I'd never seen this show until now. My first thought was, "I have no idea how this game is played." After about 30 seconds I realized it doesn't matter.
Full episodes all over RU-vid. That's the only reason i know what it is. 🤣 And yeah the original version is about the game 8oo10cdc is about the comedians
If you watch a full episode you’ll pick up the rules pretty quickly. But the game is definitely the secondary entertainment on this show. Mostly it’s all about Fabio.
Joe Wilkinson had to grow on me. At first I just didn't understand the point of his being there. But after he was "fired" he really connected with me. His poem from a couple of years ago is pure genius!
Now it's mainly only the endless iterations of Star Trek shows. Don't know why they even bother having the channel. PS: The new Top Gear is airing tonite, but it's on the MotorTrend channel, not the BBC (?!) Either way, the reboot sucks.
If I told you how many time I've watched this best bits collection, and many others, you'd be surprised that this is my favorite way of watching it; with you three blokes!!
I love Cats does Countdown. Wish more people here in Texas knew about it. Love seeing how everyone interacts so hilariously. Great chemistry between everyone.
Since you asked: I live far outside the UK, only found out about 8 out of 10 cats through RU-vid. Now I also have internet ways of watching their full episodes. But I am not familiar with whether or not they are broadcast outside the UK (even RU-vid sometimes has a geo-lock "This Content Not Available In Your Country") - but there are VPNs and other ways to find the shows. There is a very healthy, active market of non-Brits who love UK panelshows, we link and discuss MOST every UK panelshow (for 8 to 10 years now at least)(Would I Lie To You? WILTY)(Mock the Week) just to name a few. I believe the majority of Americans are unfamiliar with UK panelshows. But those of us who DO know, we are small but VERY active groups!! Always contacting each other with a copy of the latest shows and hours discussing what we thought of last week's shows, guests, and the jokes that hit the best. [Today EVERYONE is talking about the newest "Would I Lie To You" season 14 episode 3 because there was a horrible (but funny) mistake made during the show that EVERYONE thinks is an IMMEDIATE CLASSIC that will probably be talked about for a couple years to come!] 1. The combination of these comedians brings out their best (better than the comedians individually). 2. Most Americans are probably completely unaware of UK TV shows (& panelshows), but those of us that are familiar, we are rabid fans who can't wait to see new episodes (or even compilations of classic moments).
Office Blokes React to : clip compilation of JUST Joe Wilkinson on 8out of 10cats would be great!! (some of the characters / outrageous outfits / and unexpected punchlines) - just think the guy is hysterical!!
As an American, it's between this and Top Gear with Clarkson, Hammond, and May for my favorite - or should I say favourite - British TV shows. Great humor but requires you to use your brain. I don't know if it's on American TV, but I've watched a bunch of episodes on RU-vid as I've found Jimmy Carr hilarious for years since he hosted a game show on Comedy Central around the time I was a teenager. I really don't know much about most of the cast outside of this show, but they all seem to work very well together and have a great time themselves - however ridiculous it may be - which enables the audience to have a great time as well.
I 100% completely agree with Daz: Jon R. (don't find his stand-up funny at all, annoying), Sean L.(I think his stand up is medium-funny, TV shows okay I guess), Miles Jupp (0%interest), etc. BUT together on 8out of 10cats... FANTASTIC, really look forward to each new episode! Jon's OCD personality is the perfect foil for the other comedians to work off of. Sean's (grumpy-old-man) has me in tears sometimes on this show (but only this show), Miles Jupp (bland milquetoast guy) somehow fits with Sean L.'s humour perfectly [[that now famous "Good luck trying to get it in without spit" joke... one of the most memorable jokes of the entire series]]. I like Joe Wilkinson especially on 8out of 10cats (he is my favorite part of the show!), but when I've seen him in anything else, I always feel a little surprisingly let down (having got to know him on 8oo10cats first). The combination of the members really brings out the BEST from each of them. (Jimmy Carr might be the only exception: He is the perfect host for this group, but I DO actually like his stand up shows very much too.) Rhod Gilbert / Mickey Flanagan / Lee Mack are always funny too - and 8out/10cats gives them room to be funny here too. I'll have to disagree with you only on Rachel Riley: not only is she smart, and has a great sense of humour, I must admit that I also look forward to her sexy outfits too. (being American and not knowing anything about UK football probably helps me there)
I don’t get this in Canada but been setting my alarm for three years now to remind me of start time for cats does countdown, wily, QI etc. British comedy is definitely my cup of tea, wish these types of shows would work on this side of the pond but our comedians/comedy is a bit too different and I don’t think this sorta setup would work the same
Found this show at complete random a long time ago. One of the funniest things I’ve ever watched. Not sure if I can watch it anywhere other than RU-vid though (Canada)
I've seen the original video multiple times, but I had to watch you three react! Sending love from Canada and I just have to say..... Cute/smart elk 59
Love British panel shows like Cats Does Countdown, WILTY, and QI (at least the early series). Seems most of the panelists work their way around through the different programs so there's usually familiar faces, many of them quite funny. Get a lot of anti-American snarkiness at times, beyond the joke point, but mostly good times. We get the BritBox streaming service here in the States, which I think is an ITV & BBC joint venture.
Keep up the great work guys! I love your channel. It is true entertainment for me and I am looking forward to your "Try" channel beginning properly. From the US I offer my thanks to you three!
This can't be the best of compilation because they missed Jimmy's joke about Suzie Dent so depraved and funny none of the stars could compose themselves for about 10 minutes I think Jimmy shocked himself it was so funny (I won't spoil the joke here but you'll know it when you near it)
I've watched all the "Big Fat Quiz" shows I can find on RU-vid. That sh*t's hilarious. The year they had Richard Ayoade and Noel Fielding as partners (2017) is my favorite "of the Year".
Comedians don't have to be edgy to be funny. Cleverness is the key, even for the edgy comedians. If they're edgy, but not clever, then they just suck. Jon Richardson and Miles Jupp are very clever with their comedy. And one of my favorites is James Acaster.
I wish we could have shows like your English panel shows. Your television shows and government censors treat you like adults and give you shows that are enjoyably offensive, if that makes sense. I watch this show, Would I Lie To You, and Have I got News For You quite a bit and wish we had anything close to them for entertainment purposes. I never got into The Office, and that may be because they had to change it, water down, for American audiences like they did Whose Line Is It. Thank the gods for the internet, because network television here is too tame, or inane to watch. Good reaction. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with everything you said apart from what you said about Mack. I cannot stand him. He completely bemuses me and i skip forward everytime he opens his mouth. His delivery is horrendous. All "nudge nudge wink wink." His desperation for airtime is transparent and utterly cringeworthy. His stand up is awful, that sitcom was atrocious and he completely spoils would i lie to you. Yes... he is quick... but most of the time... its not wit. Its a desperate reach to find a punchline. His confidence massively outweighs his charisma and its tragic. He is my least favourite human.
@@officeblokedaz Ah I see. Thanks Daz. There are some episodes of Whose Line that have had me rolling. Office Blokes Try...Improv!! (You can edit out the unfunny bits lol)
