It takes a lot more time than that and plenty of coordination behind the scenes to get this stuff out consistently, and they all have lives outside of this including day jobs and passion projects. Plus it’s not like they’re raking in millions from this, especially split between them. It really doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect the audience to bear with them and find other stuff to fill the gaps.

@@ShapeshiftedCow lol most of the thumbnails aren't done by Chris and his "justification" for outsourcing editing and managing the channel is to not do it himself. Otherwise "the standards have shifted toward a higher density of quips, bits" is schizophrenia and "We don’t know how often they end up scrapping recordings that don’t feel up to snuff" is mere speculation. At the end of the day, even with cut footage, it's recording a few hours a month. Chris has no obligation to release content and if he's at the point where he's unwinding the channel, that's completely fine, but don't try to prop up this LP channel as being some significant workhorse for Chris especially where it seems to be his only source of regular income.

I think that was my actual first reaction without even thinking of that. Like... Seriously?... Come on now. We've probably seen half of these moments in other compilations already. Stop gaming the system and just finish a game or something idk. This can't be sustainable, not that they need it to be. I just don't get it.

​@@OakNugginsI think it's actually a pretty great strategy. They need to post regularly to keep the channel alive, but they all work on other projects, OneyPlays is not their main focus which I think is great for them and for the viewer since they actually live a life outside of the LPs. The way I see it, if you don't like compilations just don't watch them. They don't get in the way of you watching new episodes when they come out.

That's too good of an idea, RU-vid would never do it. Giant Bomb set up a Twitch channel that plays their old videos 24/7 with polls so the chat can pick the next video and I'd love an Oneyplays version of that.

Well to be fair, Chris and Cory have both played through the dark souls games on their own extensively (at least Chris) so they know what to expect. Having Adam tag along was the greatest decision they’ve ever made
