I brought this washer for $749 at the Maytag dealer in St. George Utah. I brought this washer because of many good reviews such as yours. I read many negative reviews of the HE washers and I wanted an agitator and didn't need all the bells and whistles. I just want something that will clean the clothes and be reliable. I checked out the speed queen lwn432 but it was $300 more. Thank you for your great review on it. I based most of my purchase on your review.

I bought one of these about 2 weeks ago. I love it ! Compared to my daughter's "High efficiency " this is definitely a different animal ! It fills full with water and EVERYTHING gets clean the first time! I've seen items in my daughter's machine that never even got wet. And the wash times are relatively quick. I don't want to spend my whole day waiting for a load to run a cycle and with this machine I don't have to. Too bad they don't make this machine with a larger capacity though for the rare occasion I want to run something very large through it such as an arctic sleeping bag. Not a deal breaker though and highly recommend it.

It is October 2020 and I've had this washer for 3 months. Compared to my old Maytag with all it's wonderful options and not-intrusive noise level I could easily hate this washer. But, considering this video and the laundry options of 2020 during the covid when I hear parts for the old machines are scarce I feel lucky to have had a dealer who recommended this machine. I will try to get used to using it! And this video is helping a lot! 🌿🌿🍁🍁🌿🌿

I am so thankful for your reviews, Eugene! I found your helpful videos as I did my homework before investing in our new washer and dryer. You saved us from making a terrible investment in the 2018 model Speed Queen! Thank you so much! We just bought our commercial Maytag about a month ago and agree that it does a fine job of cleaning our clothes. There are some features from past washers I have owned that I miss, though, like being able to control the water level and being able to presoak for however long I need to, by stopping the cycle. I learned today that you can’t manually add any water to the tub before the machine fills with water. I like to presoak my whites in a bucket of hot water and borax and add that presoak water with my detergent before loading with clothes. When I set the cycle to power wash and closed the lid, the machine immediately pumped out my combined presoak liquid and my liquid detergent. I will wait till machine is already filling before supplementing with any other liquids in the future. It was good to learn that the half fill water level only works on the normal cycle when no options are used. I thought my new machine needed service. The comments were helpful in teaching me this about my new machine. Thanks again for all you do to make us informed consumers. So important and helpful!!!

I disagree. Yesterday I went to the local appliance store and cancelled my order for the SQ TC (classic washer) scheduled for delivery in 5 days. I have the companion dryer for two months. It was bad out of the box. The only area appliance repair service company was here twice. No improvement. They ran up the white flag on this appliance. I havehad prior experience with them that was excellent. The signal does not work--unless it does. Erratic, with no pattern to determine. The dryer goes to extended tumble for 30 minutes running up the electric bill for no reason. There is a toggle switch to turn off extended tumble. It does not work. The signal is a basic buzzer that can be had on a dollar store kitchen timer. SQ can't do this properly. The switch for extended tumble on or off is your basic light switch on your wall. SQ cannot make it work. I got email from an upper level of support form Alliance Laundry yesterday. That is Speed Queen's manufacturer. My options is to suck it up. Option two is find an unauthorized service provider. Hire said provider at my cost for two visits. Visit one to diagnose dryer issue, provide a parts list to me. I am to order parts from SQ. SQ ship parts to me at no charge. I contact service provider for visit two to throw parts at dryer. I pay service provider. Service = payment. That is the only part that makes sense. SQ will reimburse me for the cost of the service provider up to $250.00! What in the hail kind of warranty is that? This is a $1300.00 dryer, two months old, bad out of the box. SQ cannot make a functioning buzzer and/or toggle switch. I hope you never need warranty service. If you do you may be SOL.

Own and love it and you hit all the points. Only one I'd add is you must thin out the fabric softener (like the machine says) with water. At full strength the "lowish" spin speed doe not have enough centripetal force to get all the softener out and you get a few blue dribbles at the end of the load. And its impossible to unbalance.

I agree with your video completely. I purchased this washer a year ago and LOVE it. I had a centennial before this one and it was CRAP-loud and failed miserably BUT Maytag went back to their roots on this one. Haven't had a speck of trouble and highly recommend. I also like the fact that if your able to work on washers which I can that they put the mechanics up front instead of the back.

I’m in the process of replacing my old Maytag top loader, which I’ve had 10yrs+. It’s got old school knobs, level selection and temp. This video helped me to make up my mind on the Maytag I will be buying. I had just purchased a different model Maytag at Lowe’s yesterday but will be cancelling the order tomorrow and going with this. Thanks and keep up the good fight. @@susankelly3858 No luck needed. I bought it from a local servicer and he will come and fix it for 5 years. Try again. Also, he said with these machines, they are here for us, but usually only see their customers ONCE- when they deliver and install it. They have been in business locally for 30 years. It is working perfectly. Has not gone out of balance once with some decent size loads. I think you are just mad because you bought a junky Maytag or equivalent. SQ is simply the best- specifically the tC5.

I've been researching for weeks for my first washer and dryer set. I'm use to commercial washers or older versions that are discontinued. You are right on all other Maytag models being trash. I almost bought a newer model similar to a discontinued one I had used at a friend's that last 10 years so far. It had a clear lid with propellers so it was fairly modern and washed heavy blankets no issue. The reviews for the upgraded one were horrible. Any washer I knew would work was discontinued with an expensive, less effective model. I needed a gently cycle for my regular cloths, but something that could wash like the one queen comforter I have. The front loaders are more expensive with 32 plus depth, and my space is 27 inches at most where it has to go. 3.7 cu. ft. is recommended for king size comforters, so this 3.5 cu. ft with dual agitator is a nice compromise. I've never been able to buy my own washer until now, and your videos really helped in figure out my best option in the investment.

I just saw these in the window of a somewhat local small town appliance shop. I thought that they looked interesting and robust. From what I could see the panels were screwed on which would in theory ease servicing.

My laundry room is on the second floor, so no top loaders for me and I grew up with front loaders. My current fl LG is 6 years old and I guess soon to die according to reviews , but I really love it. We bought this washer after watching Eugene’s excellent video reviews. It has been excellent and we are very glad we didn’t get the 2018 SQ. This Maytag has a little trouble dispensing regular Downy, but does fine with Downy free and clear. Good information to know about the normal cycle and that it’s a half tub of water.

Thanks! We are going to buy this Maytag Commercial Washer MVWP575GW. As for the hot water issue? No problem in Arizona, our water is boiling hot in the summer probably well over 120 degrees, so 90 degrees for the water would be an improvement and not so harsh on our clothes, in summer. Sometimes 100 degrees is harsh on clothes too.

He trashed Speed Queen. Hands down Speed Queen is your best choice. The Maytag Commercial has a higher warranty issues, Speed Queen has perhaps 1 out of a hundred warranty issues.

@Isaac Joby John The criticism was not constructive at all. I sell Speed Queen and the new 2018 Top Load Rear Control Washer is an excellent product. I have zero warranty issues. Two years ago I sold a Speed Queen to a lady that purchased her Maytag Commercial (the very washer Lorain claims is better than the Speed Queen) and it had three warranty issues in the first year. She came in last week and purchased a Speed Queen Dryer.

I just bought this machine after watching your video and I really like it. My only complaint is that I cant open the lid while its washing like you somehow do on your videos. My old 30 year old Maytag LA412 was the same way but I was able to undo the lid switch so I could actually watch the machine in action if I wanted and I want to be able to do that to this washer.

Great informative video. The quality of washing machines has went to hell over the past couple decades. I’d rather pay a few hundred more for this than replace a regular $450.00 one every 4 years!

I feel to make this washer better along with what you said they should add a water level switch that has auto fill AND manuel selections like the 2018 SQ. I don't really like the auto or deep selectors whirlpool is putting on their more recent washers. And on the subject they should make max fill to the top row of holes in the tub instead of 75% of the way up.

I enjoyed your reviews and observations on this washer. I ended up purchasing one today, despite being steered to the MVWB765FW by PC Richard salesmen. It seemed like they were more interested in selling me their 5 year service plan than the MVWP575GW with Maytag's 5 years P&L warranty. I told them that I saw YT videos that showed how the rollover was great on the 575GW, but they insisted that the 765FW was as good and the Deep Fill matched it in water volume (perhaps in wash, but not rinse cycles). I'm glad I didn't go with their advice at the store. (BTW, they gave me a great final sales price on the 575GW.) I watched some videos of Maytag's other TL agitator washers on YT tonight and the clothes swish in place - not rolling over. I'll try to leave a follow up comment once I use the 575GW for a while. Question: Any thoughts about why the 575GW has ~50% estimated electricity consumption of the 765FW (149 kWh vs. 356 kWh)? I also noticed that the estimated yearly cost of hot water for the 575GW is less than half of the 765FW. It leads me to believe that the 575GW consumes half the amount of hot water of the 765FW, on average. That isn't what I expected because the 575GW's Deep Water setting fills the tub whereas the 765FW uses relatively small amount of water for certain cycles (despite Deep Fill being enabled). Maybe I'm interpreting the energy efficiency numbers incorrectly? The tub volumes are different for these two washers, but I'd expect that the FTC bases their energy estimate on a fixed volume of clothes per year instead of a fixed number of loads per year.

Do as I did. Buy the Speed Queen commercial Hospitality washer with the electronic controls. Change out the control board with the part number from the 2017 9 series washer and you have the 2020 equivalent to the 2017 9 series S/Q.

Eugene, they added the water selector (586) and I bit the bullet. Arriving in 10 days. Nothing compares to my Maytag Performa that lasted 29 years. But I don't want a SQ. They don't have a water selector. Nice review

This thing looks like its doing a great job. I have the 2016 top load speed queen washer and loving it. If I was looking for a new washer I would go for this one or if I could find a oldie but goodie or a front load speed queen. What do you think of the front load speed queens? I know they don't make them anymore but I know they are still out there.

My 12 year old Maytag Epic front load washer and dryer both just died. After horrible experience with Samsung fridge and LG dishwasher I won't go near South Korea again. Currently on a whirlpool fridge and a Bosch dishwasher... Very happy and reliable. Recommendations on washer and dryer?

Hi, I noticed that the drum looks different on this washer on some videos. Does this washer have different looking drums. For example on your older videos the drum has many little holes all the way down. In the newer videos of this washer it looks like there are not as many little holes in the drum. I would like to know because I just bought this washer and mine only has a few holes through out the drum. Thanks!

What is your opinion of the new Maytag front loaders? Looking at the closet depth model. I really like the controls on them, but not sure if they are reliable. We wash a fair amount of down stuff and delicates so feel that this Maytag commercial with the agitator isn't ideal for us, otherwise I would jump on it...

We bought this washer in 2019... it’s needed to be repaired 1 year later and now 2 years later. Same problem-plastic agitator dogs wear down so it no longer agitated correctly. I love the way this washes when it works. But looks like I’m going to be out of a washer for a few weeks every year while it’s repaired. After the 5 year warranty runs out then it’s gone 😕

I use a simular combination to get the smell out of my thrift store finds. I'm running one of those budget whirlpool (Roper) machines. I use the hypoallergenic Tide (no fragrance and no dye). Tide+Borax gets the dirtiest cloths clean and leaves them smelling fresh.

I recommend persil Or if you really want to go commercial then get Laundersol which is a industrial laundry detergent which has no scent but it contains phosphates which consumer detergents do not have anymore

Is this MVWP575G or MVWP575GW?? W on the end of model number? On the Maytag website if you type in only G, they add a W at the end.

I wonder if anyone here can offer some suggestions. I had an LG dryer and washer combo. The dryer was defective from the factory and LG replaced it, but, even though the model was identical, the color was a bit off compared to the LG washer. Do I have any recourse?

This machine should work well for most of your laundry except for the dog beds. I wash dog beds at the coin laundry with the giant-capacity (2, 3, 6 and 10 normal load size) front loaders. Takes a half-hour plus dry time. I have had Norwegian Elkhounds ^-^ for the past 35 years. The breeder I got my current buddy Baldurdash from uses a no-frills regular home-market Maytag front-loader.

I have a 35 year old Lady Kenmore 90 series washer. The wash tub is now off center and leans toward the front of the washer. Water leaks on the floor and there is too much side to side motion during spin which causes some banging against the sides. Do you think it is worthwhile having it professionally repaired? I don’t like the lack of clothing movement and lack of water control in today’s new machines. However, this professional Maytag looks good to me as a possible replacement.

Thank you for your amazing reviews! Thousands of people would be buying worthless washers if it weren't for you! Two quick questions: if you wash on the normal cycle and choose two rinses, does it fill half full of water on the rinse? Or is it just a second spray rinse? Perhaps an option would be to rinse and spin after the cycle is complete -- or is that also only a spray rinse?

Is this machine based on Whirlpools vertical modular washer design but with better parts? The bottom of the machine resembles some newer whirlpool washers I’ve encountered.

Based on yours and others reviews, we purchased this washer. I had no idea it was so noisy. It makes a very loud grinding sound when it is washing. Our washer is in our home and it is very disruptive. We called Maytag and the lady told us that their new drive system makes that noise. I am very upset because we need a washer this size (larger ones won't fit our space) and the washer did not make this sound on your video. Any suggestions? Any other washers you know that are quiet and are only 25 to 26 inches deep?

I have it and liked the cost and obvious mechanics and warranty. My gripes are that they don't explain or chart out the cycle logic anywhere.... You have to figure it what does what on your own. For example normal is only half fill and spin rinse if it's normal with NO options selected. Any option makes it fill full and do a fill rinse. Also, an unbalanced load violently strikes the cabinet and even pushed the side of the front panel out from the clip. It should be sprung more tightly if it's "commercial" in my opinion. Overall, a better buy still than other available garbage.

In this video you show a queen size comforter and say it did a great job, but in your 2019 review of a maytag commercial 3.5cf you say "i didn't even bother running a queen size comforter because 3.5cf really isn't enough so there was no point" (paraphrase, but close). So watching this makes me think the newer one would handle it just fine as well?

Trying to figure out how this one compares to the old school Whirlpool washers from a generation ago. We still have one but thinking about replacing it due to some rust near the top under the lid. I can get refurbed old style ones everywhere around here for cheap so was wondering if the new one JUST cleans as good or is it really better.

I bought a front load washer this week which I will be returning because clothes not so fresh smelling.The mvwp575gw I found for $739 with 5 year warranty. At a box store the number is mvwp576kw $848 ONLY 1 year warranty & price will go back up to $949 on 6-15-20. I called Maytag and they could not tell me the difference she said usually just a small thing so model number changes. Then she saw warranty difference, the warranty is better on the $739 model mvwp575gw so why the other model # much more expensive and only 1 year warranty???

Regarding the tempering of the hot water temp, couldn’t we just close the cold water tap on the wall when we need an extra hot wash? ( and once the washer is full of water, reopen the cold tap for the rinse cycle)?

@livey oone I believe it's TR3000, It's heavy duty commercial and we haven't had the clumps now for awhile but I wish we had spent the extra money and went with the next level higher which has a soak cycle. They are by far the most durable washing machines so a little more is worth paying when you'll own it for 25 years!

Bought this washer over Speed Queen top loader. My old top loader HE Maytag Brovo XL was a junk. It never washed well and it finally started to leak from the bottom after 7 years of use. I heard that Speed Queen was the best. After doing some research and watching on youtube how bad 2018 model I bought this Maytag. It's been two weeks now and I have done 7 loads of wash and eveything came out great. I have no regret buying this machine over Speed Queen. Time will tell how long this machine will last?

Johnny A I also bought The Maytag bravos XL in 2013 after researching it. I thought it was the best buy I had ever made. After 3 years I noticed a little leak but it seemed to go away. A little over a year ago, it started to spin really loud. It started to get that annoying Ul indicating it was unleveled. I noticed oil underneath it, like a splatter, and water leaking. I had the extended warranty from Home Depot and they came to fix it. They said it was the ball bearings. It worked ok for a while but that darn unleveled kept coming up. Now water is pouring out that I have a towel in front of it but it won’t even get through a wash because the Ul shows up. So here I am looking for a new washer. I’m scared to get a Maytag. I was all in for speed queen but now I’m steering away from that.

@@hildah2954 I told myself never buy Maytag again. First junk Maytag Neptune front loader and second junk Maytag Brovo XL. Did hours and hours of research and was ready to pay $$ and buy Speed Queen then realized 2018 models were junk also. Looked for the 2017 model and all sold out locally. Then I saw Maytag commercial grade washer. I wanted something old school nothing to brake. Just wash my clothes clean. I didn't want anything fancy with touch board and options I would never use. I have had this Maytag for almost a month now. So far great washer. It does it's job. Clean clothes and done it well. We will see how long this washer will last? But knowing that it has 5year parts and labor warranty I'm happy.
