It's better than this game. It actually has decent characters and a plot I can sink my teeth into. This "elden ring" has nothing for me.

Chris doesn't really like Souls games, he only kind of likes the first half of Dark Souls 1. Honestly, Elden Ring is kind of a crappy game and he'd most definitely not like the endgame.

@@braxtra1664 Elden Ring does not nearly have as tight of combat as the other soul's games. It's just memorization where the other games you could reasonably beat every boss first try if you were familiar with all the game mechanics. The music and writing may be good, but the combat is the main part of the game and if that's lacking no amount of "skill" is going to make it fun.

Julian was playing KH and is deeply familiar with it. This is Chris's first experience with ER, and he typically is less patient when it comes to games anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris stopped the series so he could experience the game himself, which I think is a good idea. Maybe they'll come back to it when he learns it.

Kingdom Hearts was motivated by one specific host being interested in playing through the game. ER is mostly filler so I can understand Chris losing interest.

They only do full lps when the host playing is interested enough. Kh and sonic heroes are proof.

@@Pimploaf_YTP mostly filler? Isn't that what all games are? There are more than a few different ways to experience elden ring whereas there's only one way to experience kh. And you can get way more than 20hrs from er than kh that would be entertaining, plus these boys need to realise they can't coast on their old shit forever they need to restock footage for compilations because that's what this channel has become, a compilation channel where they are constantly reminding you "hey remember when we were good? "

@@rodmullen64 Dark Souls 1 is definitely not mostly filler, even if the second half is unfinished. ER is packed with recycled content, though the stuff that's unique and designed is good. KH they played through because Julian loves the series, plus it's full of weird nonsense to riff off of/make fun of. Also yeah the compilation spam is kind of lame, but I don't think it's really meant to replace a new upload so much as be something the manager throws on to keep the youtube ball spinning. Plus the new conten they've been putting out lately is great, Sonic Heroes might be my favorite series they've ever done.

Bonus step: use the same 5 minutes of funny stuff in 20 different compilation videos

@@meathandsmans I don't get ads at all anymore, but when I did EVERY long-form Oney video had a completely yellow bar at the bottom. I can't say I blame em though, you re-release the same content all together and get a high CPM with ads every 7-15 minutes, especially when so many people use these things as a sleep aid

I think it's just too big of a game for them to do, also if you're aren't skilled enough it can make rushing main bosses tough.
