same but i want the cbr650r. better aero and the 4 cylinder engine just feels better at the higher rev range on the highway where i spend a lot of time than the p-twin hornet.
That retro look was played out 6 years ago. So done with that nonsense and hopefully manufacturers will catch on to the fact that most people are tired of it.
@@DB-sd3cw the neo looks was a mix of old and new. What exactly makes you think anyone is tired of the neo looks ? the CB650r is still praised all around as one of the prettier middle wieghts released over the past years. If anything the "transformer" looks of the new hornet has been dated for a decade or more, you hardly see anyone praise the new hornet for it's looks, its the engine that makes it popular.
I’m a big fan of not being a big fan of any one manufacturer but, I own four motorcycles, two are Hondas. I’ve been looking for a reason to trade my Africa Twin for another Africa Twin. However, unless they marry DCT with adaptive cruise control (no brainer?) I’ll stick with the one I have. Not sure that’s worth sharing but, there you have it . . .
@@GIGABACHI I have a few bikes including a sport bike, antique bike and another “adventure” bike none of which I’d want DCT. But, it took a lot of learning to learn how to use the DCT on the Africa Twin and - after time any many different circumstances - it was worth the effort. And, the learning was far from automatic . . .
For me, the CBR100RR SP & CBR600RR are the bikes from Honda's new line up that I find the best looking. But for my use of almost a daily commute to and from work, it will be the CBR650R that I'll get.
I absolutely agree with you on the yellow! So many bikes these days are just uninspiring grey, red, black and occasionally withe. (With a hint of 'The military green')
The CB750 Hornet doesn't replace the CB650R in my mind. The CB750 is ugly and looks cheap. The CB650R looks awesome and has that awesome inline 4. I know that people say twins are better for the road because they have more torque but inline 4's are so smooth and civilised. The CB750 is more expensive than the CB650R which in NZ. I’m gonna take a CBR650R for a test ride (there’s no CB650R test bikes near me) and see if I like it.
I live in Thailand where the DAX 125 is manufactured and came out in April 2023. The red and grey colours were always available. I have a Honda Monkey but might add a DAX 125 to my motorbikes.
@@JelloThatsMellow Then why not just put on the proven and liked DCT instead of inventing something new that looks like an add on and why ignore the people asking for cruise if they are giving people what they ask for?
As disappointed as I am with the basic and cheap-looking CB1000, I love that they brought back the 600rr. If the price is right on that one, I'm pretty sure I'll be a customer.
Honda, all you have to do is slap a Hornet 750 engine in the body/styling of the CB650R and we'll all be happy. You have a great engine, give it the finish it deserves and all our money is yours.
I love different engine configurations, different firing orders, suspension and brakes packages especially different chassis.... There really is a horse for every course... right now I'm enjoying a Yamaha TRX-850 inline twin... It makes me wish I'd ridden one when they first came out because it's such a good thing, and it sounds so glorious!! 😆
In a parallel twin, both pistons reach top dead center at the same time. In a parallel twin where the pistons move up and down at the same time, the crankshaft angle is 360 degrees.
For such a legendary motorcycle as the Honda Fireblade standard. It comes as quite a shock to hear that probably it will not be available in the UK next year. Yes you have the SP version but what a price!!
I picked up my CB500F yesterday. it's a commuter but I really bonded with it today on a run to Boxhill. Great little bike, it will sadly get left at home when the weather improves and I use the XSR900LC instead.
@ 6:22, the profile of the CBR600RR looks very similar to that of the 2007 CBR1000RR. Other than some small subtleties, it looks like Honda reached back for some styling cues. The current offering of standard CBR1000RR color palette is quite sparse only offering red. Not in the budget? Red pigmentation is typically the most expensive of the lot. Thanks for putting the review together. This stuff is very difficult to find on the Honda Powersports website.
Nice vid. However, the whole Hornet range is so visuslly dull & uninspiring imo. Although I like the 650's, especially the naked CB but Honda's middleweight line up is so cluttered now. As for the CBR600RR, really like that it's back, but the rear end looks disproporinate & horribly dated imo so not a fan. Will be interested to see how it & the updated Fireblade performs too.
Still waiting on Honda to announce if the 2024 Africa Twin will be sold in the US. Would like the NT1100 as well but doubt that will ever make it to the US.
'24 Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports are shown on the US Honda site. I'm also a bit surprised about the NT1100 availability. Seems like that could be marketed in the US as a mini Wing
I don't like what they did with the CB650R. The stretched light looks weird and so do the new air-intakes on the sides. Very happy I bought mine in 2022, a much better looking bike.
The DAX looks like a riot. I think it's the only minibike the U.S.A market does not get from Honda. All the other stuff leaves me cold. Although that "new" CBR600RR does look very good. But I'm too old, tall, half-blind and brittle to be riding something like that. 😂 P.S: We don't get the NT1100 either, that's more up my alley BUT I'm done with cleaning and lubing drive chains. 😒👎
Honda do make some really good looking bikes, but in my personal opinion, that e-clutch just spoils the look of the engine with the bolted on bit. Would rather just have a normal clutch to use.
Habe einige Motorräder in meinem Leben gehabt. Honda Bikes sind die schönsten zuverlässigsten u.elegantesten Maschinen der Welt. Und die Preise passen auch.Honda ist das Maß aller Dinge.
I don’t think they should make motorcycles easier to ride (no clutch). People will just fill that void with more distractions. In addition it’ll lower the barrier to entry which prior may have been a deterrent for people who weren’t dedicated to properly learn before. We need more skill, not less.
@@carlosandleonI can’t compare my riding to other parts of the world, but where I am (Toronto area), the only people riding scooters are on those shitty e-bikes. We are talking about a mainstream Honda motorcycle with like 80hp+.
I wish they would’ve kept most of the black edition maybe just change the front headlight to make it more modern looking but the new one looks very plastic where the black edition just had beautiful, fit and finish
For your efforts but for the Bikes, as still an owner of a 2004 1KRR - pass on the Hondas. The CBR600RR without all the electronics would be a fun bike, dial in the suspension, put on some decent rubber and have fun. Can't comprehend why you need so much rider aid crap on bikes.
I hope they keep the Neo Sports Cafe racer lineup. The CB1000r could use some love to keep up with the competition. On another note, the Hornet makes me want to puke just by looking at it. Hideous!
Most of these aren’t available in the US, kinda sucks. We don’t have the hornets and also the awesome new design for the 600rr isn’t available here either.
According to an article read in the german dedicated press, Honda has filed in 2023 a patent for the supercharged 1100cc of the AT/NT - where is that engine now? I don't think to be the lone one who thinks the Honda line-up lacks a chunky 4-cylinders of 1300/1400 for the GT-niche - to be between a NT1100 and the Goldie. Or is that dream of yesterday?
