Silence of the Lambs is one of the best horror films from this decade for me. I know some (probably including you) don't consider it horror but I do and it is just a masterpiece. The casting was perfection and it was honestly disturbing at times as well.

@hanng1242
@hanng1242 3 года назад
Do you think so? I don't think that the original holds up very well. The singing is a bit over done, and the overt Christianity vs paganism thing just doesn't work today because society has become so much more godless. It might also be because I am an American, and we have no established church, so a police officer being officially outraged by the pagans makes little sense over here. Plus, I like the message of the remake - feminism is a murderous cult.

Agree! The original wicker man is an absolute classic from the 70’s It’s considered folk horror ( for those who don’t know)which has become very popular these days. At first I was put off by the music in it as well but I realized that it was a bit unnerving to know that they commit sacrifices and sing be merry as if nothing horrible happens. Don’t think she’ll ever have a video about 70’s horror or anything before that too much exploitation horror in that decade And probably anything before the 70s she probably find boring

I'm so glad you had The Faculty on this list, it was one of the first horror films I ever watched and I love it but it scared the crap out of me at the time! I'd also add The Silence of the Lambs, Braindead, and Interview With the Vampire to this list

I'm so glad that you enjoyed Candyman! I grew up watching it, (I'm 2years older than you) and its a big part of my childhood and one of the reasons I'm such a big horror fan!

I haven't seen this movie yet... But there's a semi-new horror movie called "Possum" that was made in 2018 and I reeeaaaally want to know your opinion on it! Again, I haven't actually seen it yet, but the trailer definitely made a strange impression.. Another great video btw! Scream is my fave horror series ever. Cliché, I know, but I just can't resist 🤷🙂

There are several subtle hints at the ending of Jacobs Ladder that are only realized by viewers who have watched it multiple times

You should do a scary shows series, I’d love to see your opinions of servant (more suspense and confusion) and the scream series (obvi) I think that would be so cool

What a great list ! It hits close to home because I grew up with those films in my teens. It must be impossible for audiences today to actually understand the impact of Blair Witch Project, Sixth Sense or even Seven. My favorite horror film from the 90s would be “Silence of the Lambs” if it can be considered Horror, if not then i’d say Seven.

Thank you for mentioning "Jacob's Ladder"- such a great movie and I think alot of people haven't seen it (or even heard of it) unfortunately.... this is one of those movies that requires multiple viewings- you pick up different stuff every time you watch it......

5:17 You've hit the nail on the head. Lists are personal. I never get people coming out of the woodwork to fight with or be mean to someone just because they don't agree with the picks. Like, make your own list if you want to! Why attack people for theirs?
