A good trick to do and use all of the lemon is to instead of using the zest, cut the peels (after removing all the pith the best you can) into strips, and boil them in the sugar water until they become translucent. Remove the peels and let them dry after covering them in sugar. That way you have the lemon syrup for lemonade and the candied peels for a nice little treat
Peel all your lemons (discarding the white pith), add it to sugar, and let is set for hours. It's called "oleo saccharum" and it's amazing. Then mix it with water to dissolve everything, strain out the peels, and use in your lemonade. It's. INCREDIBLE.
@@Nayibe_Maldonadofor two quarts, about 3/4 cup sugar. Idk how many lemons, but I use a lock n lock pitcher and it's about two centimeters of lemon juice.
Recipe 5 lemons cut em up and get out all the juice Into a saucepan, put 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of water A ‘touch’ of lemon zest (Nearly enough to cover the whole grater.) Heat it until the sugar dissolves, Once It’s cold, out your sugar water and lemon juice into a pitcher, fill it with ice, and you’re set!
I went to a county fair this summer, and there was this lemonade stand that would pour straight sugar into the cup, then the lemonade, and then some lemon pieces. The ratio of sweet to bitter was perfect. One of the best things I’ve ever tasted-
Try adding Maple Syrup or Mint leaves, the mint leaves give a nice refreshing flavour while the Maple Syrup makes the flavor more complex and sweet. A pinch of salt also makes it delicious. I used to make lemonade like this when I was a kid too!
@@Ripa-Moramee trust me, idk abt you, but that maple syrup adds that rich, sweet and caramel like flavor, it is kinda hard to describe it but very nice, alternatively you could you honey!
@@emperordestorah3497 Yes but it's lemonade. I like lemonade sweet but also bitter, and that's it. It's simplicity is what makes it such an enjoyable drink to me.
EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE THIS LISTEN HERE!!!! instead of adding 3 cups of water, save the syrup/lemon/ice mixture in the pitcher and pour a small amount into a glass. then fill the rest of the glass with soda water or any fizzer water. YOU'LL THANK ME LATER!!!
I like adding green tea, sometimes black tea, a little other juice, less sugar, some stevia or monk fruit. I like the lemon rind--steep that with the tea maybe. I love lemons.
made this a few days ago. was able to make 50 dollars off of it, all people wanted was the lemonade. tasted amazing, and pretty simple. trust me, you should make this. thanks nick
