Video was literally how I based my decision on which monitor to buy. I ended up buying both the Philips 246 and the Acer SB220Q from Amazon to compare them against one another. I only play Warzone atm and the Acer worked out the best for me for that game. Everything this guy said in the video about the 2 monitors was on point. Listen to him, he’s a monitor God 👍🏽
I just wanted to come back and thank you for helping me make my choice. I did go with the Phillips and I am extremely pleased by the performance and price. My only gripe is the location of the adjustment button which is inconveniently located at the back of the panel...it certainly is not a deal breaker. I should mention that I am using this as a secondary display for my laptop as I am working from home; I also do photography and the editing as a hobby, so I was attracted to the colour accuracy. yeah same I got this scuffed samsung tv as my monitor, I basically removed the stand and propped it up on some textbooks. And since I dont have a webcam I just unscrewed my laptop screen and command stripped it to the wall above the tv. So now i have a ghetto "dual monitor" setup. Luckily this christmas I got $100 dollars so I'm looking for some decent stuff...
I actually saved up and I got 150 dollars for Christmas from my mom and I got a Samsung monitor and use my Roku tv as a second monitor and I also saved enough for a gaming pc which just got here yesterday
Yo can we talk about how good this video is? Not only was it more informative than any other monitor video I've seen, with the actual ghosting and color shifting tests, but this guy tells us he wont watch porn on a certain monitor at 2:29 .. like that's real homeboy shit right there. I am currently using the 27' version of the phillips monitor shown near the end, I have to say it is a very good monitor, good for gaming, video and picture editing and I couldn't have been happier with my purchase.

Just give me a 1080 monitor with 120Hz refresh, rotating stand (for portrait mode for documents) and no stupid RGB lighting accents or sharp angles. I need an inexpensive pair of monitors for home office work and very occasional casual gaming during conference calls.
I recommend the Asus vs228h-p, very similar to the Asus model reviewed here (almost certainly the same panel) but with VESA mount; VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs; a standard power connector; and a headphone jack. This is an excellent budget monitor which performs exactly as one would expect a 1920x1080p TN panel to perform, and as such it serves perfectly as a secondary or tertiary for monitoring temps, running a browser, viewing email, etc. As of this post (Mar 20) can be had on Amazon for $93. If it sucked, I wouldn't have three of them, all bought at different times.

I wanted a 24'' 60hz budget monitor with good colors to put next to my 240hz XL2546k. So, I spent the last 3 months testing a lot of 60Hz IPS monitors. OMFG!!! one word that describes that Philips 246E9QDSB is ''*vibrant*''. The colors and contrast ratio are absolutely incredible. it's literally the best budget 60Hz IPS you can buy right now. it has much better colors and contrast ratio than a 1440p 144hz LG 27GL83A I had 4 months ago. That black level issue that Ed was talking about can be easily fixed by setting the gamma to 2.2 in the monitor's OSD. Also, unlike most wide color gamut monitors, some that even cost $500 dollars, that Philips actually has a usable sRGB mode. You can literally control everything in the sRGB mode.
When i first bought my sceptre monitors over 3 years ago , i was soo skeptical about buying it. and its still running strong for my second monitor. i gamed on it for a year or so until i jumped from 75 to 165hz.

I got the 2nd Monitor on the list since I got my pc (3 years ago), works perfectly fine, no artefacts or Sth else, and overclocked it to 74 Hz, which really is another experience, go for it!

I purchased an Acer CB272 monitor for $89 buck (originally $149-ish), that was on sale at the time and it's a decent monitor that is 75Hz IPS panel. It may not be the greatest, as I could of waited and got some better and more money, but it's a good monitor for the light gaming I have been using it for.
Would’ve really liked to see the Acer SB230 Bbix 23” in this list. It has a 1080p IPS display, 75 hz refresh rate, AMD Radeon Freesync and 1ms response time for $109.99. Great video nonetheless!
