Watched to see how 🤔 you all treat other water users - but it was DEAD on those lakes! In the keys, all my jetski interactions have been negative 😪 - lots of credit card captains trying 🙄 😒 to swamp us on the water.
Well if this is the first video you have watched of mine, you need to know I am a very respectful skier, I never ride in large groups, I obey all /most safety laws, and speed is not my thing...adventure is... Also I am an early riser and we specifically started this tour early before the commercial tour boats started so we have the canals to ourselves. That is a theme you will see in many of my videos. Thanks for watching and commenting! Bob PS: Newest video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-or-IDw2fVIk.html
Any of you guys near Jacksonville? I beed advise on sorting out my old ski that I purchased and I would LOVE to do some ski tours around our beautiful state!
We are not! And a mechanic i am not! ha! There ae lots of beautiful places to ski up there by you, enjoy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fzldxfVs32s.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IatLFbuyZB0g.html
It was a great experience but a very short ride, thankfully we had a backup plan to ride somewhere else afterwards. The canals are very impressive and I would go again some day.
Bingo!!!!!! I did not want to name anyone's house specifically in the video but I knew Floridians would know whose house that was! Kudos to you and thanks for watching! Bob
Check the transducer setting on your Lowrance. I've had the same issue. Every now and then they will auto select a different type of transducer, causing minor issues
nope, it was the brightness. When you accidentally hit the stand by mode its game in bright sunlight to get it out of the standby mode....which I did when I got home... hahahaha
We sold our skiis years ago before all of the electronics started to fail. Awesome canals! Those are right behind peoples homes, thats so crazy. I would love to do that trip in the future. My father in law has a sick yamaha on the lakes up in floral city.
Bear Lake in Maitland is beautiful to be on with a jetski. High quality water visibility. But it’s a private lake access so have to know someone to gain access.
Thanks for watching...not sure why you say Clermont Chain is unsuitable for jet skis. I have been to all major lake chains and made videos if you have not seen. Bob
@@NicklethyPicklehahahahaha you are right… I went through that comment too quick… yes Clermont is a terrible place to take a jet ski to…. 😂…. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z5wOvwmCoh4.html
It is probably been asked somewhere in the comments, but is it only for jet skis , can small to medium size jet boats make it through there or is it just too small?
you know some great place to ride. I dont know ion my body could do the across state trip in a day but you do great for a 40 year old 😎 I have only ridden in the intercostal and the ocean. I heard there were great places in land. we have our New Jersey trails but nothing like that. this year we move there for the winter 🙏🏻🌴
Thanks for watching and I am glad you’re enjoying watching some of my videos… appreciate you commenting you will Emory riding down here all winter soon! Bob
Thank you for watching. I put all the data about the ramp etc in the written description that allows anyone to repeat these rides. Pick one and go have some fun! Be safe! Bob
Yes plenty of experience on a few inches if you look through my other videos. Did you hear me say there was a concrete surface under the water… ? Did not feel like ruining my day that outing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kT-T9yEFDaE.html Thanks for watching and commenting....
@@BobBroeking hey no worries better safe than sorry. just made me chuckle! also liked seeing these canals, never knew about them. might have to get out to those lakes to check them out. have fun out there!
Oh wow some of those places were beautiful. Today it must be brutal to even find some insurance company willing to insure you. It must cost a fortune to insure it if you can.
Are you referring to the houses? I am slightly confused. They are protected from hurricanes to a big degree being in the middle of the state Thanks for watching and commenting!
okkkkkk Thanks for watching... Not sure exactly what you mean... I have been stuck with clearing intakes in Salt water in the Gulf (seagrass) much more than any freshwater water...
I absolutely loved the chain of lakes when I went... We stayed at lake Roy. Rented a house right on the lake and it had a boat ramp there as well. .. We took a 26 foot cabin cruiser and BARELY made it under the bridges and through the locks lol :D
Thanks for watching; that big of boat would be a tight squeeze!!!!! Its a beautiful chain; I have done a video for every major chain in Florida if you are interested! Bob
Enjoy your content. Thinking of buying a set of skis for wife and me. Now in the 55 and over crowd. We live on the lake and have boat and kayaks . Looking to see what kind of adventures you can have with a ski. Thanks.
You tell me!.... I just know I like them... thought they were Mexican petunias like I had two summers ago - love those flowers that bloom new each morning! Thanks for watching and commenting! Here s the latest video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-or-IDw2fVIk.html
@BobBroeking they are so pretty, I'm in Gainesville and I have pink, white and purples. I often see them growing wild around the creeks here too. Some call them ruelia, some call them Mexican Petunias. Home Depot has them.
You need a bigger tape measure…. ! 4000-5000 are a dime a dozen I agree! The space couples house is 40,046 square feet - $33M…. A little shy of 50,000 but close for narration in the fly! Ha… Thanks for watching!
Bob.. I am new to Florida and just bought a 2021 FX HO cruiser. I would like to become a member of your jet ski group and do some touring and trips with you guys. How do I get in touch with you??
John: Welcome to Florida and congrats on buying a 21 FX...it is a great machine. Some of the best ways to meet other riders is to join some of the Florida centric jet ski groups on Facebook. There you will meet other riders and have a chance to do trips around Florida with the different groups. Then, f you like smaller groups, you find some riders you like on those groups and plan private rides. I do not do group rides and the best way I can assist you is by putting out videos of places I go. Each video has the ramp information and a map of the route so you can repeat any of my trips and learn from my mistakes... :-) A lot of that information is in the video written description on YT. If you are not an experienced skier, start slow and build your experience base in different types of water and situations. Thanks for watching and reaching out. Bob
Log Flume - not Plume 😂😂 - but other than that, great video as always. I’m not that much of a lake guy, but occasionally - sure. Rivers, Gulf, Atlantic, for sure though
@@BobBroeking Ok, me and a couple buddies in high school. Parents dropped us off. We had 1 cell phone and were supposed to call them to come pick us up when we were done camping. My friend who was in charge of food only brought drinks, a costco size bag of Chex Mix and a few apples. That lasted us about one night. Btw, the cell phone reception was terrible and the battery on the Nokia died after a day. (someone wasted the battery on that snake game. promise not me.) By day two we were all really thirsty. I found a beer bottle, made a fire (had a lighter), and boiled the lake water for drinking. Well, I guess I didn't boil it enough, because we all got pretty sick after that. The nights were cold in the tents and there were pretty big rats that would walk through our camp site. I can't remember why we didn't swim to shore. It seemed kind of far and maybe had gators on our mind. I think it was mostly the embarrassment of accepting defeat. It wasn't life threatening. In the end we were just hungry, thirsty, cold and tired. Parents arrived day 4 after not hearing from us and thinking we were having a wonderful time.
@@tizzlekizzle OMG what a story.!!!!!! I have never going back to rat island….. I mean dog island…wow that takes the prize as the best follow on story on this channel ever! Bob
Love this comment. I share the reasons I bought this machine in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5MMh0zLP__M.html and with 300 hours and 4 years of trouble free riding it seems like a great choice for me. I also wanted a ski that would not sink. If I can find a channel with old people riding skis I will ask this question and see what they say! Thanks for watching and commenting. It is probably my favorite comment of all time. :-) Bob
@@BobBroekingthanks for making this video. It prompted me to trailer my skis from Ft. Lauderdale to my mom’s house near UCF. Took my 3 kids here Saturday morning and they loved it! We had a great time! Will definitely be coming back. Used your technique rocking the skis side to side to shake loose the grass in the impellers too. Make sure you have your registration, whistles and fire extinguisher while out there riding. The Winter Park Marine Patrol are out there checking. Dog Island was really cool !!! Thanks again Bob!
@@Scott45fl12345 Great!!!!! That is exactly the main reason why I make these videos ...so other folks can repeat this adventure and explore an have fun. So happy your family had a nice experience on this chain of lakes! Bob
The orange one? It is a rash guard/fishing short made by Loco Skaile. Picked it up in a local Florida clothing store a few years ago. thanks for watching!
hahahahaha... you talking about how far Eric lives from the lake in Orlando? We were all laughing at this news, because we all got up at o dark 30 for a 2 hour drive and he wanted to meet at 1000 so he could sleep in... we said we were launching at 8:00am before the boat traffic started! Eric made the day and credit him as solely responsible for the 60K views this video has gotten so far! :-) Thanks for watching and commenting! Bob
He has a nice house but what I remembered most is the nice lawns and sculptured shrubs leading down to the lake! :-) Thanks for watching and for the comment! Bob
I am sure they are there but this is a very sedate lake alligator wise than places we normally go..l as I told another subscriber I would swim in these lakes all day long… thanks for watching. Bob
No way.. I'm not even putting my toes in that lake. LOL. But I understand, it's what your are familiar and comfortable with. I'm out in the Gulf all the time and I know we seen sharks. I love your videos and really dig how much time spend out on the water.
Thank you for watching and commenting although you are exactly 211 days too late with that comment if you read above.... it is called "Bob Speak"... :-) hahahhaha
@@BobBroeking yeah from what I've learned over my travels they have the fear of human ingrained in them from their over hunted days even a big 40 year old gator was kinda scared of us and his head was as big as me
Every body of water in Florida has alligators… I have never bothered them and they have never bothered me. I would swim in these lakes all day long… they are about as sedate as they come alligator wise… compared to the other 95% of my rides … ha. Thanks for watching and commenting… I appreciate it. Bob
