Fun thing about Tension, it was supposed to be the title track for the Good night album but then it was changed to the Good night we all know. So I think that's why it remindes all of us to their earlier sound.

あえ Usually Siyeon is credited for the backing vocals in the photobook of the album at the end, with the lyrics of the songs. I imagine if Yoohyeon participated in 새벽 she would be credited in the photobook.

Speaking honestly: this album might actually be one of the best albums in kpop because no song is bad or mediocre. They’re all either SUPER likable or ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. I would rate every song from A- to S+. LEEZ and Ollounder are music geniuses I can see becoming super popular choices among companies. Also what do you think the genre for Red Sun is? I know there’s some trap influence, but I can’t figure out what else is in it.

The MJ influence is sprinkled throughout. Black or White, Scream and Black or White’s riff is Beat It. Can’t wait for the back half of the album, my favorite song of the album is on it. On the first half, it’s definitely Tension followed by Black or White.

I feel like you have such a solid grasp on what Kpop is and should be, as well as a big picture, with the way you already see the performance/choreo that could go along with it and I’ve heard you talk deeply about concepts as well. I heard somewhere that Jazz bar wasn't inspired so much by actual jazz, but rather the lofi hip jop jazz style music that is quite popular on streaming sites and in cafes, it's generally these very smooth melodic tunes with quite easy to follow hip hop beats, that makes them great for background music or just music to chill to.

As someone who has studied jazz music in guitar classes i do agree jazz bar should have went harder on the genre, but i also think it's a smooth and relaxing song that is easy to listen to. I hope they will do "proper" jazz in the future, but in kpop scene this song and TVXQ's Truth are the jazz-est we have ever went, so it's def unique

I love the whole album but the vibe of Jazz Bar makes it my favourite, I don’t usually prefer “chill” songs to “bop” songs but even before I understood the lyrics I got exactly what it’s about and that “Pretending not to look at them while weighing everything in your head” feeling is relatable as hell.

110% agree with your take on Jazz Bar. It's not jazz, other than the short Dami Vocal part, where the drums actually play the standard swing pattern and we got some walking bass action going on. It's more like a low fi pop version, with some jazz piano influences, which is totally fine. I also don't think it wants to be Jazz. It's just a chill song, where the title might be a bit misleading. Nevertheless it's still one of my favorite songs on the album, because it is such a nice quiet change up to the more heavy sounding rest.

I was waiting for your reaction, some educational feedback. I said the same thing for black or white , Its " beat it " by Michael Jackson. ( And I received hate comments for that , even when i said it's inspired and not copied, they just removed every alternate note of "beat it" e guitar part🤷) I was waiting for your reaction for dami's voice ( that jazz bit) in jazz bar 🤭, this is my fav song in the album 💜, Dystopia is made for the Korean / kpop loving public. The intro from Black or White looks a lot like some guitar riffs from a Brazillian musical genre called Mangue Beat. This was not only a genre but a cultural movement from the 90s, which mixed eletrical guitars and some elements from rock with traditional Brazillian genres, more specifically from the Northeast region of Brazil, like Coco, Ciranda, etc. If you guys listen to the album "Da Lama ao Caos" (From Mud to Chaos) by Chico Science and Nação Zumbi, you'll see some similarities with that amazing intro from the song. The first half of this album is my favorite, Black or White is just fantastic, and UMU reaction to Dami's rap was mine, finally she was getting a good long rap and she killed it. Although I like Loona and Gfriend a lot but this may be my favorite album so far this year.

I’d love to hear Jazz Bar live with jazzier quarter or quintet arrangement. It’d make for a really cool special stage because I can see them really playing up the cooler jazz-style vocals

At first I'm also thinking why. But then I read the lyrics and Jazz Bar as title literally pertains to the singer singing in a "jazz" bar, admiring someone from the audience, wishing they'd feel the same way too. I might be wrong but this was the first song ever that dreamcatcher clearly sings about liking someone. And to think that the girls wrote the lyrics. ♥️♥️
