Best Horror BOOKS and MOVIES of 2024 (so far) 

Favorite horror books I’ve read so far this year: - Bloom (sapphic slow burn summer horror) - You’re not supposed to die tonight (cheesy summer camp horror) - Helen House (grief horror novella with sapphic main characters) - Bless your heart (vampire hunter family tracking down vampires in the 90s in the south - gorier than you’d expect but also with so much heart)

This is the first year I've ever had a running list of favourite films rather than spending two days before new years frantically going back through everything and trying to remember 😆At this stage my top 10 would be Red Rooms, The First Omen, Abigail, A Quiet Place Day One, The Coffee Table, Exhuma, The Animal Kingdom, Infested, I Saw The TV Glow, What You Wish For and Under Paris. Kinda a ridiculous list but I expect it to change very soon! Also worth noting that a bunch of films I saw at festivals last year are starting to come out, films like Birdeater, Femme and Tiger Stripes and I think they're worth seeking out too!

I loved Lisa Frankenstein - can’t think of another horror movie I’ve loved as much this year so far but I plan on watching Maxxxine soon and I’m hoping I love that one!

Been doing my best with book catch up cause of timing reasons, so no picks there, apologies lol. A Quiet Place for sure, EXHUMA was dope. And Frog Man which won't get mentioned probably lol, but it's A catches you off guard good I thought. And of course all the mentions here too 👌🏽🤘🏼U rock forever media 👸

I really enjoyed The First Omen, Immaculate and Abigail, Dan Stevens his douchey character is hilarious Lately I didn't read any books, yesterday I ordered Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman

The only horror movies I've only watched this year are A Quiet Place: Day One, Abigail and The First Omen. 😅
