I Attened the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, where several companies had many new products. I Went to see mainly outdoor power equipment and power solutions.
Was very impressed with the new line up of genmax generators and power stations they are going to bring to market. Never before seen unit that do more then parallel and also solutions for extended run times. EFI now!!. Other compaines like champion A-ipower and Pulsar were there as well. But these were definitely the more impressive of the bunch. And sorry if i look tired, the travel days were a little rough 😂👍🏼 #new #power #genmax

Good stuff! That series connector is slick. Being able to parallel a generator and battery unit is also very cool. power washer/generator is interesting, I'm sure detailers would love that. Great video as always.

Thinking about the killer app for a parallel battery, I would love to see a hybrid car type approach. When loads are high and the engine is above say 80% load, the battery feeds power in to share the load. Then when loads are low and there is extra capacity, the battery feeds power out replenishing itself. Get most of the power of a parallel setup, with less cost/hassle vs two full engines. It would just need a smart (adjustable) management system.

Sweet. I don’t remember a time that you could get a factory built tri-fuel generator that used inverter technology. It has been dual fuel sometimes, but not tri-fuel, so you had to do modification kits. I would literally order this today.

I'm interested in the tri-fuel as well. I wish it wasn't so enormous and expensive though. I can't imagine they'll sell them for less than that dual fuel 9500W model, which is going for $2200-$2400 right now. Right now my best option seems to be the Champion 100520 with an aftermarket natural gas kit.

Thanks. They have been around a few year about 3 I think with the Genmax line. But have supplied engines since 2010 and built a lot of other products for other companies as well. So now they make there own from my understanding. They built other known brands as well. But sometimes not every model from that brand.

The parallel feature is really one that most interests me. Deep well pumps are often 240v so ensuring water during outages is critical. Also, the fact that two smaller form factor generators can be linked allows for ultimate flexibility and potential fuel savings. Thanks for the product update.

Ecoflow has a double voltage hub to get 240 from 2 120 volt units. I was wishing Honda would create something like this. Looks like genmax has done it, at least for new units.

Correct Roy ECOFLOW has the double hub but that’s if you use two Delta pro units. It doesn’t work using the gas generator they have. I was wondering if something like this would show up and had no clue, and boom there it was.

I’ve been following Genmax for a few years now and it’s absolutely amazing how fast they continue to release new and innovative units to the market. No other inverter gen company is even close to them with these latest products. And now I see why are are adding that round serial plug to units. It sounds like they have a big plan for the various things it can do from ATS start/stop to that fuel pump, to the 240v box. Amazing stuff. I also worry about quality and parts availability but their prices make a strong case for trying them. Great video!

Genmax makes most of the other companies' generators as well like the Predator and Duromax. It makes sense that they would bring the newest technology to their own brand. Hopefully their US customer service will catch up as well.

Genmax does manufacture for other companies like pulsar DuroMax and a few others but not the predator line. That is there own. The customer service and warranty were things we talked about at the show and was one thing they were putting a lot of time and money into to start building that up. I see them being maybe like the champion model. If not buying Honda and Yamaha champion is always a great option due to customer service and warranty. If Genmax follows this model they should do well. They have already made some improvements from some suggestions I made to the finished products for a couple of these units. So will see. I’m glad someone filled the void of having a wider selection for generators. I thought Champion was going to do more and I know a couple new models are coming but they didn’t say much.

@@johnnysweekends HI Johnny. I bought over the phone years and years ago a 2500 watt Yamaha gas generator. It was the quietest one I've ever heard at the time. Just a couple if years ago I had it in the shop to be cleaned as foe the gunk in the carburetor. The man that usually fixed the thing said the coil was bad and he couldn't find one anywhere. I was really bummed as that thing would run a way higher load than my other gas generators like 5000 watt Champion. I don't know how and the technician didn't either but he checked out hiw much stuff it would run at the same time in his shop and said nothing he had ever seen worked as well as that Yamaha.

Thank you I I try. There’s no reason to give fluff info. This is what the unit does, or doesn’t do and this is what it costs and I try to research the items as well to get feed back I can share. Im not bought by a company, even though some items are free for me to review I still give it to people honestly. And sometimes the companies are not always in favor. But no matter the item if its brands new, like a generator or a car or what ever, there is no track record so when people ask if it will last….?? I dont know yet. I have seen new fords and chevys blow up in 5k miles so sure these could prematurely die as well.

Hi I just found you on YT and I am trying to find a solar generator but I know I'm going to need a fuel generator to recharge it cause I live in a small Townhouse 1100 sf and want to get a solar panel . Is there a unit you would recommend. I currently have an older but not yet used AI Power AUS2000ID dual fuel generator. The Aipower you have will charge any power station or solar generator. It’s really about budget and I also find people buy to small of a power station thinking it will do everything. 1000wh is minimum if you want to last a full day for say a fridge. 2000wh and you can do so much more. What is your budget?

Honestly if you have that amount the new delta max 2 is a pretty nice option because it can be expandable and use the smart gen. It has a couple draw backs but still one of the best especially during super sales. It’s a new favorite for sure but bluetti has a couple nice ones as well. I lean a little more towards EcoFlow right now. The other option is to build your own which is by far cheaper and honestly not to hard.

It is a enclosed frame inverter which a enclosed frame is your quiet units. I would assume between 61-63 db at 25% load. Pretty standard now a days.

I just received my new GenMax GM9000iED and if I get a blackout I plan on using extension heavy gauge cords for Appliances(I"m a renter of a home so don't want to pay to have a home hookup) so my question is should I hook up a inground rod then run wire to the Generators ground stud on front of Generator? I"m a newbie here when it comess to Generators.

The generator will use the ground or bonding of the complex/house as long as it hasn’t been changed or anything modified. May want to double check but normally it uses a home bond as the ground.

I'm assuming the 240V is split phase? IE two separate 120V to neutral legs? Are the two neutrals bonded - I see the left generator's ground lead wasn't connected? If so I'd be very interested in you reviewing that. I'd like to be able to buy a pair for home emergency backup (240V well pump) but still would like to take only one generator with my RV for LPG boondock camping. Also would be nice if they made that tri-fuel as I have NG at home!

I have no idea what other models will be tri fuel I know the larger ones for now and maybe trickle down to the smaller or medium ones. I don’t know for sure on the parallel or series box exactly how they have it. Both of those generators are bonded so I would assume they would be. And should be 120 on each leg providing the 26.7 amps per leg from each unit . Or over 50 amp at 120. And yes split. That’s how I would assume it would be.

I'm chatting with GenMax CS, they are pretty cool, respond to all my questions. I've been waiting for a tri fuel inverter, will definitely get the big one once it comes out. But you mentioned they will have a 12000 unit, see they only told me about 10500 model. Will there 12000 be a tri fuel inverter? With this power I won't need two units to get 240v I'm assuming, correct me if I'm wrong please

When I was there, the owner, head engineer, and other reps gave me a run down. And two large units, both tri fuel one 10000 and one 12000 watt unit. The large unit will be a twin cylinder. When…. I don’t know yet.

You would need a 3/4 split to 1/2 for each unit. Just check to make sure it’s correct when you do your piping

I’m interested in a V twin, and the fuel injected model fuel injection would be amazing if you’re constantly changing an altitude. That is if it is able to compensate for the air density difference automatically. However I would like to see some small diesel generators in that 10 to 12,000 W starting segment

@@johnnysweekends Yes but diesel plays better for sailboats and yachts. Because diesel is less flammable it's considered so much safer. Diesel is already onboard in the marine industry.

Rick, i spoke with someone there is is heading up warranty and customer. As there company has been growing so has this department. They are working on getting more parts available to the warehouse in San Diego. Now sure it wont have a designated service shop like Honda or Yamaha but you have to take to a small engine shop. Most these units are almost diy service anyway. It’s a carb service or replacement. Or inverter-board replacement like any other brand that is not Honda or Yamaha. Both being great brands but I think since they have gone cheap the quality and development is not the same. Sad really but not its hard to justify the 3 times the cost sometimes. But in the end all in what the buyer needs.

8400 start 6800 run. NG you loose allot of power. It’s convenience with NG for not really filling up.

@@johnnysweekends Nice - we need a generator for the house to keep a fridge and freezer going in the even of a multi-day power outage. I have some gas and propane, but we also have natural gas and that is the sure thing in the event of a long-term power outage which we've had a couple in the last 25 years. Just want to be prepared to use natural gas if that event happens again.

Do the Genmax 9,000 generator has a electric start or a remote start ? And what types of oil it use ? Is it better to use ethanol free gas for this generator ? Can I plug a electric stove that has a 220 line ?

Yes these larger units are electric and many coming with remote start as well. A normal specified oil is all that’s needed Ethanol free can be used if you do longer storage times but it used frequently then normal fuel is fine. And yes these larger units are 240v ready

Yes most the units from Genmax are electric start. And if you wanted to use a car battery that will work. As long as the battery is 12v it will work..👍🏼

You have to tell your viewers about ethanol fuel. Adding conditioner doesn’t solve the fuel issues, it helps and I always do. When pumping gas at local fill stations, often you are getting whatever fuel was in the hose from the last fill. There’s a big class action legal action about this. your viewers need to know that just because they go to the ethanol free pump, don’t assume that’s what you’re getting! Pressure washer and generator combined ? I really need to think about that one. The tri-fuel is outstanding. The 240amp series is outstanding. Fuel injection outstanding.

Ethanol free fuel is nice if you get it from a station with a designated pump or you end up getting a mix. I find in the long run most people dont wanna pay the extra for it. Which can be on up to $23 a gallon in the store or even at a pump in CA its $8.50 a gallon. So its a decent jump in price verses a additive that works well. But during long term draining completely is best. But yes many new items coming and should start seeing them around early to mid summer

I just want someone to manufacture a diesel inverter generator. I would love a 4500 W and a 10,000 W. Because I have an auxiliary fuel tank in my truck not only for my pick up, but also for my little Yanmar tractor are use around my property. It seems like I always have to get gas for the generators. I would love to have a diesel option.

I think the reason is complicated engine to keep light. They are kinda heavy and diesel obviously gets expensive. But I hear ya there is a need.

It’s hooks to the generator and is a basically ready for when power goes out. So gen is hooked to it sitting there on stand by and ready. Power goes out and generator will start with in about 30 seconds do a quick warm up like 30 seconds to a min then provide power. And you didn’t have to do anything. Now is this for everyone?? Ahh not really but people who live in a area that power goes out frequently or you have important items that need to stay cool or refrigerated then this is a nice option .

The 240 volt thing is awesome. Wish they'd make a "hybrid" battery unit though. Tiny, efficient generator that runs at 80% load or so to charge up the battery for the inverter. auto start to charge. EFI. could really stretch your fuel that way because as is most generators do not operate at a load that provides the most electric energy for the fuel used. With controlling the charger that could allow for a more efficient use of fuel.

I really swoosh they would stop incorporating USB outlets, and bring back 12vdc plugs for battery charging. Its way more useful for charging things like a dead battery on a piece of equipment in the field to get it started, or charging a trolling motor battery in a boat while boondocking.

Yea the 12 volt socket seems more universal because you can buy the 12v usb plugs to put in there. Some generators include that. Maybe they will switch back ??

I'm interested in the 10500 tri fuel. HOWEVER, knowing how I am, $2900 isn't enough to spend so I'm probably going to wait on the 12000 tri fuel when it's available. Unfortunately more wattage and twin cylinder engine may put it out of my range. We'll see. :-)

Yes I did see champion, Aipower and Pulsar and powerhorse. Nothing new from PH champion didn’t have anything new to show but said they have some larger units coming they just didn’t know when, and Aipower had the 7100 that was nice which I wouldn’t mind taking a closer look at. Pulsar is mainly just copies of genmax but they’ve did have one or two models that were not from genmax…I forgot what they were…🤔

I'm very confused ... they finally posted some new models on their webpage but most are very different than the ones you showed in your video. Like the ones that are series connection capable don't have the dual fuel option, the smaller 2800w one doesn't have electric start, etc ...

Well who is everyone ? One person? 5 people? 500? 5000? Need more info, because I can say that about any company depending on the person or the experience. It’s just a little more, like a little. They don’t want me to say till it’s publicly released. But let’s say the one I have now is a one off item. I don’t know of another and the new one looks kinda the same but everything about it is different. Better in every way ! I tell you what I would really love and I've never heard anybody say this and it would be great if you would mention it to them maybe they would listen to you... Make the muffler so you can take it apart and repack it with Glass fiber to restore the quietness after it gets loud... Can you imagine the selling point!!!... Like most things in -30f. They all need help. Hondas have a built in heater you can buy but even then many people have a hard time running Hondas in cold. Not much of anything runs great in that temp 😂

They have been just as good as anyone else from what I have been reading. Every company will have bad units. Look at the new predators since they switched they are not good at all. The original was a die hard.
