Do you like the JBL Boombox 3, but the price is too high? Check out my full review on the Tribit StormBox Blast ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z7R9t5xr4_U.html
hi, I tested both Boombox 3 and partybox 310 at the JBL store in Soho NYC . They are both loud with crazy base , the partybox is more powerful for sure but the boombox holds it's own. The boombox is more compact , easier to transport . Just like the extreme 3 , the boombox3 gets even louder when plugged to a power source. You can't go wrong with either it comes down to whether you value size and portability . I forgot they both have Very good batteries to keep you entertained for several hours.
I work 16 hours on weekends as a shuttle bus driver I have two Tribit Stormbox Blasts paired in stereo front and back of the bus I get 16 consistent hours of clear, loud, thumping, booming bass at 60-70% volume. The sound is spectacular and my passengers LOVE it Tribit Stormbox blast kills everything else in sight
Fun fact I'm currently doing a review on 2 Stormbox blast right now. And idk how the hell you get 16 hours between 60 to 70% when I can only get 6 hours 56 minutes at 40 to 70% volume and 4 hours 26 minutes at maximum volume but I am using my custom eq the entire time with the lights turned on. And two of them still does not kill a Boombox 3 but I perfer the 2 most of the time
@The Ascended Tech Ninja Lights off, XBASS off I get 16 hours of powerful sound at 60-70% Been doing it for 5 months now The two Tribits easily kill one JBL BB3 and on battery life Tribit kills everything out there 30 hour battery and I'm getting 16 hours of LOUD club party sound
@@ytpremium7649 I'm telling you to 2 blast does not easily kill a Boombox three for the price okay it does but in general listening no it doesn't well at least my experience. Plus my custom EQ is very aggressive in the bass
Ok the moment when your camera start shaking got me fired up and exited even more then you got expression out of it that moment,i tought to my self this shit is fucking good i need to buy it my self too :D,and here it is 3d later after your video i ended up with bb3 in my house too getting same amount of joy playing that kind of music on it aswell, and i can confirm that shaking is fucking real bro it rattles everything on 60% and i dont even mess whit the eq yet couse once you plug it in the charge the bass is getting even deeper and it maintain it's clarity and that's awsame.Thank you Ninja for your share thought videos they are verry fun and exiting to watch keep it up you are the man :)).Iam a proud owner of that beast speaker despite that it costed me aloot but i dont regret it :).
Bro, i tried the bb3 in a car. Its better than the car system itself. Even putting it in the back seats makes the sound spread all over and its like it comes from the front. The bass is voilent, the vocals and everything are so bright and clean, this is amazing. And its so much better than the muddy partybox 100 that i used in a car. Its boomy but no clarity to the sound
I use my Boombox 3 in my Honda civic but it's good but the bass doesn't resonate too well but in a SUV it does but it still beats a average system but cars like BMW Mercedes ect definitely sound all around better
@@TheAscendedTechNinja yea cuz it goes from all doors and has surround sound.. and probably has 10 inch or more subwoofer. But in loudness the bb3 gets way more than enough in volume its insane. I put it the place of the front passengers legs, and its an experience for sure
@@TheAscendedTechNinja well i had the partybox 100, i sold it as i wanted only one big speaker. I had some doubts about losing bass with this replacement.. but i was surprised. The boombox is a totally different experience.. i stopped listening to the 100 indoors just becsuse of its poor sound quality and covered highs. Its boomy and has good mids, but compared to the boombox its muddy. You dont hear instruments and vocals as good and bright as in the boombox Well its a party speaker, it wont sound as opened for sure. And even when listening in a car it wasnt nearly as great as the boombox Also considering that the boombox as a way better battery life, and is easier to carry, and doesnt collect scraches that much. Yes the partybox has more lower mids , but in deep bass i feel the boombox 3 has the edge.
@@TheAscendedTechNinja even the partybox 100 is rated 45hz to 18khz, and the 18 means it has something undone with the tweeters and they cant go up to 20khz like normal system tweeters. And even when hearing it you can hear something that is cut off in the high end
Wow that was a nice Bass test and the whole camera was shaking all the time 💀 My impression is that the Boombox 3 has a deeper bass and it’s a little bit louder than the bb 2 but both are just 🔥 I really like your humor and I enjoyed the whole vid 😋🔥 Just amazing work what you did and I hope you have a lot of fun with the bb 3 😏❤️🔥
Just found your channel today 🤙 keep up the good work 💪🔥 I’ve Been wanting to upgrade now from the original Boombox to the 3, I will definitely buy it soon 🔥
I love your editing you put in work bro! I wanted a bb3 so bad. I waited for months and months. By that time I was itching for a new boombox. The tribit blast got dangled in front of my face and I preordered it.
Thank you bro🙏 the full review is coming within a couple of weeks. I plan on getting two Stormbox Blast for comparisons. But in general however are you enjoying the Blast anyway
@@TheAscendedTechNinja right on! Yeah I’m obsessed with speakers. Work just cut our overtime so I gotta take a break on adding to the collection. 😂 Have you seen Alan Ross reviews’ video on the Blast? He’s the first one to bring forward the 5.5 kHz dip on the Blast. Besides that it’s a pretty well rounded boombox. It looks like a cheap toy but the sound is amazing. On Thursday, my friend brought in his BB3 and I brought in my Tribit. I was surprised how well the Tribit did against his BB3. The bass hits about the same at the 60Hz range. But the BB3 really shines at the 40-50Hz range. We work in a loud environment and the bass was drowning out the equipment. It was awesome. He decided to buy the Tribit there on the spot. He said he wanted a beater. I’m on the same page though. When I get the BB3 I’ll probably stick with the Tribit for most of our adventures. It’s one of my cheapest BT speakers and one of my best sounding. Pretty crazy what Tribit did for $160 I’d easily pay $250 for it no problem.
Nicee lol besides the HK Studio 7 the Tribit Stormbox Blast is the only 200$ speaker that gets loud and have deep bass. And yes I know of Alan Ross very well and vice versa 😁 Look in the comments on his latest video and you'll see just one of our conversations
The reality is that the JBL boombox 2 has more housing volume it's not a conspiracy but the JBL boombox 2 produces more powerful and dry bass and thus sounds more bass-heavy. The bass spread is for the Boombox 3 less the midrange drivers are in a separate box in the housing so the bass sound does not have the ideal expansion inside. Nobody knows but you should address it :P
@@TheAscendedTechNinja yeah brother thank you very much for your reaction to this. Yes, your own feelings are actually relevant. I noticed that the 3Gen Boombox comes deeper and thus absorbs more fullness, but it's not really noticeable for me. The audible bass is essential and that's where I've been dissatisfied with my new Boombox 3. The old one gave me more bass in the sound and was therefore more popular.
@@TheAscendedTechNinja the new one is badmouthed everywhere and there is criticism everywhere you can see. The sound test unmasks it because here it becomes clear that it is definitely not a clear update.
@@TheAscendedTechNinjaDefinitely loving it. I been going out for walk with JBL boombox 3 the Bass is loud as hell BTW I'm buying me a carrying strap for boombox 3.
What a nice video to watch! Liked your reactions! My reactions were the same when i first saw it out of the box and tried out my new BB3. I upgraded from the BB1 to a BB3. When i first turned on and heard it, my eyebrows went up to the ceiling. I walked out of my living room, and i had to process that for a moment. ;) I was like whaaaaaattt. Danggg, what a difference from a BB1 to a BB3. I surely did not expected that big of a difference. From the minute i started listening to it, i was soled. When i let my friends hear it, they looked at me like, wutttt tha.. also with eyes wide open 👀 they were flabbergasted. That was verry funny. So i upgraded my whole JBL set. Now a proud owner of the BB3, Xtreme 3 and a charge 5. And all of them playing in partyboost, its like an earthquake in mij living room. Very very very happy with my purchases! Just love JBL 🫶🏻🎶 Xtreme 2 to the Xtreme 3, not the biggest upgrade. But also, nice. Slightly cleaner sound and a deeper base, and a bit louder. Charge 4 to the charge 5, absolutely a worthy upgrade. Much cleaner sound, louder and more balanced between highs and mids. Had the old set, for 4 years, never problems with all of the speakers. So with this new set, im gonna have many many years of listening pleasure. 🎉
@YT.26 Awesome comment, I'm getting the JBL Partybox 320 tomorrow 😆 so I hope I have another wow factor because the BB3 was the last speaker to impress me like that. But the Charge 5 was a major sound upgrade for sure. I'm glad you and your friends got to share similar 🤯 moments 😁
@TheAscendedTechNinja Thank you. :) Well, I really look forward to the PB320 video! And I'll hope with you, you'll have another mind blown 🤯experience. Can't wait for your facial expressions. That will tell us immediately if it's a go-go or a no-no. Keep up the good work! Enjoy your new speaker tomorrow. Have a great day! ☀️😎
I really really really wish that they'd have given the BB3 a better base support than the BB2...instead, they gave an even worse support stand, allowing it to easily tip over/ roll over. And it's needed more now than ever with the speaker being it's heavieand having metal construction. This is dangerous to use more in some cases. For me, it's being on a boat.
This was an unboxing and first impressions. My full reviews contain a lot more detail from weeks or months of using the speaker since I tested everything. But this thing is about 20 inches, wide 18 inches tall, and 7 inches long. But if you have a small room, this might be overkill, plus it is very heavy. If you're interested in the Stormbox Blast I got the review here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z7R9t5xr4_U.html
Great video! I played my Boombox3, Boombox2, Extreme3,and Charge5 together and it was pretty amazing to say the least. LOL 🤣 I really do like the Boombox3 I haven't really messed with the tribit stormbox blast or the sound core motion boom sence this Boombox3 has shown up. I will definitely be doing some comparisons. But I am really circuses how this is going to size up with my Dimondboxx m3,and L3. 😉
partyboost was brutal, you must be deaf😂. But good to hear that the boombox 3 is a small step forward. Certainly the Partybox 110 and the 310 are better than the Boombox series anyway, but bad IP rating and bad portability.
Lol the funny thing is I said I did not want to blow off my ears and got intrigued to do it anyway 😂 the Boombox 3 is a pretty good update just wish they took some of the mids off and add it towards upper bass
@@TheAscendedTechNinja That's a problem with jbl, maybe they should have installed an indoor and outdoor mode. The boombox 3 sounds great indoors, but outdoors it lacks upper bass. Basically, I really miss the upper punch of the Tribit with some songs, the depth is there, but you can't hear every song with it.
It's not to late for them to add a mid, upper bass mode in the JBL app. The Boombox 3 sounds great outside but there is basically no more thump but you can hear some deep bass outside which was surprising
@@TheAscendedTechNinja sounds really fantastic. very surprising and thanks again for this effort, thanks for the video and the presentation. One of your best videos 👍🏽
ND FM is the first model. ND JK is the newest model or the other way around. Idk. Some people say, JK and FL are different, but they're wrong. FM and JK means the date number, when it was made. Example, i have 2x JBL Charge 5s, they're both TL, but TL AL and TL DM. They both sound exactly the same, it's only the date number. AL is the launch version and DM is the latest version, but they're the same model. Same with JBL Boombox 3.
I hate Harman Kardon for there lack of innovation 😠 Same dog water battery life a cheap grill, it looks the same and no IP rating. It auto calibrate sound so the deep bass is probably going to be reduced in small rooms. I'm probably going to do a full review and send it back
I thought about buying the UE hyperboom, but it's soo much weaker than the Boombox 3 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PkhDEHxg-p4.htmlsi=l_z5T1DlnvPUdF5w
If it was 399 it would be a killer but retail its here 550euro what is similar to 550dollars thanks to Europe bad inflation so that 150 you could buy a charge 5 extra if price wasn't that extreme
Someone from the Netherlands said that with a voucher he got his for 440$ but in the US it's still 500$ still to high in my opinion bit still is really good speaker but they need to town down theirs and bring up the upper bass
Damn it is a good video. I want the boombox 3 so i could blow my friends away in school cuz i know ny friends has the anker boom plus and i have the regular boom, ima save my money and hurt my bank acc by getting the boombox 3
Shit that's going to be one heavy speaker to carry around. But I did a video on awhile back on two motion booms vs the Boombox 2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K1KINj5xKAs.htmlsi=8fQqWHapbwAqXUdP and the Tribit StormBox Blast review. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z7R9t5xr4_U.htmlsi=Jeq_6LxUNn6r2L9s it's a step up from the Boom plus. And thanks for commenting and watching again 💯❤️🔥😁
Rn the Boombox 2 is 350$ so at that price yea but 400+ BB3 is much better buy if you're going to be using it outside alot. Also that handle gets very cold and hot
When you take it outside it should definitely be loud enough. It doesn't sound that loud indoors although it is pretty damn loud but Outdoors you really get to hear the speaker
Lol! I see sooo many people saying in many videos comments: "Oooooh wow! JBL Boombox 3 is a monster! Bass is super duper loud! Ther is NO BETTER speaker its sized!" What??? Bro what are you talking about man??? 🤨 Devialet Phantom 1 108 model hold my greatness! 1100 Watts RMS, 4500 Watts Peak! 14Hz - 27kHz! No EQ! Just pure sound! Monstrous bass! 💪😎💪
@@TheAscendedTechNinja i know that Devialet is in a whole different level, but JBL Fanboys say that there is no speaker better than JBL Boombox 3! Its sized speaker. But they are so wrong!
1. Charging from the boombox 3 is not slow at all 2. The battery life is never gonna be 6 hours and 30 seconds, im using it for 2 weeks now and i still didnt charge it.
Bro lol my phone was at 80% and it said it needed 30+ minutes to charge because the output is 5 Volts 2 amps. And you must use your Boombox 3 at low volume I'm testing at between 45 to 60% volume than 100%
Lol I been with Samsung for years also I don't have to much storage left since I keep my videos saved on my devices plus the hassle of downloading each song besides background music is to much
@@TheAscendedTechNinja oh ok.. I started adding songs to samsung music so i have like 700 tracks now And it feels the best playing from there its loud and doesnt require internet
I have the boombox 3 too i ordered it off amazon, but my question is does yours make a very slight pop sound when you turn it on, like before the jbl on chime goes off. you have to put your ear up to it im just wondering if its normal.
@@TheAscendedTechNinja on interesting, ive seen many reviews on the BB3 and it hasn't been very positive lol but I collect speakers and all I need is the a pair of FLIP 6, PULSE 5 AND BB3 and ill have the partyboost fam lol can't go wrong with that
So my sister is looking to get a charge 5, on Amazon there is a pink one is that legit? It’s not on jbls actual website, and also there is a white one I don’t see it selling is it only available in a different country?
Good question, but it's not technically shockproof, but if you drop it on to hard wood, dirt, grass, gravel from 4 feet and below, it should be fine besides some cosmetic damage. 5 feet on to concrete you may experience a crack
I met this a speaker as an option comparing to Onyx 7 and Citation 200. Seems like it has not that smooth bass, like another too. But in has much more features, than Onyx and Citation 200.
The Citation 200 has way more futures than the Studio 7 which you can only pair to another speaker. The BB3 is is IP67 dust and water resistant and it has partyboost
some ppl say its harsh and weaker bass than bb2? please suggest i want to buy bb3 or bb2 but i never had them in reallity.. my last was xtreme 1 and thats it.. battery degraded i gifted it to friend... 🙂👍🇱🇹❤️
It's this one amzn.to/3WLeuod but I would watch some RU-vid reviews for comparisons so you know which one is right for you. This one is good but the auto tracking sucks and I have to reset it hear and there which is annoying but besides that it's great at getting shots
So how do low frequency boom box 2 vs no low frequency mode boom box 3 go? Cus I'm leaning more towards getting a 2 because of the low frequency for the 2. What say you?
The new Boombox 2 models and the JBL Boombox 3s don't have LFM. But I wouldn't even use that since the quality of the bass gets lost along with the sound quality. The Boombox 2 without LFM, tho is 38Hz, before it's completely gone. The Boombox 3 is 34Hz, but it just sounds a lot fuller, and it is way louder outside. Max volume on the Boombox 2 is like 75% on the Boombox 3, although if you were to use all of that volume indoors, it would become harsh. But honestly, if you're leaning towards the Boombox 2, take a look at the Stormbox Blast since you can get 2 of them for the price of one Boombox 2 plus it has it's upsides ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z7R9t5xr4_U.html
Thanks for the response. I do have two Storm blast and two sound core motion boom plus. I am looking for another speaker and thought that the JBL boom box will hit lower bass indoors and wanted your opinion.
@johnmoreno5965 Thank you for subscribing, bro💯 the Boombox 2 does go noticeably deeper, but I prefer the soundstage of the Stormbox Blast until 80% volume then that 3.4 khz peak gets wild. The next video I'm posting is on the Soundcore Motion X600. A lot of fake reviewers call it the best speaker of the year, so I'm going to go over both pros and cons and describe who is the proper audience for it
ohh that sound matafakas lol was gona buy a stereo for inside house , not now im buying this so i can take it with me , there is a wifi version abit pricey cos im looking at getting a pair for stereo sound
@eddiewakefield1604 Fun fact I just got the wifi version about a week ago for 330$ since it was slightly used, and it sounds great, but what do you want to use it as a home theater setup and a Bluetooth speaker?
@@TheAscendedTechNinja I was looking for something for the inside setup like a house stereo setup the hassel with cords and speakers, I can take it with me in the camper outdoors plugged in and out ,im running off bluetooth in and outdoors I just brought this bb3 one just under half the price of the wifi version here in NZ just to good to be true
Can you or anyone else please explain the serial number that you mentioned just before the unboxing about there being different serial numbers same speaker better or worse quality....????I have searched and can't find anything about this...I thought different serial numbers.wpuld be because they are sent to different countries....any info about the difference in quality and wich one Is better would be greatly appreciated.

U gotta vs to the tribit stormbox blast. Don’t care about price I care about bass. Apprjeoty, tribit has better bass u can feel punching u whwrrras JBL you can’t but it just SOUNDS lower which isn’t what I Want lol
i need your help, my boombox 2 started sounding very muffled and I don't know what just happened, my first idea was that the tweeters broke, but i've tried to play some tones and it's able to reproduce all the way to 17.000Hz, so it's not the case; but it sounds like they don't work at all! I wish this was in my budget! I did get that refurb XG500 with a 2 year warranty though. So it will have to do 😂 Thanks for the review! I’m hoping for a hyperboom 2 now! But I don’t think they would release that so close to this.
Lol the XG-500 is still worth that 180$ I'm testing the Boombox 3 for a review this video was just sharing my thoughts and having fun😁 glad you enjoyed it though
Btw, JBL Partybox 310 destroys JBL Boombox 3 with ease. With EQ and 52% volume with AC mode. JBL Partybox 310 destroys all JBL portables. Sending it again, because JBL BassBoost 300 is a troll.
