That S3 pro head strap is a game changer. I love it so much. I've got a couple of batteries and the battery dock, and frequently play for 4+ hours, at the end of which usually everything is close to fully charged. I never plug my headset in anymore, a fresh battery charges the quest faster than you can discharge the internal battery by alot, and the charge dock charges the batteries faster than you can discharge them. It's really crazy. Plus it's super comfy.
@TurkishKS could you give me the link(s) for the products you bought? I’ve been planning on getting multiple batteries for my quest 3 but I can’t find a charging dock for the bobovr batteries.
How is it in more physically intensive games? The biggest concern I have with halo straps is that it'd constantly wobble and make the experience uncomfortable or worse fall off my head and break the quest. I'm talking about games like eleven table tennis or creed or those fitness games where you are constantly moving around, ducking, punching, etc. Can the S3 be strapped so tight that it stays on securely and not wobble? If it can is it comfortable or does it feel like it's crushing your head? Can it be used for watching movies laying down? Can I just move the back part upwards and have the quest just lay on my face? Or do I have to change to stock strap any time I want to watch a movie on the bed?
DAM bro, a lot of information passed on in a summarized, practical and quick way. I can't believe that in 25 minutes you tested, compared, showed how it works and unboxed everything. Incredible.
@kelvinSLC glad it was helpful! Yeah it definitely was quite the process to get it all in 25mins. I think I had about 8hrs of raw footage to start from
Here's a little tip: I got the Quest 2 carrying case for my Quest 3, and it fits perfectly. You still have enough space for accessories, and it's significantly cheaper than the Quest 3 carrying case.
@@JohannesRaab-j2b nah thank you! If it's able to still fit in a quest 2 case the quest 3 case just feels like a rip off ngl. $120 for a carry case is insane vs the $35 it is for the quest 2. Seriously thank you.
@@JustinTechTips For me I wasn't really getting that much hype from the recent VR games especially on PC VR as well as the different draw backs that I've been seeing coming from the PSVR2 just didn't do it for me but now seeing this video and the other different games out there. I feel more welcome than ever
I pimped my 512GB Quest 3 with an Aubika Battery Strap, AMVR Facial Interface, Maecker VR knuckle grips, Hons VR magnetic prescription lenses and Quest Games Optimiser. I can 100% recommend all of these accessories The Quest Games Optimiser is probably the best $10 you can spend on any Quest HMD.
You did not lie. This literally covered everything Quest 3 related. And as someone wit both the Bhaptics vests AND the forcetube gunstock. Your 100% right..however the forctube is a must to me bc paired with the vest it takes immersion to another level on my main shooter which is Contractors anyway. So it's worth it to me.
The S3 Headstrap was the biggest game changer for me. Have a Quest 3, been playing since Quest 2. Always had a headache problem because the headsets would press on my eye/brow region like a diving mask and constrict my blood flow, which gave me headaches and made things very hot and uncomfortable. I bought the best, smoothest, coolest facepads and even those did not fully remedy this comfort issue. I bought an S3 Headstrap. I realized it sits securely on top of my head like a light hat, instead of pressing the headset onto my face area like a diving mask. So I just removed my facepad completely and let the headstrap hold the Quest 3 in front of my eyes, kinda like night vision goggles. It works perfectly. The Quest 3 screen floats right in front of my eyes. The screen is also much closer to my eyes due to no face cushion, so I have more FOV and immersion. And the best part is - my headaches are completely gone with nothing pressing on my face! And the S3 is not wobbly like that - it can easily hold the Quest 3 just at the forehead/headband area alone. It's like wearing a light hat/band. Plus there is better air flow due my eyes not being sealed inside a face pad. Now there is some light bleed of course, but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as the headaches and poor comfort did. And if I really want to block the light - I just wrap a buff/cloth around the gaps, works quite well!
I'm pretty certain the reason the quest 3 charging station didn't have a charging block was because you were supposed to use the one included with the headset.
@ThatRandomDude914 lol it is my work though so I do fortunately get to write of these expenses :) Yeah I know there are some PCVR headsets that are better than the Quest 3 and a lot more expensive. Which one do you like the best?
@WasSluggishGamer Sorry, yeah I've been dislexic with those two names ever since I got my quest 2 years ago for some reason. I don't even play Superhot anymore and I still keep calling Pistol Whip.. Super Hot :/
And remember, people... Buy your games on Steam and NOT on the Meta Store, so if you ever replace your headset in the future you can still play your games.
@@DaltonStorey-gw7lj Yes, genius, but if you ever want to get out of Zuck's balls, you lose everything. Or even, if they do a Ubisoft move, which they did more than once, they'll just delete a game from your library just because they can.
as someone who used a link cable for half a year for pcvr just use virtual desktop or steam link both are good, steam link is definitely more ease of use but virtual desktop is abit better graphics wise tho more finicky trying to get everything right. steam link on the other hand is alot easier to use as you dont need to launch steam vr it just boots it up for you. all in all virtual desktop for quality steam link for performance. P.S. vd has way more settings to mess with to make it better, but never ever use the oculus app its just bad
Quick question about the Azure 2, Will it be able to handle games like apex legends, COD Warzone, 3 and other titles at over 100 fps on max settings at 1440p. (Or even medium settings im not picky, also sorry for it not being a vr question but im upgrading from a $500 laptop to the azure 2 so I just need a little clarification, Thanks)
@Darkest_Hour590 Yep it will! As long as you get at least this version of the Azure 2 or higher bit.ly/SkytechAzure-2 . That version is the one I tested and at max settings at 1440p COD BO4 got 260fps, COD MW2 got 127fps, and even Cyberpunk got 113fps. I didn't specifically test Warzone but it's very similar. Apex Legends will be cake compared to those games
I think your Binbok battery strap might have been faulty..? Mine works fine, stick the battery to it, and the Quest 3 charges and stays charged, no problem. Keep in that that for some stupid reason, the battery can be connected upside down, which won't charge the headset! On the topic of Binbok, an excellent alternative to the official dock is Binbok's. It's pretty much the only one that has the same slim "controllers side-by-side with the headset" design, but more importantly, it's MUCH cheaper. It also doesn't go to pieces if you try to charge a headset with a battery strap, since it can tilt so it stays connected! There's also LEDs, so it looks like it's being charged via some sci-fi anti-gravity tech, which is neat.
@fireaza thank you for sharing your experience with it! I saw some reviews that had similar issues to mine so it made me believe that they were common issues but I'm glad yours is working well for you! I'll have to check out the Binbok dock. It makes me happy seeing this video is becoming a nice little hub for people to share other products people might be interested in! :)
There's another VR haptic vest/suit that I feel like ought to be brought to your attention (incase you are unaware of it.) It's called the "OwO skin". It's cheaper than the x40, however it's worse at higher details from what I hear and a bit more of a pain to set up and has less compatibility, and it's haptic method itself may seem sketchy to many people. I'm also surprised that you didn't bring up any full body trackers such as Slime VR. Your PC selection feels a bit misleading as well, as I feel like you could've said something about looking into a custom build as you'll often get far better price to performance. The PSVR 2's high price is partly due to its eye tracking, and it does have a cable designed specifically for PC VR, however it isn't out yet and will cost around $60 USD, so you're probably still better off buying a quest 2/3. The Quest 3's processor is also significantly better than the Quest 2's, and I feel like you undersold that a fair bit with your comparison. Other than those minor critiques (that all have perfectly viable reasons for not bringing up), this was a pretty great video. May this comment help boost you up in the algorithm.
@emerald_292 I appreciate the detailed reply. I do think that most people going straight from VR to PC would prefer a prebuilt just starting out vs figuring out how to build a PC from scratch
I bought the TactSuit X40 and, not being into shooters, have only used it on Epic Roller Coasters. In my opinion, its programming for that game is very lazy compared to what it could be-and you can't change it!! Nice hardware, crappy software. Certainly not worth the very high price.
Playstation actually recently announced that closer to the end of this year the PSVR2 would be PC adaptable. Of course, though I would like the Meta 3 just for the wireless option, I'm too poor for a gaming PC even though that would be top tier.
Yo bro, amazing vid but can you PLEASE make another video for budget PC cause I'm really REALLY stuck there and I can't find or know how to find anything good but under 1500$
@SkullGuy123 Thank you! For a budget under 1500 I'd go with this one bestbuy.7tiv.net/damqJ3 . If you can squeeze a bit further to $1700 this Skytech Azure 2 will be quite a bit faster bit.ly/SkytechAzure-2 . That one just recently dropped $300. It was $2000
I got a pair of Soundcore VP10s and 3 dongles from Amazon this week, and I was worried when I heard what you said about no pass-through charging, but mine actually work! Not sure what your source is, but apparently the Amazon models are fine now. Thanks for the great overview! 😊
When my dad bought me the headset i didnt choose the headstrap so he got me the kawaye battery headstrap, ive been liking it and even my friend wants to get it since it can connect to his quest 2 and he can finally have an extended battery too!
HOW MUCH MONEY DOES THIS GUY HAVE?!?! It seems like he makes these videos with like thousands of dollars and probably never even uses all of the stuff in them
Something you didnt mention but bobovr sells a battery kit so you can instal the better battery on the cheaper headstrap . They also sell a quest 2 to quest 3 conversiont kit. Im coming from a quest 2 so i just got the conversion kit and the battery kit. Bow im rocking the m2 headstrap on a quest 3 with the newest quest 3 batteries
today im getting the quest 3 and i ordered the bobovr s3 pro headstrap since i saw only good from it appart from the fan. im getting it bc it went down £100 :D
I wonder if this video made Soundcore update their Amazon ear buds? I just ordered a pair a few hours ago and they're listed as the ones with pass through charging.
🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥DONT MINE AT NIGHT, I KNOW YOURE LOOKING AT THAT CAVE AND YOURE FEELING KINDA BRAVE BUT ZOMBIES WANNA EAT YOUR BRAINS, DONT MINE AT NIGHT.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣
Awesome video! Something important to note about the "Elite Strap with Battery" from Meta tho is that it's the only one that really extends the battery life and doesn't work like a powerbank! Because with the others, you're constantly charging up the battery of the Quest itself, while with this one, it depletes its own battery first, and only then will the internal battery of the headset be used. This is the only reason I myself chose to use it over every other strap, even with it being that much more expensive. I also do not have any issues with the comfort tbh.
@Aminashins lol. Nah, Just give the algorithm a couple weeks to learn who to serve the video to. Quest 2 has accumulated consistent views for 2 yrs but actually had less than this Quest 3 vid after the first 4 hrs. Believe it or not this video actually has almost 3x the views that Quest 2 video had in the first 5hrs.
Ik this video was on vr but I’ve been searching for a good pc that will allow me to upgrade it in the future with better hardware. My budget is 1k to around 1.5k. I’ve watched your video about the best gaming pc for every budget. I’m still not sure but I’m looking at the Skytech azure 2 with a i7 13700k and a 4070 and ddr4. It’s $1449.99. I also was looking at the Corsair Vengeance i7500 with an i5 14600KF and a 4060 and ddr5 at $1699.99. Also the King95 from Skytech looks good. It’s equipped with an i7 14700F 4070 super and ddr5. It’s $1579.99. Any other recommendations/what the best I can get in my budget? Or should I stick with the skytech or Corsair? (I’m also subbed 😁)
The most recent PC is the one I think is best for that budget. It actually has the best price/performance ratio now than any PC I've ever reviewed. bit.ly/CyberPowerPC-7800X3D . Sorry for the late reply
I have a challenge for you get a 3D printed adapter to use the Apple Vision Pro head strap on the quest 3 I did that project and I don’t regret the $100 price tag for the headstrap
@JuvYT531 dang 5k US dollars? Most of them are less than that. I like the Corsair Vengeance a8100 geni.us/CorsairVengeance-a8100 But a less expensive more bang for your buck PC would be the i7500 geni.us/CorsairVengeance-i7500
@JustinTechTips Don’t know bout the US, but here in Grea’ Bri’ian they’re trying to dump all the stock onto the floor so that they have more room for Q3 stuff. I just got a Q2 and started searching Amazon and found the official stuff for cheap.
The link for the souncore earbubds is not working. I bought these from Amazon but returned them due to no pass through charging. I would love to have them work correctly. Which one would you recommend?
@survivemichsurvivemich4280 Sorry about that! Here's an updated link. I created a choice page for this one since it's also available at Soundcore. You'll see as of right now when you click on the new Best Buy link that it is out of stock. geni.us/Soundcore-VR-P10
Hey just wanted to give you a little tip for blurring out stuff it's not recommended to just blur it is much better to put a black box / bar over it because blurring can be decoded so just wanted to get some helpful advice there also love the video it's great
@pattyg1902 thank you for the advice! I normally have my editor cut those types of shots out but I missed it so I had to blur it with RU-vid's online editing tools after the video was already uploaded
