@@econdude3811 😂😂😂 yeah yur right on that 1! NOBODY topped Roseanne! But i love Tyler! Just not that song. Love everything he dos. OMG now u got me remembering Roseanne singing it. I gotta go, cuz I'm gonna b sick! 😂😂😂
Yeah Meatloaf performed the song with class and dignity but for Steven Tyler, it was all about making a spectacle of himself. ( Which is never hard for him to do in the first place). Tyler's rendition is tied with Roseanne Barr for the absolute worst rendition of the National Anthem ever heard!
He sang this accapella and it is a great performance. This is an order of magnitude more difficult than any other performance I have seen which have instrumentation including Whitney Houston.
I love Steven Tyler! He's got 2b my favorite singer. I love areosmith. But Tyler needs 2 stop singing r country's songs. MEAT LOAF!!! Now he does r country proud wen he sings them. Meat loaf is DA MAN!!!
Not just his pipes either. Watch the video version; player after player, fan after fan, caps and/ or hands over their hearts. Feeling it. No kneeling,no hate, but a tribute to an America long gone.
@@galegrazutis964 My goodness I shouldn't have to explain it to anyone. Steven Tyler did an absolutely nauseating performance of the National Anthem. He can't sing in the first place and the shrieks and off key screams in this video is so deplorable!
@@galegrazutis964 I can tell you must be a Steven Tyler fan for ( some) reason. I'm sorry I know the truth hurts but you just have to accept the truth and just roll with it sometimes.. you know? Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger are basically the same in my opinion. Neither can sing, both are so ugly their Mom had to tie a piece of meat around their neck to get their dog to play with them, and both are about 100 years old and should have left the stage literally decades ago!
All of you saying that meatloaf -- who very few Mellennials and Gen Z's have heard of (unlike Tyler)-- would know that when determining a better singer one should consider that Tyler rarely uses vibrato. When Tyler started the anthem in a higher key, than meatloaf (who history barely remembers) he reached the heights in pitch Loaf did not upon executing "and the rockets red glare!". meatloaf is a is pseudo classical nobody, a blip in music history, with much less range in voice than Tyler -- who stayed true to his Rock form when singing the anthem.
Steve version is a real a cappella one.Meat Loaf sang with music, and that's make life easier.Steve brings his harmo to tune himself. And Meat Loaf sang chewing his gum. So it's not a competition, but deuce for me.I like both.
We're told to keep our comments respectful so I will. Steven should stick to singing rock. Meatloaf educated the world in 1994 on how to sing OUR "National Anthem". Tyler can sing but he's no "Marvin Lee Aday" other wise known as "MEATLOAF"🎶🎶🎶
@@travisreynoldsmusic Sorry Travis, I was disagreeing with the title of this video which said "Best National Anthem ever", Tyler didn't sing it very well.
@@galegrazutis964 Unkind....I said he should stick to what he does best....which is Rock music. Aerosmith was a great rock band. His voice just isn't as good as Meat Loaf's. Better than mine though. P.S. ....his band mates said he had a fat head.
I see comments thatmeat loaf's version was and will forever be the best for them, but for me, it's steven who made me vibe into the Anthem, but meat loaf's version just made it sound like a decent one. But nonetheless, they both slayed it...
The flag stayed up because men kept running up to lay on their fallen friends to try to keep ole glory flying... They literally died for the dream of America!!!
Sounds like a kid singing it. This isn’t a song you sing to joke around doing so. You sing this song with passion like meatloaf did. When I heard meat it moved me. This version is a joke.
