Ive been trying to figure out, what is the green circle on the map from bots and turrets is and what are the loading bars that pop up on the screen that says turret or the prox mine thing
@@lazerjon1st that's the range that you have to be in for your abilities (turret and alarmbot) to be active. They deactivate if you walk outside of that green circle.
yeah i dont understand too if its good to put molly while theres no enemy or we need to put molly if theres enemy. killjoy molly is so hard to control because of people dont enter the site
@@kierwon i think u have to predict like if its the start of the match then youll set up 1 molly at B but if they went A and lost they most likely are going B so you can go all out on B
there’s also a spot on bind in hookah where the alarmbot hides inside a pillow. it’s the small pillow on the floor next to the box facing hookah window. no one ever sees it and they get so surprised when it attacks them lol
i place a molly in the pillow in the corner then an alarm bot behind the box on the side closest to the window and a molly on top of that. i’ve gotten prob like 90% of my utility kills from that setup alone
@@Joel-oe7ud after the 1 time they get obliterated there, they never come back. i then switch my setup to long then once they catch on to that & start going hookah again, i put my setup below window
I was pretty much becoming a killjoy main but i didnt know how to play her anymore with the nerfs! thank u so much this video is gonna be so helpful now T.T
why are these videos so helpful. like even though i never memorize anything, as I watch it more and more I remember more and more lineups and setups. and my memory isn't even that good

I think my favorite spot on Icebox is B defending tube. Place your turret on the hill into kitchen to watch under tube, throw an alarmbot above the slope of tube (so its harder to see), then throw a molly in tube and a molly outside of tube-into-kitchen. Play in kitchen and mop up the rush. It’s probably really helpful when your teammates want to play mid ramp instead of letting you play it.
I love Killjoy, and I was looking for some more areas for my turret, and I found way more than just a turret guide. I am very thankful that you made this video :)

Patch 1.11 has been such a big change for us Killjoy mains, and its maps like icebox that make her feel weak. Keep uploading the good content man, Appreciate it
Good point! If I'm showing lineups I'll enable outlines or something in the future so it's easier to see. That lineup in particular has a very large margin of error, you can throw up/down/left/right of where I threw it and it'll have relatively the same effect. :)

I clutched 2 times with the ascent setups on B yesterday just by popping the granades and killed the one that was left. This has never happened to me before. Thanks!
I have some setups to mention for icebox... For B site -: Turret in the upper floor of that structure(which you access through kitchen)... so that it shoots the enemies who enter the site and those who already entered and peek from behind the yellow box the alarmbot position is the same but try putting in a molly somewhere there because with your turret shooting and they covering different other angles...a molly must spice things up. Also you can put your alarmbot in the kitchen with a molly there (this is insane...i have tried) For A site -: Turret can be on the A RAFTERS or above that structure on A screens(on top of it) and that molly you showed was insane... i have been getting constant kills from that. Put your alarmbot on one the two opening for A site.
During the start of a round as a defender in ice box, I placed all my utilities in B site with the swarm grenades behind the tall yellow boxes where enemies would normally hide but they were pushing A site so I went there immediately with my utilities. However when it was 2 v 1, the enemy rotated and planted to B site but died when I activated the grenade. The enemy chat got so wild accusing me of wall hacking when everything was just a hunch lol
Thanks dude so much for the video. I always used to main Killjoy but with the new update it was making me regret maining her. I was thinking about not using her anymore, but after this video you changed my mind. You just earned yourself a sub. Keep up the great work
On Split you can also throw a molly from A heaven over the glass structure people like to plant behind, if you aim it correctly it will bounce of the map border right behind the structure and then you can pop it off when you hear they're planting, usually when already in the planting animation people have slow reaction time to something like this and you can easily kill or seriously damage the planter, not to mention stopping the planting. On Bind B you can put a turret on the stacked green boxes, facing the corner of the box and right front corner of hookah. This way the turret can see B garden and just the front of hookah. Which is a sneaky way to trick enemies, because if they come into hookah and the turret can't see them yet, they'll push into the front. Once the turret sees them, you know the enemies are in a very specific spot of the hookah (normally you don't know if the enemies are in front, middle, back of it). Then you just pop off your molly placed in the front of hookah and the only spot they can quickly go to is outside of hookah, where you can pop of your second molly.
So far the best setup guide broo ❤️❤️ Ur lineups are also great easy and simple ..unlike others with lots of complexity and jump throws which are kinda inconsistent 👍👍❤️ thanks again with all ur guides
You're giving away all the kj secrets lool. One thing to add for more adv. KJ players. Be mindful of alarm bot mechanics. The alarm bot moves towards the player => Typically, I like to position swarms a little closer to where the enemy is coming from to maximize damage. Also, for split on defense: an aggressive garage push on a save round w/ bucky: 1. Place turret to peak garage entrance. 2. If turret triggers => recall asap, and reposition. 3. If turret doesn't trigger => Push up to the entrance wall and play off turret. or grab orb and fall back. If you can get into right click range, it's super nice.
This video was mad helpful, I picked up valo a month or so ago and a couple days ago unlocked killjoy and she’s so fun to play with and this will help in improving with her even more
@CoKeeoh I have an amazing torrent position for Icebox B site defence.. place it on the back site so it sees when they push trough cubby and place the alarm there... So if they enter, they'll be vulnerrable and get more damage from turrent and u can just watch mid for safety.
I only have two comp rounds as Killjoy in Ice Box...it's rough because of the nerf. But I leave my turret down facing away from spawn to catch them coming into default at A with an alarm bot and a spawn grenade. If they push in that way, it's usually going to destroy them, especially if they dont have a raze or someone who can destroy those from range. I then will watch closer to mid and can turn around quickly if A gets rushed and will catch them looking around, unaware I'm playing so nearby and in mid. But I think that mid setup is much stronger. Usually I'm playing with a duelist who'll want to watch and play aggressive on mid so I end up taking A
For Icebox I've had a lot of success placing turret next to the snowman on A site, CT side. Super far range (across the map) and makes the A long to site path brutal while giving you enough freedom to roam behind cover. Also for that mid placement you can peak thru your turret's legs and cheese shot since you can shoot through your turrets but enemies can't.
One setup I really like on icebox is where I put my alarm bot in kitchen so it catches the tube pushers. The ill put my turret in this one spot where it sees them pushing into b as well as under the tube. Its right against the wall on the 2nd floor of the tube on b plant site against the doorway where u enter that floor from kitchen. Im not very good at describing the placement but its great because i can easily throw a molly from the 2nd floor of tube that will detonate where my turret is looking. I can control all of b site and kitchen with this setup. With this i usually play kitchen and peek off my alarm bot :)
Learning to pick up killjoy due to the sentinel nerfs :( . How would you play attack/aggressive with Killjoy? With cypher it's a bit easier to lurk/solo certain sites and pull enemies away but because of the playstyle I don't think you can do the same with killjoy. Any advice?
I like that I already used some of this placement already, makes me feel smart haha. But yeah the nerf was brutal for me when I just started to get comfortable with Killjoy. Thanks for the video, one more sub, waiting for the attacker side ✌
for split on b you can put a swarm grenade behind the box by default and trigger it when they plant and it'll either kill them if they commit or force them to cancel the plant and leave them damaged
I've been adding grenades to the last alarm bot location on icebox- one besides it and one on the corner of yellow box so it forces them to go behind yellow box. It's good for aggressive kills
On split i like to use an alarm bot behind pillar on b and then set up toast oven to catch any jett or omen trying to not be peaked from heaven as well as stopping rushing enemies
For that trash icebox I like putting her turret on the gray container right in front of yellow if done on the corner it can watch that side so if it detects I’ll tend to chuck a made at that area and then hold off as best till a rotate
Dope video man. Any chance you could use a different colored crosshair when doing molly line ups? Its hard to see white on white when you’re looking at the clouds.

What do you think about that. Is it viable ? I used to do it and i managed sometimes to make 2 or 3 kills. Thx for your answer !!
the problem with putting the turret outside of garage on B split is that you can't rotate (or start to rotate) without your turret going down because of the nerf of you needed to be within 40m of the turret. It's a great spot, but it limits the areas you can be on the map
Any updates to this video for 2022 or is this the best one still? Maps have changed alot and new ones have came in but I did not see a link to any updated version for this stuff so just curious.
