after doing this. Thieves are opportunists for the most part and won't spend the time to jack it and put a wheel on a cheaper trailer.

My trailer is in a storage facility and there are a lot trailers there they would just take a wheel from another trailer if they want it they will get so by doing any preventative theft protection is only keeping honest people honest

Locks keep an honest man honest. A trailer thief will just drill out that tumbler and take that right off. But definitely a better deterrent than nothing.

I think the best anti theft for a trailer is designing a removable hitch for it. Dont want someone to connect with your trailer and drag it away? Just take the whole attachment point off and engage a parking break on the inside so they cant pull it

He is a pro the kids that run around at night are not pros they will definitely take a little longer then have to get the 2 other locks off and get past All 4 dogs I hope I wake up before then lol if not they earned it lol.

Definitely agree I have the hitch locked, one tire lock then a chain through the tire and trailer lol.

Then mateee comes at 3am along with his home made clamp which clamps around your anti theft device and drives away ~ “If someone’s gunna steal your shit,, they will steal it”.., Edit.. With you adding a chain, removing a wheel etc will definitely help 👍

True thats why I also talk about adding a chain to the back tires, the more you ant theft the trailer the better. The lock was step 1 still more to come. No matter how much you do if they want it they want it but gotta make it a little hard. Next I am installing a GPS tracker under the trailer, Milwaukee sells them at Home Depot now.

Lock picking lawyer showed how you can just drill through the front of the lock and the pin will pop right out. Takes 30 seconds

A PRO 30 seconds someone watching RU-vid and trying it I say 1-2mins maybe longer. Then you should have at least 1 or 2 other locks to take longer. It’s all about making it hard so they go to the next trailer.

I heard that they also did a whole redesign on the puck lock, putting the mechanism on the opposite side, away from the side you can drill

@patriot524 I have 5 of these locks, they did do a redesign. Mine do not have that hole on the front sleeve like LPL had.

My plate is in my truck not displayed at all lol I took it off and put it inside been fine for over 2 years. If I get pulled over will just show them and be on my way. I stay in San Antonio the 7th biggest city in the USA trust me the cops have way better stuff to do.
