great review , thanks i got one yesterday at costco missed the sale had to have it ,so searching for the best reviews , i found yours and it was the best thanks and happy 2024
I work as a hpe teacher, and it Is awesome. For fitness testing, to playing music during training, and taking it home going camping, it’s ability to throw sound over an open environment is awesome. If you want an outdoor speaker this is the one to go with🤙🏼
WiFi brings better quality playback. It also gives you a more solid connection when using it at your house where you do have WiFi for things like your deck, yard, patio, etc.
Why Wi-Fi over Bluetooth : 1) lossless sound compare to worse more compressed sound over bluetooth 2) Ghz of wi.fi goes further way than the 10 meters of the Mhz of the Bluetooth connection 3) wifi has multi-room capability, bluetooth mostly disconnects over short distances and obstacles
Brand new 2 U...Big UP for all the confidence! I'm a Blue tooth Mac'addict; I have 2 Boombox 2s...I'm happy with all the f response but still wanting more subB- xpecially when outside working in the medical garden...so, would you mind sharing any frequency response losses using Blue tooth you might know about with these JBL products, if any; ThAnKz man! PS: Oh, one other thing: Boombox 3 can be paired...yeh! spread that subB around a bit more, but paired with ??? hard-wired between?...?...? Currently I can't pair (simultaneous output to) from either iPhone to both Bombox 2s...seeing how the BB2s are stereo, could having 2 BB2s give me quadraphonic!? YOW
its good for a second speaker in party boost but its to soft or to loud for a background speaker the first should be a midrange jbl then if the party gets bigger this is an option
2:50 that’s because Jbl solves the issue of connecting portable speakers to party boxes but now you can do that As I have bb3 Wi-Fi and party box ultimate ❤ and we can play them together, actually one ☝🏻 more charge 5 Wi-Fi is also compatible with Wi-Fi. Trust me dude you need to figure out some settings in Jbl one application. This is the dream come true just thanks 🙏 Jbl to do this as now we can Pari party boxes and portable speakers 🔊 together. By the way congratulations for your bread new Jbl bb3 Wi-Fi 😊🎉
I just bought this product at Costco for $399, it went on sale there on Dec 3rd. In November their price was $499. So definitely shop this, I've seen an asking price for this wi-fi version as high as $650. I see great value for this at the $399 price point.
The encore has a port and gives you deeper subbass like a home powered subwoofer with tweeters on it. The boombox 3 has sealed subs which give tighter and punchier bass. Also the boombox has boosted mids which I personally can’t stand but it helps the sound carry outside and in like loud environments. Makes it shouty kinda vs the encore. Pretty much the encore for indoor the boombox for on the go or camping or by the pool or bball court or something.
Yo Im actually really considering getting another one at Costco tomorrow, but my question is, when you play two at the same time, can you split them (like on the JBL “One” app, into left and right stereo channels? Or do they still both play in mono just x2? Any info on this would be really appreciated 👍🏼
That's why Devialet Phantom 1 108dB version wins. Yeah, 3200€, but it has 14 Hz bass and with Bass EQ, you get massive bass at 100% volume without bass roll off.
I have yet to see one of the boombox 3’s last more than a week or 2. When JBL figures out quality control it might be an ok speaker. It does sound really nice while it works if you use the equalizer. Also I feel advertising a battery to last “up to” 24 hours that only works for an hour or two max on full volume is deceptive.
@@thennekcdcdthennek6417 I have 4 JBL speakers man. The first 2 were really good. And the boombox 3 sounds amazing. The best portable speaker I’ve tried. My issue is it stops playing mid song and all the buttons become unresponsive. I have to wait until the battery totally dies for it to reboot so I can use it again. It’s very frustrating. I’m hoping JBL replaces it so I can go back to loving them again.
I don’t understand how you can review speakers and not know what hi res wifi audio is (or airplay) and how it’s so much better sound quality than Bluetooth. Plenty of people like listening to music in their backyard over WiFi in high resolution, using an app like Tidal, Apple Music, or Amazon music hd
So many pointless complaints from a guy who dont know what hes talking about contradicts himself every minute and doesnt look into things before making videos you can link it to any jbl speaker using the app atmos is what throws the music at you far away so there is a " benefit " to it and streaming music off wifi provides better sound quality stability and battery life cuz bluetooth uses more power.. again doesnt know what hes talking about 😂
