Very Good Tutorial on You Tube. Thanks. . What is the weight of dough ball for one pie please? so that all the pies will be the same size. Please do let me know. Many Thanks
This is the first time I have seen the crust made with egg and I'm intrigued, what is the benefit of incorporating the egg in the dough as opposed to just using water or milk?
Hi Jennifer Udemba, firstly, I apologise for the late reply. The egg simply add more richness to the pastry. I hope you give that a try and I'm sure u'll be able to tell the difference.
Hi there, so sorry about that. It is supposed to be 1 tsp. I think I accidentally wrote tbsp in the description. Well spotted, thank you for letting me know. I have just adjusted the description.
Thank you for watching. To answer your question, no, they are not the same. They are both leavening agents, but baking powder has some extra ingredients.
I have to say you did well for trying your best and I promise you tge more you try the better u will definitely get. I couldnt have done that at 12. Thank you so much for checking out the video and leaving comment.
Wow..this is really interesting and great.. finally I can try this on my own..I actually thought this meatpie is always hard to do..but ma'am where can I get minced beef or meat? Please reply if you can ma'am.. thanks
Hi, sorry for the late reply. For the minced beef, you can get that from any supermarket that sells food stuff, I believe otherwise, do what I do sometimes, I use what ever beef/chicken I have at home and just chop it up with either knife or food processor, it's the same. Also, thank you so very much for your reply and I hope that you give it a try.
Hi, I apologise for the late reply, I haven't tried using yeast as a substitute for baking powder eventhough they are both leavening agents using yeast might change the taste also texture of the pastry.
Madam I found your style of making your meat-pie awesome. The question for you is how do you store you meat -pie to keep fresh for the next day?. Please response if you can. Tony.
Thank you Tony, so glad the video was useful. Thanks for the positive feedback. To answer your question... I would store the meat pie in an air tight container or a zip lock bag, then place in the refrigerator. This meat pie will last for 3-5 days. When you want to reheat the pie, pre heat the oven to 350F/175C, then place pie on a baking sheet or foil. Cover the pie with foil to stop it from burning then cook for 15 minutes. After this remove the foil and cook for a further 5 minutes. Your pie will then be ready to eat. Thanks again!
I store my meat pies in the freezer. I like to make a lot at once cos it's stressful making it every now and then. If you live in a clim that has a constant power supply, try storing it in the freezer. whenever you want to eat it, just bring out what you need, leave it out for a few minutes or defrost for 5minutes in the microwave then warn it for 90secs.
No, the potato and carrots should stay moist and tender inside the pie. When you place the pie in the oven you are only baking the pastry until golden, this will not affect the filling of the pie.
This is just chicken seasoning, but it comes in cube form The one used in this video is (Knorr chicken cube). I hope this helps, and sorry for the late reply. Thank you for watching!
You don't have to use egg wash, but leaving a pastry without egg wash will make it look pale and doughy. It simply improves the appearance of the pie, giving it a golden brown sheen. You can also use milk instead of egg if you wish. Thank you for checking out the video and commenting.
This style is Amazing! Firstly, please, what is the Name of the ''INSTRUMENTAL''? Secondly, Please, be careful how you Advertise your business and try NOT to mention NAMES of COMPANIES so that they will Not see that as DEFAMATION OF BUSINESS and thereby SUE you! Hope you know what i mean? You Stated above that Your Meat Pie is Better than MR BIGGS and SWEET SENSATION!! Please, be careful!!
The instrumental is "Bisiesto by Hiracutch" You can find the links to that instrumental in the description. Thank you for taking the time to watch, and thank you for those words of advice.
Hi, OBIBI ELOHOR, sorry for tge late reply, I get my from the supermarket but you can also use regular beef/chicken, roughly chop in a food processor or knife. I do that sometimes and to be honest I prefer that. Thank you so much for the comment
Sis, honestly, you can still do room temperature. Just that cold ingredients yields better results with the pastry. It's more flaky but if you are doing room temp, it will still be delicious. Tha k you so much for watching and leaving a comment
I hated ginger and garlic 😒 😩 😑 but now I DRINK raw ginger n garlic 😋 🙃 😅 🙂 Can't believe myself ooo. Try adding tiny bit of each in your beef chicken especially chicken out of this world kind🤞🏽🤞🏽 I prefer also to blend/have mix of both for perfect balance. Someone I know who vowed not to has started eating it enjoying it in almost all😂😂😁 She even claimed it gives her migraine then. She ok etc. All the best
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Frying is totally different from baking. Yes, you can definitely fry. When frying you can omit the egg wash. I promise you it will still be delicious.
