Insulting the ship is fine but insulting someone's slug thrower especially if it designed for being used in high gravity is just wrong even if it has only 5 shots, a snub nose and chambered for something that is slightly weaker than what police & military use.

Yes There is even a doctrine set out by the supreme court about what constitutes fighting words. Its been all but abandoned in modern times for anything short of Direct Repeated racial slurs and threats of violence.
