I agree with you. I tried Bellroy and Nomad leather cases and the quality is not as expected. I have Blackbrook and Andar. Very much satisfied with these two.
17:40 OMg.. that’s the ugliest leather case I have seen, not to mention those cut out on the side and open bottom of phone, I am not feelin’ it. Andar is still the best full grain leather case.
Andar just came out with a turquoise case that I am now waiting for, then the red came back in stock so I just ordered that one as well. I tried the Mujjo but returned it due to weak magnets. Your review gives me hope that the Andar has a strong hold, which is good since I am now getting two of them.
Ooo, I gotta check out that turquoise. And red is always my jam. For me, the Andar magnets are every bit as strong as the ones in the Apple cases. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Keep in mind some are annoyed by magnets that are “too” strong, so they try to strike the perfect balance.
I stopped using leather cases and switched to aramid fiber like Benks and Pitaka but man I’m going back to my leather cases. Just something about them.
There’s a lifetime warranty with the Lumazi and it’s apparently unlimited. Nomad and Mous have that weird, ugly rubber surrounding. The leather isn’t wrapped all the way around. Part of the reason why it’s cheaper.
Those anyone brought arabian oryx leather case on amazon hire? it says full grain leather i am just curious if its that case is good quility or not. planing to buy that if the quality is premium.🤔
Just ordered the turquoise andar case for my 15 pm. Can't wait been rocking super slim cases or the caudabe sheath. The caudabe is a superb case but wanted a leather one also.
Got a red « Njord » case, which is made from salmon leather. The case looks and feels great but might not be for everyone as it is very different to a typical leather case.
"Andar" in Spanish and Portuguese means "to walk," not "to carry." Not sure why they got that wrong. In any case, I have that same Andar case and it's worth noting that the black bumper around the camera lenses starts to chip. I reached out to the company about it and they sent me a replacement. The replacement also started to chip after a couple months. Otherwise, it's a nice case, but I'm a perfectionist and have a hard time getting over the chipping issue.
Before even finishing the video I ordered a Bullstrap. Great reviews. On your video it doesn’t seem to fit the camera bump which worries me. I ordered the pink color
Hi! Is the camera on the BlackBrook open case protected so that the camera ring is over the camera lens? Because I actually like that this genuine leather case is a bit uneven around the camera and not so level across the whole case, it gives character to this BlackBrook case. Thank you for the video!
Hi, thank you for watching! I agree about the Blackbrook case having character. They’re quite popular. Feels like no two Blackbrook cases are quite the same. Yes, the ring around the camera cutout is raised over the phone’s camera and offers protection. Even though it is uneven, it is quite stiff. I’d say it offers comparable protection around the camera to most other leather cases.
I know it’s annoying, but both product lines are really popular. And a lot of people are just receiving their iPhones, so the leather cases are going fast. Bullstrap had a major sale recently, that’s why those are gone. But from experience, if you pre-order, you often get the product from both Bullstrap and Anadar faster than expected.
Bellroy has added the action button to its case now... Thinking of getting the Andar, how does it feel in the hand? Is it as sleek as the old Apple leather cases? I know the Nomad cases are a little bulkier in the hand.
I would say the Andar case feels equally sleek to the old Apple leather cases, especially the first few years of that case. I feel like the last couple iterations of Apple's leather cases did not include leather as high-quality as older models, or as high quality as Andar and Bullstrap have currently.
Thank you for watching! There is a slight texture to the Andar case, but it has average slipperiness for a leather case. Not more and not less. Certainly not as grippy as a silicone case. I think it’s a great balance of looks, protection, and just enough grip.
I’ve loved my experience with it. My only problem is, just like the Apple FineWoven case, the cutout for the USB-C port will not accommodate every single USB-C cord. It will take most of them, but not all. For example, some of the Samsung USB-C wires will not fit through that port. For some reason, the USB-C cut out on the Apple Silicon cases is bigger than on the FineWoven cases. So I think some case manufacturers followed the measurements of the FineWoven case. Otherwise, the Mujjo is a very nice option.
Andar hands down it was amazing on the 13 pro max, the smell the feel. I will say they all feel a bit slick but after a good week of usage it’s grippy, but andar hands down
I have to agree with @gtiguy1992able, it's Andar if you're talking feel of leather and probably even durability. The Mujjo is really nice, but the leather doesn't feel quite as premium. Would love if Andar made a burgundy like Mujjo.
I got the Andar Aspen in brown. Still in pre-order, waiting for it to ship out at the end of the month. I forgot to apply a promo code and emailed them after and they honored the 15% refund. Really appreciated that. Can’t wait to use their case!
Nice video, i appreciate you showing different colors of leather on light and dark colored iphones. Wish Mujjo kept that burgundy. I do think Bullstraps lifetime warranty adds a lot of value and helps to justify the price, its a big factor for me while deciding on which brand to go for.
Good point about the Bullstrap. Their cases also age extremely well. It's so weird that Mujjo discontinued the burgundy. Unless it's just sold out. The other possibility is that they decided to strengthen the magnets somewhat are slowly reintroducing each color option. Thank you for watching!
Good to hear about Bullstrap. I’ve just ordered one yesterday with their BF sale. Dune for Nat Ti. I’d like to say your vid helped me with that decision :)
