We rented two bedroom unit at Kokotel for a month during our last visit. On Nut is a fun place to be. We love the 7-Eleven store there. I think it’s the biggest 7-Eleven store in BKK. It’s very convenient to stay there.
I wish I checked your videos first before I decided to moving into a condo that I just found few days ago which is right next to your previous condo which that you mentioned "my condo". I've never thought that I can find a rental condo under 15000 bhat! I can't believe that you're only paying 9000 bhat for the rent!! Well, anyway thanks for making this effort to make this kind of videos to help people like me 😊
@@yinginthailand yes, I think that's true there are many options out there. Ultimately I'm pretty happy with what I found for myself without going through agents. I am finally moving in today to my new place after waiting 4 days in the hotel room. Is there anything to be aware of before I hand over the money to the unit owner? I do appreciate it if you could give me some advice..
I think you need to take photos of everything or defect in the room so that when you move out if they say you break sth you can show them the evidence 🙂 Hope that helps 🫶
Thank you Ying for a nice video. As a truly worthy representant of The Land of Smile, you convey the feeling of being there. Look forward to my coming relocation to Bangkok and may need your guidance then. Have a wonderful day!
Hi Ying… nice tour. I’m just down Sukhumvit toward Bang Chak but I walk to On Nut all the time for the Lotus, Tops, many restaurants (I really like the new Sushiro!), movie theater, and the general positive feel of the neighborhood. It’s amazing the vendors put up and take down all their shops in front of the mall everyday! I like it so much I renewed my condo lease for another year.
I went to On Nut this morning and bought a cappuccino from Sukhumvit Coffee just in front of Lotus, the coffee was so good! It's better than most of the coffee I've had in BKK and much cheaper. I also got some really good quality fruits from soi 77.
So happy you’re posting often Ying! I can see so much of Bangkok through your eyes. It’s great to learn about Thailand even though I probably will never get to go there. You’re a good presenter and always so upbeat and charming. Thanks for sharing. Please keep up the good work ❤❤
Sawadee krap. This falang kee nok very much appreciates Ying's informative videos. However, if Thailand interests you, there are many other less expensive cities and areas that are very nice. Although Bangkok is my favorite city (the restaurant scene is superb), it is the most expensive city to live in. Anyway, Thailand is a gem. Koh hee chokh dee.
Hello Ying, thanks so much for creating this very informative video on the On Nut area. I will be retiring soon in Bangkok and I am interested in this area. Your video gives me a good idea as to what it offers. Cheers!!
Great video Ying, very informative and interesting. I used to live in On Nut over 10 years ago and there was a beer garden and an old style market where the mall is now. I will be moving there next month to live in On Nut again, it’s amazing how it has changed so much! PS Are you sure you know how to cook 😂❤
Very nice vlog. Thank you for the walking tour & showing us more of the On Nut neighborhood. I hope that you - and your sister - will explore other livable neigborhoods in & around Bangkok and share more vlogs with us. :)
Yeah, I used to stay at that hotel right next to big c and I going back home next couple of weeks I will stay at that hotel because close to a BTS I can travel anywhere I want to I love it😁😁🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇹🇭🇹🇭
On Nut is wonderful suggestion and this video suppose to have more likes.Thank you for such delightful video,i do needed some suggestions so here is my answer this video.🎉
Thank you Ying! That was a very informative video about the On Nut area. I will be in Bangkok in October and renting a condo in Nonthaburi for one month. I am looking forward to your next video!
Great job, Ying! I used to live at the Waterford Sukhumvit 50 and it was nice to re-live some of that area. By the way, The Waterford is like the only condo in that area that I could find that was pet friendly. Just thought I'd point that out. Keep up the great work!
6 weeks in on nut/bangkok was enough for me. Yes there are convenient things about the place but the constant noise of revving motorcycles and overcrowded places, bumpy pavements (health hazard) put me off BKK for life. PROS - suhumvit 77, food garden/beer gardne (next door) and the Elephant and Castle pub near the top of the road, however taht road is truly horrible, narrow with motorcycles and cars in your face. I also stayed in Condo 52 and my favourite place to chill out was the cross vibe hotel, lovely staff and BOGOF until 8pm overall a very congested area and didn't find many nicer open places to get away from people motorcycles/traffic.
@@yinginthailand So appreciates your kind reply ❤. For now, made up my mind to only visit Bangkok for a max period of 15 days and maybe in near future do Phuket on its own. Adelphi Studio or Somerset Studio as one out of these two be my choice.
I like On Nut but its defo becoming a lot more busy and thats one of the things that puts me off a bit. My last place was in Phrom Phong and I actually thought it was quieter there for walking around and getting food etc especially if you were to head towards Thong Lor. Most of the coffee shops and places to eat were quiet. When ever I went to On Nut it was always packed. There is everything you need there though and a lot of shops and western food. I came back to the UK at the start of this year but I would consider On Nut if I was to go back to BKK long term. as its defo cheaper and the BTS only takes about 20-25min to Nana/Chit Lom.
Sawadee Krap Ying. Can’t believe I found this video. I have just taken on a short term rental for 3-months in your condominium complex 😂 not there until December. See you around 🙏
Thanks for sharing the walk from ON Nut BTS along Sukhumvit 50. Is there any cool nightlife (rooftop bars/clubs) in walking distance to On Nut BTS? Also, in one of your earlier videos, you mentioned being a Project Manager in the technology industry. How much baht per month does a Project Manager in Bangkok typically earn? Can't wait for the next video. Keep up the great content!
Thank you so much for your comment 🫶☺️ There are small bars like Cheap Charlie on Sukhumvit 50 next to Rhythm Condo. But there’s no rooftop around there. However, many nice rooftops are nearby like at Phrakhanong, Thonglor which takes like 10-15 mins by BTS 😊 As a project manager here, the income really depends on the experience and also the company. From my survey, more experience can earn like 60k-100k +++ international company will earn more especially foreigner who works here will definitely earn more than Thai. Hope that answers your question 🙌 Stay tuned for the coming videos 😇
all so nice but... how does it look like with jobs? sofar I found only the 2 opposites: either ultra high qualified positions or nightshifts at call center
Hello ying, I watched ur videos and find it very informative.. do you know someone who have On Nut unit for short term like 4 nights to stay.. thank you
I went out to Onnut last time in Bangkok to go to the Best Beef all you can eat BBQ . Greatest bargain in Bangkok 499 baht for all you can eat beef and free flow beer . The area looked like a nice up and coming neighbourhood .
Thanks for showing us around. Is On Nut the place where the restaurant/club named Cheap Charlies is located? I have heard it is quite unique. Have you been there?
Hello, thank you for your video and all the explanations for finding a condominium around your apartment. I would like to invite you and your sister to my place in Paris to get to know each other.
I am living in Isan but travel to Bangkok frequently. I have stereo and music equipment fairly high end, and I like music, but I am very considerate of noise for other people. I have those things in storage in Bangkok at the moment it's been a long time. I would like to get a place set them up and get into my hobby and passion once again. Any suggestions would be helpful thank you.
@@yinginthailand yes I would like a condo that is soundproof ha ha as much as possible I guess. At least 50 m². I've seen some condos Long Suang ares Sindhorn Etc. and they are expensive. 60,000 + Baht per Month. I know that area well and like it.Lumpini Park. I know it is expensive there. Maybe a house would be better to rent. What would you do? Thank You
I have been in Bangkok only one time for five days and I stay in On Nut area. I love this area but now I can`t find good Airbnb apartment for three months in On Nut . Any suggestions where I can look for few months stay except Airbnb?
Thank you so much for watching 🫶 For your inquiry, I think it’s possible to find short term rental in Facebook group. Im not sure if you have tried that already ? Hope that helps 😇
On nut is just a bed town where you can not find any open restaurant after 10PM so if you are a regular hours worker it may be good, but if you need to eat after 10PM it is the place to aovid. only good thing is the access to sukhumvit area. Therefore, don't get misguided by On nut lovers. For your convenient life other areas have much more options such as Hway kwang, ari, etc. In addition, the condo price near On nut BTS station is around 15000 baht/M which you can find a good condo any place in BKK with more restaurants, mart, etc..
It really depends on your purpose. If you want more local place and local people around, I think On Nut is better. If you’re looking for something more like night life and more of like tourist place, I think Asoke would be the answer.
