The hardest I've EVER seen Joe Rogan laugh? Is hands-down when Joey Diaz is in the studio. OR when Joe Rogan's in Coco's (Joey's) studio/channel/chat and as a guest. I mean Joe just LOSES it when Joey D. goes off on a rant. What's so funny? Joey isn't TRYING to be funny, Joey Diaz is merely RETELLING a story in the most specific way possible, Joey is SPECIFIC in the retelling of stories. MAGNIFICENT in his recall of an event down to the tiniest detail that JOEY'S observed (and remembered). He, Joey, has total recall, is absolutely amazing when on riffs. This is an astonishingly creature and human being, not just a great and unique stand-up but a survivor, Capital S - in every sense of the word. What REALLY turned the corner for me on Joey Diaz as a stand-up comedian and person? He's at the COMEDY STORE, he's going through some serious s-h-i-t in Joey's personal life, he's basically FREAKING OUT about something but knows he SHOULD be on stage. So he's somewhere in the Comedy Store somewhat-hidden. Hyperventilating, afraid Mitzy (Shore) is gonna need him to go up, kill some time, feed her audience some really good material. But he's EMOTIONALLY not available, and if you've you've ever BEEN there, i.e. freaking-out, under-the-weather, in a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE place? And a club owner has you on the hook/panel, NEEDS you? What the f are you supposed to besides hide/hyper-ventilate etc. Mindy dispatches someone to FIND Joey - and that person does. TELLS Joey, quote, "Mindy needs you to go next and do about forty-five minutes..." You and I'd run out the door, sprint down Sunset Boulevard screaming at the top of our lungs, "Noooooo-o, I can't, I just can NOT..." Not Joey Diaz. He somehow pulls himself together, takes a deep breath, waits for the previous comic to FINISH. Then goes up and just SLAYS. They haven't found a true GENRE for Joey - Joey's chat/channel (which I've turned each/every friend on to) is the closest. But for me this is one of our true superstars in the World of Comedy - maybe the most fearless comic there's ever BEEN - more fearless than even Kinnison. The issue's been well he isn't Jay (Leno) or Jerry (Seinfeld). No, no one is - but by staying organic and true-to-self, Joey Diaz has done and is DOING things we've never before seen. Look, I'm a big Joe Rogan-fan. Was turned onto the UFC, Conor, The Diaz Brothers by Joe Rogan. THINK Joe's one of the most brilliant people I've ever heard - listened-to. COUNT on Joe's training advice/techniques. Info/data on nutrition, the incredible (eclectic) guests Joe has on and from every WALK of life. AND while handling so MANY different pursuits (stand-up career, his own channel, UFC expert/on air personality). I have NO IDEA where Joe Rogan gets/finds his strength and to HANDLE the kind of pressure Joe Rogan handles on a daily. PLUS he's a master fighter himself, it's almost unheard-of, like a new KIND of human being that says, "We can handle anything/everything." A motivational SPEAKER, Joe Rogan has a great MOTIVATIONAL tape/piece on You Tube that's excellent!! So when Joe Rogan is on the floor, i.e. admiring Joey "Coco" Diaz's ABILITY to tell a story - that tells you that Joey Diaz is at the top of the comedy food chain. Thanks to both Joe Rogan and Joey Diaz for helping ME get stronger - keep it together - get into training - my nutrition, labs and blood work are the best they've ever been. Great speech man and btw I totally agree with you, in a huge fan of the ufc/mma and of course I knew Joe rogan because of it, that's how I stumbled upon joey diaz, The man is incredible and his stories I absolutely love, I laugh more at his humour than anyone else's, it's incredible.
I know a dude that "tried" to hang himself from a ceiling fan and it broke and came crashing down on him and we fuck with him to this day about and even he laughs.
