Best k-pop anniversary song ever??? Dreamcatcher 'REASON' Reaction! 

Umu has no idea how much impact this channel has done to some of us insomnia's lives. Their reaction to Boca made me intrigued and checked Dreamcatcher out and I was immediately in love. Now I have influenced other friends to be inSomnias as well. Thanks, Umu!!!

Answering the question in the title: yes.

I loved that even Jiu and Sua got to belt in this song. And how the rap showed the evolution of Dami rapping in the beginning, then Sua and Dami, then now it's Gahyeon and Dami rapping.

This song introduced something really unique: 4 chorus belting parts, by four different singers (Siyeon, Yoohyeon, JiU and SuA taking turns and slaying) and 3 rap parts, by Dami, SuA and Gahyeon, representing the three rap eras. And of course Handong going for the highly memorable sweet melodic pre-chorus part, once more.

I can't even begin to describe how proud I am of them. They're flexing their rock and vocal muscles, while all three rappers make an appearance. InSomnia might be lifting them up, but they should know, they are also carrying us. Happy 6th anniversary, Dreamcatcher! Can you imagine this song live? With us InSomnia going Whoooo-whoooaaa and them singing over it? 😊 I wouldn't be surprised if the animations were done by a fan, I seem to recognize the style. Whoever did them, they did a great job. I see the book from the Nightmare arc, the mask from Scream, the gun from R.o.S.E Blue, the gagged bust from Boca, the cup from Odd Eye, the hand through the mirror from Good Night and the clock from Piri. Musically, I am in heaven. I'm a metalhead and I love the song. AND THAT RIFF! 🤘🎸 Obviously the song is an absolute anthem!

ReacttotheK is one of the OG reactors for Dreamcatcher... many people in USA started listening to the girls after they watched the reaction and music breakdown of Dreamcatcher here... especially Umu and Kevin... it's like around 5 years now i since i first watched them... and this video is about Dreamcatcher's 6th Anniversary song...

I cried so hard when I first watched this MV. They deserve so much more than they've been given and we are working so hard to give that to them. The first win and them performing on an awards show were on their personal bucket lists as idols. I can't wait to see how much they grow in the coming years. Seeing InSomnia at the end continuing to watch over them as a proud friend/parent would is so powerful.

I was waiting for this one, mostly because of the fact that this is a highly sentimental fan song, done in the Dreamcatcher style. I know that Umu has been a long-time InSomnia so I was looking forward to the reaction to all of the historical callbacks. Having the song be a bit closer to their classic, more hard-rock based style is an appropriate choice but there's still "modern Dreamcatcher" in the song because you can hear how far the members have come in singing talent. Dami is joined by both SuA and Gahyeon, JiU is power vocaling and belting, Handong carries some of the most iconic lines, and Siyeon and Yoohyeon provide the vocal anchor and foundation they've come to contribute as Main and Lead Vocal respectively. It's a really cool blend of both their older and newer styles. As for the story the video tells, it just fits with the song's swaps between soft emotion and hard charging energy. Dreamcatcher isn't and has never been the most popular K-Pop group and have scratched and clawed their way against odds to become sustainable, happy and successful from what we can see. It's clear the group cherishes their fans as a result of that, and the animation shows how hard it's been for them grinding for 6 years and having the fans help boost them when they've been feeling tired and down. It's a competitive, yet sometimes harsh industry, and it's not getting any easier with some monster 4th gen girl groups now in the mix - but I do feel no matter where Dreamcatcher ultimately ends up for however long their renewal period is, they'll have made their mark in K-Pop as the best "alternative K-Pop" and rock girl group out there. The fans are a big part of that, as is their dogged persistence and talent - and REASON reflects that in spades.

Yes, I still remember when I first listened to this song in a cafe. In that day, (we) Hong Kong InSomnia was celebrating its 6th anniversary, I took over the cafe's speaker and played the song; everyone put down their work, and their coffee, and listened to it together, we teared up. From their lyrics, "There is Dreamcatcher because of InSomnia; We are always with InSomnia, we can spend more time" but at the same time "There is InSomnia because of Dreamcatcher; We are always with Dreamcatcher, we can spend more time, together, we can break the limit!" ReacttotheK introduced me to Dreamcatcher back in the Scream era and they are now one of my ult groups. I saw them in Atlanta last month and Reason was indeed awesome as a live song.

This channel, specifically Umu, is the reason why I got to know Dreamcatcher. It was back in April 10, 2017- when you posted the Dreamcatcher reaction video of you guys. That was I guess the best discovery in my whole life. You are one of the main Reason why I am an insomnia today ❤

The rap is done by Dami, SuA and Gahyeon, the chorus by Siyeon, Yoohyeon, JiU and SuA and Handong got the iconic english line that addressing InSomnia and she and GaHyeon got the lines before the rap parts. This song is so damn good, and it absolutely slaps as an encore live. Thank You Umu for introducing me to Dreamcatcher. I found them through a top ten songs list which you made back in Jan of 2019, featuring "You and I." Truly, being an InSomnia has brought tons of joy into my life, and Dreamcatcher's music has got me through some tough moments. I am forever grateful to this channel for helping me discover one of my favorite musical acts of all time, right up there with Iron Maiden and Sullivan King. So thanks again yall, keep being awesome.

Reason made me so happy, having watched Dreamcatcher grow from Minx all the way to now. And I always appreciate your reactions to them, always hyping them up, they deserve it so much. And about the sound of the kick drum: it's not just the material of the head: micing both the resonant and the batter heads is super common for metal, and Leez and Olluonder definitely use sample sets made for metal.

This channel introduced me to DC back in 2017 when you all reacted to Chase Me/Good Night, so this feels very full circle :))) they're my honest to god favourite group and I have lots to thanks to umu for this.

Some observations you might find interesting. The rap segments in the song follow the same progression as the rap line in the group. The first rap was Dami + SuA. The second was just Dami. The final rap was Gahyeon + Dami. The items floating around during the animated segments not only represent different eras, each item represents one of the members. JiU's gun from Rose Blue, Gahyeon's mask and so on. You caught on to the different outfits on the animated members representing different eras. However, I think you mistook JiU for SuA in the Fly High outfit (based on the pictures of the members you put on the screen). The struggle is them pulling themselves out of obscurity, putting up with the nay-sayers, anti's and haters and, in general, dragging the group from the bottom of the heap, a group with an unpopular concept and sound nonetheless, up to a point where they are actually winning awards. This is depicted by the endless spiral staircase. You may have also noticed the giant pink hand of InSomnia coming to pick them up when they were at their worst point. There was also a segment with snippets from each of their solo song dance practices towards the end.

I never love such a kpop group this hard.. Dreamcatcher is the first.. For me they aren't just making music.. But they wrote story in my heart 💕

The whole distribution is amazing good. Dami Gahyeon Sua rap. Siyeon Jiu Yoohyeon and Sua each hitting the high notes of the chorus. Handong singing the wisest and purest message of the lyrics with her amazing voice. This song is perfection. Oh and Dami riding this second verse with the slow rap. Amazing 😵‍💫💕

The thing with them walking up the stairs I take t as their struggles. Especially coming from a small company and as a group doing the rock genre which was a big gamble for the company. Always just missing that elusive 1st win but finally reaching the top. They're still not that popular in Korea but have really come into their own with the help of international fans
