It's new bike day for Neil Donoghue and he hasn't held back! The bike he's chosen is the Canyon Torque:ON CF Roczen - their latest limited edition collaboration with MX and SX legend Ken Roczen! This Moto-inspired freeride eMTB is a weapon when it comes to gravity-focussed riding. With the addition of a 900Wh battery and the Shimano EP801 motor, it's as fast on the climbs as it is on the downhill. Neil shares the changes he's made to his bike to optimise his ride!

My Pole Voima has 200mm fox 40 and 190mm rear travel fox coil shock also has a cat 5 rating but no mullet set up, I prefer the higher BB, it’s more of a super enduro rather than a DH rig! Wicked paint job on that Canyon though👌🏻

I concur. My Voima also has a 40 up front, but with an X2 out back and it’s full 27.5, with the race motor and axles. I also have a 500w battery for shorter rides or bike park days and the 750w for longer rides. Best ebike made in my eyes!🤘🏻😎

SRAM axs on a shimano motor! Missing out on all that new tech,, also how have you secured that pro guard front mudguard to your ZEB, the holes on mine didn’t line up.. oh and nice colour and change that spring to black and it’ll be sorted👌

Gorgeous bike and what a setup you have! Quick question as I have been eyeing this up since its launch. I am 5ft10 which sees me sized Medium, acording to the Canyon website. Now I know there is no real true answer with this but what height are you @Neil and have your ridden both Medium / Large as I'm at a lose what size to go for?

3:40 The 29" front tire weighs more than the 27.5" rear? 2.5 vs 2.6 didn't seem like it would cause that. Great bike, very glad for you.

Great looking bike 😍 although I can't speak much for the motor and battery 🔋 system as one of the boys has this 900 Shimano battery and he very rarely gets more elevation than a 750 Bosch battery system🔋🤔🤔 both blokes are similar weight and age both fairly fit also ...... But Bosch has always been known for it's great battery life etc.....

I find out that on these long bikes, slack, low gravity center, long wb, you can use a slightly narrower handlebar and have no downside due to it; on shorter bikes, the wider handlebars helped you slow the imputs a little as the bikes were twitchy enough not to require additional spiky inputs. A narrower handlebar on these heavy, long and slack bikes actually improve the dynamics..., at least in my opinion and experience.

I have one and I wish it didnt have the slow Shimano motor, with a wide cadence high torque motor like a Brose or Bosch in it and it would be much better. It is slow uphill, so I run a Speedbox, so 30mph downgrades are a blast, here in the USA. I also put the higher bars and a velo e1 saddle, the best sitdown saddle ever made. I run my shock a bit high on pressure to keep the pedal strikes down. If this thing had a higher bottom bracket it would be a lot better technical climber. Nothing in the ebike world goes downhill or jumps better than the Torque On, it just so stable, and with the Tannus tube inserts, at around 18-19 psi, it rides unbelievable smooth. Rocks feel as if they are made of foam.

Hi Neal, unfortunately I'm clueless whether to go for Strive on or Torque on. It should be some kind of a go for all rig, Enduro as well as Jumps and DH. What would your advice be? Thanks.

From our understanding the Torque:ON is aimed at 'Park' riding and Freeride, so would be good at everything you'll find at a bike park with the ability to be your own uplift. Whereas the Strive:ON is built for racing, this will be great at riding everything you see on the E-EDR. The best people to contact would be Canyon customer services and explain what riding you do and ask for their recommendation 🤘 Please let us know what you choose!

The Strive has always been Canyons enduro race bike, whereas the Torque is more for bike parks and Freeride! So the same applies to the ON equivalents 🤙

That’s not the one. The Shimano motor sucks. If you want a real long travel beast then get a 190/190 Pole Voima or a 200/200 Pole Sonni with the optional Bosch race motor.

The bike is sick, only dealbreaker for me is that waterbottle. Its ugly and if you remove you have a big hole in the frame. Terrible design choice to not allow a removable option.
