I can't take a look at it yet, because I have an Android phone, but I would still like to share some ideas. Idk if they're all realistic though: INFORMATION: • a LD news feed • debunking myths and misinformation e.g. sleep paralysis, mantras, etc. • Types of LDs explained ("WILD" & "DILD") • a list of techniques and their pros and cons • Reality Checks and their pros and cons • different types of lucid dreamers (sloth & hummingbird) explained • mindsets that help with lucid dreaming • benefits of lucid dreaming • tips for healthy sleep • an introduction to sleep scientists • book / movie recommendations (about LD, whether fictional or not) RELAXATION: • relaxing music / ambiances SLEEP AND DREAM JOURNALING: • an option to enter more than just one dream in one entry, so basically 1 day = 1 entry with multiple dreams in it, not 1 dream = 1 entry (for those who can remember more than one dream a day) • an option to categorize your dreams with #, but also symbols, e.g. ♥︎ for favourite dreams, ★ for lucid dreams and ■ for nightmares or something like that • option to enter a headline for each dream (not just for each entry) • option to rank your dreams (I know you don't like the idea of ranking dreams, but I personally like to rank my lucidity from ○○○○○ to ●●●●● and how much I enjoyed a dream from ☆☆☆☆☆ to ★★★★★) • a different section just to keep track of your lucid dreaming "items" (tools that you use in a lucid dream to help you control the dream e.g. a wand, a portal sticker and whatever your creative mind can come up with) • a different section just to keep track of interesting, recurring dream characters where you can create an entry for each character + the option to add (and generate) pictures • a different section just to keep track of interesting, recurring places + the option to add (and generate) pictures • a section to keep track of your dream signs • an option to connect your smartwatch so it can save your sleeping times automatically (pls not just the Apple Watch) REALITY CHECKS: • reminder for beginners • if a smartwatch is connected it could send you weird, cryptic messages, forcing you to perform a Reality Check, THAT WOULD BE SO COOL because my watch often does that in my dreams AI: • suggests fitting headlines after you've written your dream(s) • an option for the AI to interpret your dreams (for funsies) • text to image generation for dream journaling • scribble to image generation • bullet points to full-text generation (pls that would be so helpful omg) • speech to text • an option to bring your dream characters to life by creating chatbots • a chatbot who you can ask everything about lucid dreaming ONLINE: • an option to connect with others by following and sharing some posts • You can edit your online profile and post what type of lucid dreamer you are (sloth or hummingbird, what your favourite technique is, and since when you've been a lucid dreamer) • post with topics to discuss SECURITY: • an option to lock the app • you can edit your profile to be visible to no one, just friends or everyone • option to block and report other users CUSTOMIZATION (!): • the option to customize the app interface (dark theme, light theme, different background colors different text colors, fonts and sizes, etc.) • the option to customize your dream entries individually • the option to customize your dream entries by highlighting, text size, text colour, font, adding (multiple) pictures, sketches, voice recordings, changing the background colour, etc. DATA: • option to save (and restore) your data in a cloud
A lucid dreaming app had never entered my consciousness before (that I'm aware of) BUT 2 nights ago, I had a dream about using one! I woke up thinking "an app!?" Definitely going to download it. Thank you.
Yes, very excited about this. This channel is a hidden gem that offers so many tools and not only is this app gonna expand the lucid dreaming community, I also see it as an opportunity for "The Lucid Guide" to expand. Can't wait to see more!
We hear you! Currently, the YoruX Lite version is available for Android with improvements in progress. We're working hard on a full, enhanced version. Stay tuned for updates!
It's very much a work in progress but with a lot of potential. As it currently stands, I've got a lot of work cut out! - but I'm hoping the community can help create something that represents lucid dreaming as it should be!
I will download It! I was thinking about a tecniek and I don't know if it already exists I will do a blind experiment for 48 hours. to experience how it is to be blind but it got me thinking what if I say to my self during that 48 hours : the next time I see anything I must be dreaming then surely if I implement it correctly I will become lucid. beside from the eye opening Experience I get from experiencing how is to be blind. but Maybe that can be a technique to cover Your Eyes before you go to bed and When You Wake Up and you see Something ask yourself I'm I dreaming And then There is a very High Chance that You actually are Dreaming Because you covered Your Eyes Before going to bed I thought I just share this idea with the community. keep it up I follow you on mutible channels a couple of years now and your videos keep amazing me!❤
There's acc a good chance this strategy could work- I once went on a vacation and I told myself that the next time I saw anyone from home, it must be a dream, because I'm away from home. It worked, in my dream I remembered that. (Although I didn't technically get lucid but that's Bcs of an ignorance to how reality checks worked.)
Suggestion: In the dream journal section the icon for nightmares is 🌨️, but the icon for lucid dreams is “LD”. Change that to 👁️, 🧠, or another cute little icon, please. And what about some other categories like “recurring” (🔄) for example?
This is really exciting! Downloading it right away. Personally I’ve only had one lucid dream, after which I lost motivation/developed a block about doing my reality checks and journaling (thanks ADHD!) I’m hoping this will help give me a new push!
Looking forward for the android version! So glad that they have you on board, Daniel. A no bs lucid app is very much needed. My two cents would be on the dream goals side of things. It would be great if it isn't just a "checklist". Maybe a tracker in a calendar? How many times have you tried / achieved your current dream goal. It would also be awesome if you could create milestones for your dream goals and track those like achievements until you get to the big destination.
I don't know how the recommendations for dreams journaled and discussion posts are chosen, but as the site gets more and more users (which I'm sure it will!), there'll probably need to be some sort of follow/friend sort of feature so that we can look through posts from people we've met on the app and people we enjoy the style of writing from, and we don't miss out on their posts, but that's not a priority at this point, just something to think about once everyone is posting on the site. Congrats for this Mr. Love, this is a great app with great UI and I'm excited to use it!
Absolutely will do - I'm an Android user myself, but picked up an apple phone in order to help with the project. The CEO seems very keen to use the company as a springboard for scientific research - which is the most exciting part of all of this. For now, there's a bunch of work for me to update the existing app!
Thanks for your patience, Android users! We've got YoruX Lite available, with a few kinks we're ironing out! A sleeker, full version is coming soon, stay tuned!

I am very excited about this app. I've never really thought about getting a lucid dreaming app, but definitely i will now. Looking forward to see great advances on this app. I really hope it becomes something even more greater and important than a single idea 😊
Unfortunately I can't leave a regular comment as usual due to the nature of the video, however, I'll definitely have to revisit this video. I currently have no apple devices (I have an Android device) so I cannot download the app to even view what it has to store, but it sounds promising as a whole. I've never downloaded any sleep apps (besides one, which "gameified" sleep and I grew disinterested in it pretty quickly) due to your warnings and just general wariness, but once it becomes available, I'll definitely download it and give it a try before giving any feedback! One worry that stood out to me was data collection, mainly on the dream journaling part. I find dream journaling easier on digital so I could see myself using this feature, but in previous live streams and videos, you cited security reasons for why digital dream journaling may not be the best. Is there safety features built into the app to help prevent data leaks from this aspect of the app? Just a genuine question as I know you wouldn't promote a product without making sure that its good! I hope the app has a great future and with you on board, I'm sure it will!
There is an android version but it's bare-bones - but they are working on a full version once everything about the current app is in place. Basically, my plan is to nag them a LOT to make sure everything is right :) Hopefully the CEO or someone will answer your question regarding data protection - it is always a concern, I will suggest to them that they make things clear.
As an android user myself, I'd agree. But they're working on one. The most important thing is that it's a company that actually wants to get things right, and to invest in science, which NEVER happens.
This is so cool! I wish you all a lot of luck 🍀 An idea that came to my mind would be that you give more advanced lucid dreamers (definitely not me at the moment 😅) the possibility to engage in scientific experiments (maybe give ideas for possible experiments that they can perform themselves or collect data/information used for a study or maybe do some research). I think it could be very helpful for the advancement in the field of lucid dreaming. There‘d just need to be some „rules“ such as always giving the used sources so the professionals can be sure it’s well-reasearched.
There's a fair bit that needs updating from their original plan, but I've only been able to work on the tutorials so far, but the plan is to revamp everything to be the most effective possible. This is why it will be helpful to have feedback from the community as the more eyes on it the better :)
I would like to see an app that wakes me up as I enter REM sleep. My Apple watch tracks the different states of sleep and I have found it to be pretty accurate. If the app could wake me up when I enter REM sleep I could to the wake back to bed method which seems to work best for me. Right now I am guessing and setting an alarm to a time which isn't always correct but better than nothing. I will download the app - thanks!
Something very strange happened to me yesterday. I normally get very angry when I'm woken up by noises other people make. But yesterday, I was having a very vivid, and wonderful dream. I was woken up by music. The song was A Perfect circle - Pet. The lyrics I woke up to were "Step away from the window, go back to sleep, lay your head down child, I won't let the boogeyman come." in that soothing Maynard voice. I went back to sleep, and had a wonderful lucid dream. Edit: lyrics.
A feature to export a backup file of past dream entries and configurations and import it to restore them in a new phone or fresh app install would be great.
maaan i had a lucid dream inside of dream, kinda like falling asleep in a dream and getting into a lucid one then i wake up but in the normal dream again and loose ability to lucid
Hey man, can you please make a video on the best reality checks to do while you are occupied with something and/or have people's attention oriented towards you, so it becomes not very comfortable to do the classic ones, like examining your palms/counting fingers, pinching your nose etc. E.G. What if you're giving a speech in front of hundred of people. That actually would be a good time to do a reality check, I assume a lot of people dream about instances like that, when you do something while being the center of attention. That being said it can be one of most uncomfortable times to do a reality check. Would be grateful for an advice on this🤝
I cannot download the app as I am on android, but I would like to see a way of linking dream journal entries in other dream journal entries like the obsidian note-taking app does as I think dreams have a lot of connections between them and by linking it would help one get a better understanding. Having a graph showing you how the entries connect (like obsidian, again) would be awesome. And perhaps have the ability to take general notes, not just dream entries, so that you could write about the recurring themes or other interesting dreaming related things that are not dreams in of themselves.
Hi yorux i have adhd and struggle with having vivid realistic dreams and lucid dreams in general I'm wondering if you could look into how I would do this with my brain😊
Daniel I'm haveing trouble with figuring out my fake lucid dreams from real ones they start out quite real and vivid then I start doing things I wouldn't normally do that make me question if I was lucid plz help . Thank you
Is there a feature where it tracks your sleep (as apps like Sleep Cycle do) and when you are in REM sleep, it plays an audio that basically says "you are dreaming", would that trigger a lucid dream?
I didn't watch this video until now, because I legitimately did not believe there would be a good app. but it seems like I've forgotten whose RU-vid channel I'm watching and of course you would never shill low quality products
Hey I want to come on here and sort of yap, I recently got back into lucid dreaming because I did it all the time over summer and stopped because I didn’t get any gratification from results, so I ended up quitting does anyone have any tips on finding the excitement and sticking with this
@@LucidDreamPortal yes, I had a very swollen head, a black eye and a red eye. I still have to go to oral surgery to see if they will operate on it. hurt a lot. I have to do something about epilepsy, it could kill me because I keep falling on my head. I still have an overstimulated amygdala from my trip drug use in the past. panic and anxiety complaints, amygdala is close to my brain injury! my theory is that the factor for my epilepsy and overactive stimuli is crashing on my brain injury. I stopped taking caffeine for a while, nicotine is still very difficult, now I have a nicotine patch that helps a lot. and then my amygdala also relaxes. and have noticed that epilepsy comes in a lighter variant and less in frequency. neurologists thought it was a good idea, but useful that I first found the brain interesting. Now I have to deal with my trauma myself, which works well. Psychology in the Netherlands is a big joke and you can quickly become too complex. sorry for the long story hahah. thanks for asking

As a scientific consultant for the app I have no control over platform or business decisions. But from my understanding of the app market It's not uncommon for many new apps to start on Apple before porting to Android. The platform is considerably more stable and uniform, also apple users tend to be more engaged with apps and tend to be more likely to pay for services, which obviously allows companies in the difficult early stages to survive and develop the app. The percentage you share is interestingly also the reverse of the profitability of each platform - with companies developing for apple more likely to be sustainable and turn a profit - which is the most important first step for any company. So it's not hugely surprising that start-ups tend to focus first on what allows them to survive in the initial difficult stages of development. Think of it this way, most people live on the outskirts of cities, but most businesses open their first stores in the city centre. Similar principle for similar reasons.
I have used this app before I had a real journal since 2022 but since the app hasn't been updated on Android and only updated in apple ive been so disappointed because i had 100+ dreams written inside in the app, to this day i still keep the app untouched till now even if i have a real journal.
