Thank you for this video! Your channel is one of my very favorites. They don't seem to have muffalettas here in southern California. Gonna have to make my own. Thank you for showing me how to do that! Please don't stop making videos! Thanks again!
Those sandwiches are so addictive. I used to get bent out of shape because they dont have that bread in metro atlanta. But now I just get French and brush some oil on the top and add sesame seeds. Wicked sandwich!
Wow. I watched u yrs ago and havent been on yt in yrs and this was the first to come up after logging in...hey boy! Glad to see ya. Congrats on the new grandbaby. Stay safe. Now I have to binge watch your recipes
Hey JB ! nice to see you still making videos ! I remember our talks about making beer many years ago LOL. Anyway, off to watch this video now. Have a great evening !
Good to see you back JB!! Sandwich looks delicious I'm not an olive fan but the oil would be good. Glad you showed the jar breaking I thought that type stuff only happens to me
Looks SUPER, I had a muffaletta in New Orleans at the levi when I was visiting a while back but I think your version takes the cake. YUM! Sorry about the mishap with the Giardiniera mix. I must say I would have been cursing like a banshee! I applaud your restraint. Have a great day, otherwise chef!
Thank you for highlighting the warning about pits in some of the olives. That can be a nasty surprise, quickly making heaven a molar-cracking nightmare.
We make our olive salad just like dat and we add black olives, and mince it up. Put it back in the jars and you can spoon it out and get plenty of good chunky fixins, plenty of oil and not grease you floor and walls😂
as long as a jar of olives, (about a year) Just make it yourself Muffuletta Olive Salad Recipe 1 1/2 Cups Green Olives, Pitted 1/2 Cup Calamatta Olives (or Black) Pitted 1 Cup Gardiniera (Pickled Cauliflower, Carrots, Celery, Pepperoncini) 1 Tbsp. Capers 3 each Fresh Garlic cloves, thinly sliced 1/8 Cup Celery, thinly sliced 1 Tbsp. Italian Parsley, finely chopped 1 Tbsp. Fresh Oregano (When I have it in my garden) or 2 tsp. dried 1 tsp. Crushed red pepper flakes 3 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar 1/4 Cup Roasted red peppers (Recipe follows) 1 Tbsp. Green Onions, thinly sliced Kosher Salt & Freshly Ground pepper To Taste (salt may not be necessary) Crush each olive on a cutting board with your hand. Combine all ingredients. Cover with: Extra Virgin Olive Oil about 1 - 1 1/2 Cups Put into a bowl or jar, cover and let the flavors marry for about one week.
Such a mighty looking sandwich---especially with all that glorious coppa. We've all been there with the jars JB...pretty much why I just pour it straight nowadays and try to just keep a deft wrist or resign myself to the fact that something is about to taste a whole lot stronger.
Love muffulettas! We have a chain here in Texas called Jason's deli.. Don't know if u have that or not where your @.. They make an awesome muffuletta!!
Damn JB I know you had to of been beyond pissed, but man I'm glad you didn't get hurt cleaning up the glass mixed in with that oil. I sure want that recipe for the olive salad please.

Just picked up a jar of that off Amazon def was not cheap but I have heard from so many people and you over the years about Muffuletta's and using quality stuff and the crap I can get here at the stores in CT sucks made them once before and its garbage when using some no name blah olive mix so ordered this exact brand cost me around 15 bucks for a 16 oz jar which is pretty expensive but I have no choice can't get it at any local stores and with my Amazon prime doesn't take long to get orders will have it Tuesday def will get back to you when I make it with the real deal the last one I made a couple years ago was good from your older video but now will be even better. I'm sorry, I laughed my ASS off! We love you! And, we've all been there before. Nothing worse than dropping your plate before you get to the table... I've never tried to make my own muffuletta before, because it's so damn expensive.
Best sandwich in the world. But ouch, damn. One time when I was working at Rouses somebody dropped one of those huge jars of olive salad in the aisle. Talk about hell to clean up. My aisle smelled like an Italian deli for the rest of the day, which was lovely, but also torture because it made me really want a muffa.
Relly, I wonder what was the origin of this sandwich Thanks. That's what I thought it was an Italian sandwich. I also thought pastrami was on it⁉️ Oh my goodness that looks so good!
hey boy,,,,can we all say oops now,,,,sorry jb,,,,jus couldnt resist------we spent a week in new orleans years ago and i could not believe the amount of people sitting on the levee eating this sandwich,,,,its was crazy
