also the loudest ever, seriously you can hear this shit even with headphones on and its only good at 3/4 or full blast Also with modern day laptops that already have a good cooler design it only drops temps by like maybe 10c, part of that is that the way cpu and gpu boost works now.The more thermal headroom they have the higher they will clock, the only way to really make them run cooler is limit the power they use with intel extreme power tuning software or throttle stop, undervolting doesn't do much for the newer chips because of the reasons i said. Im sending mine back because i just cant take the noise its so annoying, especailly when you take your headphones off and realize what you put other people through that you live with, even if i was single and lived alone i wouldn't keep it...at almost 80db thats only 15db off from a lawn mower
@@Amp_Edition you should first change thermal paste something PTM7950, then use this one as needed. You wont have to go full-blast then. meanwhile I use AI which needs CPU to go hard. That's when I turn it up.
Great Perfromance but man the noise 😓. If only company with great performing fans but quite like noctua & be quite Made a Coolingpad it would be great.
Its physically impossible to have airflow in a laptop without the noise. A fan for a case is usually oriented towards high air flow, whereas here you need a high static pressure fan. If you put something in front of those fans like a filter or a radiator, they will be very ineffective, that is why the other cooling pads with fans that aren't made for high static pressure don't perform as well as the gt500 or gt600.
I just got my gt 600 and damn that noise is insane yeah. But I also had a Coorel pad, and the GT 600 ran 8 degrees cooler on a 1000rpm fanspeed then the Coorel @ max speed. @ a 1000rpm. The noiselevels were close. So it runs slot cooler then a standard cooling pad imo. I ran the Cyberpunk benchmark on a msi stealth 16 ai (4090 and an ultra 9)of 4k raytracing overdrive(with pathtracing) with dlss on auto.
A thought on this, I just purchased a GT 600 that I'm using now. As far as the filters are concerned, the finer filter precedes the coarser one in the airflow, as delivered. This doesn't make too much sense to me, as anything that passes the first filter, is likely to pass the 2nd. I just swapped them around. The alternative configuration makes more sense. If there is a reasonable explanation for fine > coarse, let me know!
I want the best one, so, this model or the Llano? also, these actually just push air, right? there is not an AC build in that push actually cold air, right?
just by making the closed designee and adding the foam the entire scene of laptops coolers just changed and anything else without this designee is worthless simply cant compete without the seal and the dust filter is cherry on the top
His channel has a few months old video testing the Llano against the GT500 and a bunch of other cooling pads. The Llano won in the tests using an old Asus and a mid-range Victus. The GT500 won in the tests using a high-end Asus Strix laptop.
Awesome cooler, the help to cooldown my laptop is just a plus for me as the main reason for getting this design is to minimize the dust going in. Good investment overall to give my laptop a bit more lifespan.
Bro .. there is also a GT600 V2 .. If figured I found the perfect one with that one, but just saw a review of a guy comparing the regular 600 to the llano or whatever and the llano performed better. GT600 caught up if you elevated it for some reason (maybe it was more efficient in sucking in air when elevated). I also saw others complain that the llano was much louder and less effective. So I can't pick lol
I just purchased the Alienware X16 R2 which is suppose to have pretty good cooling from the factory or at least i hope! Which would you recommend i buy for that laptop? Great videos by the way, I'll be viewing a few of them today!
I bought it and it arrived on September 10th, but then on the 9th I had a quick power outage while it was plugged on but not in use. The day after, the fan wouldn't turn. Let me tell you how disappointed I am that my cooler only lasted one week...
Yo, was loading into game today, when my display cut out. My pc was still on, but the monitor wasn't showing anything as if PC went to sleep mode. I restarted it and when starting up it made 5 beeps (CPU problem in my case) and just didn't show display on my monitor. I disassembled the pc, took off the cooling and took out the CPU to see if it had any burns on it, it was completely fine but the only thing I noticed the 2 pins on the motherboard slot were slightly bent. I thought it was fine, put the CPU back in and installed the cooling. Trying to boot up pc it doesn't even beep anymore, only fans are spinning and RGB working, even powerbutton isn't glowing tho.
@@arctic_void thank you man, Ive actually tried everything but the ram, it all looks to be in perfect condition, gonna try moving the ram around once I'm back from work
I've heard that the klim everest runs much quieter than the gt500v2, gt600 and llano - could you decibel match all them 4 coolers to the level of the quietest one to see which one is the best at the same decibel level?
Great video thank you for sharing this video. I have question about “Allow Chill” cooling pad that is direct compatible for both GT 600 and Llano. If you can compare all 3 cooling pads, it will be so much appreciated 🙏
Very much appreciate the amount of work you put in on this video and all the testing. Q on the AIDA 64 bar graph for the GT600V2 at 50% speed at 8:02 minutes. The avg temp cannot exceed the max temp. Suspect that the 84 is a typo and should say 74. What do you think?
Its on Amazon and in the video Gt600 reaches 1600 rpm and doesn't have USB extra ports nor RGB Gt600 V1 Hub reaches 2800 rpm, has USB ports, no RGB Gt600 V2 Hub the same as V1 but with RGB
How much noise would you say the llano makes? I was hopping to add a cooler that overall lowers my noise level (office environment) but still gives a few degress of cooling.
@@mattscomputerservices perfect! Thank you for the fast reply i’ve ordered both the laptop and the iets gt 600v1 and they’re both arriving on the same day hah!😊can’t wait.
The only issue inhave with the iets gt500 us8ng my 17.3 inch rog strix is that even with all the other rings of foam removed it seems like the opening is still a bit too small as the foam does cut off the edges of the intake vents.
@@djsky2k8 at 1200rpm of llano, you can use GT600 at 1700rpm and GT600 will do the better job for sure! I just would say GT600 is cooler at the same noise level.
I doubt that your router needs anything this powerful, likely a really basic cooler would do, this one wouldn't hurt but its likely overkill even if the router is overheating.
