A Riley and Huey spinoff in their teens would work really well with many areas of story telling they can dabble jn Did not expect the likes on this lol
and just re do every talking point they had in the past because nothing has changed literally need to do a colab with chris "beat the bricks off riana" brown and R "woulda pissed on riana back then too " kelly
I'm currently writing a fan-fiction story for a BOKNDOCKS movie where Huey n Riley as teens, and most of the characters in LA. It's loosely like the ENTOURAGE movie, with a touch of BOONDOCKS. It'll have character artwork as well if I ever get it done.
It's a shame john died. I would have loved to see a robert spin off showing him in his younger years since we only seen it in flashbacks and accounts from others.
@Brandon Jordan because this world is lies and deception and Huey can see through the lies they watching us while we watching them this whole world is a tv show and scripted
Huey has reason but is blinded by his cause. Riley is just a punk trying to prove his self worth without really doing anything of value. Grandad is a playa, playin the game...
@@lonelyfinger think he means internationally. Barely anyone on asia knows about the Boondocks due to it being heavily referencing the american culture
Huey is definitely one of the most coolest animated characters of all time. His view and perception of the world, race relations, and human nature is quite astounding. We could take a couple of notes from the guy.
First of all you have to understand what the boondocks is, its not just a simple animated show,it's a direct reflection of the black community in the early 2000s, where each of the main characters represents a certain aspect of black mannerisms and the stereotypical attitudes that our people has. Huey represents the wise amongst the wicked. The strong minded amongst the weak minded. The 1% of people who wanted change in our society and who wanted to fight against the powers that be. Whether it was small protests or breaking innocent black people out of jail, huey has a heart that many few has. Therefore to say that he's emo, says a lot about u
Also, huey is intelligent,a good listener, wise, empathetic, strong, physically gifted master of kung fu, and he also has an afro. What's not to like about him? He literally is the best character in fiction, especially since he has room for development due to his niaveity in how deep-rooted hatred can easily change. And he did overcome this niaveity past season 4 where he realised that nothing would change and indeed, to this day in our modern society, serious problems and horrid acts of violence and sins against the almighty still occur.
@@user-wg9xh7ez3k thats a great explanation of huey and all, but i think that person replying meant "imo" as in "he is, in my opinion" (imo is short for "in my opinion") and was just agreeing with the comment above
What I know is that he smiles 4 times throughout the entire show. once here, one time when he's with Jasmine when she's selling her lemonade (he's sitting on a soapbox.) One time when Riley is playing basketball against Cindy, and one time in the ruckus religion episode where he tells his brother that he loves him. Idk if there's any more besides that
@@TheNinja94a I've been listening to Wu Tang since I was a little kid and all I had to play tapes was a fisher price handheld battery powered tape player and the only thing I had to listen to was either The Chronic or 36 Chambers. No research is necessary, I was making an obvious comment to bring about some dialogue come on now.
Riley endurance its awesome. he gets beaten a lot of times, falls, etc, but he still stand up and keep getting hit. imagine him as teen fighting would be awesome.
Never letting anyone forget that Huey was willing to emotionally manipulate his brother and make him question his sexuality all in the name of having his own room
It’s so ironic as a kids I wanted to be like Huey so much and then years later when I’d nearby forgoten about boondocks I ended up becoming just like him in a lot of ways. Huey and Tom where the two characters in this show I can relate to the most
As he should’ve cuz lil brothers are annoying asf thinking it’s cool to pop off thinking they know everything but they forget big brother ain’t mom and dad we’ll whoop ass without remorse at least I did 😂😂💯
@@serena7up175 I think nowadays I mean more towards Huey as a character honestly. Probably because I seem to always like the characters like Huey the most.
The R. Kelly scene took me out! 😭 It felt like a mom cussing out her kid during that court scene. 😩😂 Huey and this show was really ahead of their time. Fast forward years later and R. Kelly didn't get the help he needs and will most likely spend the rest of his life in jail. 😩🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Huey would be a good agent of Order. More or less use the power to make things right for people. Along being the actual facts of reality, also. His brother would be a agent of chaos.
It might interest you to know that The Boondocks may not have preceded the existence of Afro Samurai (1999), but it came out before the anime of it got made when it was just an obscure amateur manga that almost nobody in America had ever heard of until 2007. Funny that.
Maybe it can start as the Aftermath of Grandad dying from police brutality. They end up taking out Uncle Ruckus and The Wunclers. Maybe break the hateocracy out of jail to help them. Maybe we find out Stinkmeaner had a son.
@@seanblaze4788 I doubt they'll even think about bringing back this show in today's "woke" culture. By season 4 the Boondocks lost most of its earlier charm. I can't imagine how they'll ruin it nowadays...
Hmmm. I don’t think so. Without all that fluffy hair he probably would have died several times without his hair to cushion the blow. Bigger brains don’t always mean smarts.
"Woke" was a term created by black people around the mid 90s. The definition meant to be awake and aware of the systemic and (at the time) blatant inequalities that were in society. Around 2017 is when Republicans created stigma around the word and redefined it. Then well intentioned people accepted the new definition without knowing what it meant originally. Shame honestly. Was a good word. Short and simple message.
Every black friend of mine was some form of Riley or Huey. Ever full on born and raise on the streets ready to make a name for himself, or a self proclaimed warrior who is fighting to change his people for the better.
