Why should they permanently make revenue off of old Let's Plays and compilations, especially if the views stagnate after a week anyway?

@@deadliestvice5356 1: they made the content, not RU-vid. Despite what whiny sh¡tpokers claim, joking about something while playing a game is not copyright theft. Its Chris' content, and he has a right to (at least some of) whatever profit it generates. 2: views do still add up. Just because something has outlived your limited goldfish-like attention span doesn't mean it no longer deserves to exist 3: although minor, that passive income still contributes to the cost of production, which never really decreases once you decide to begin content production full-time. You'll always need more storage for archival content, there's costs of maintenance/replacement of faulty equipment, lease on creation space, etc.
