Universal Notes brings together Western classical music with both Indian classical traditions - Hindustani and Carnatic. Led by cellist Matthew Barley. the project was the culmination of a year-long collaboration between Darbar and the Philharmonia Orchestra, and features composed string passages intertwined with powerful Indian rhythms.
