Word she play any role my first time seeing her was in law and order playing a immigrant maid from Honduras. I thought that’s who she was for real than this one here she turned up for real. She go from soft role to hard role and do it well.
It’s crazy how Juke becomes the most ruthless in the Thomas family. Even Ghost and Tommy knew she wasn’t that one to fuck with. She instills fear, similar to what Ronnie does.
I think Marvin ends up getting killed and she ends up joining the military she already going threw it after a gf died then her mom imagine loosing your father’s also when your relationship is getting better it could break anybody
I been rewatching Raising Kanan and You can tell from the start Kanan and Juke don't trust their own family business and neither want to live that life but they have no choice. Jukebox's mom having her abused into some religious occult was messed up too. Marvin not really a good dad either. I can see her and kanan turning rogue and killing everyone and taking control of the streets
The look on Ghost’s face when Kanan told him who had Tariq speaks volumes on who Jukebox has become. Can’t wait to see how she transitions into the cold hearted Jukebox we see here.

Yo even though Marvin is pretty strong and violent he ain't as ruthless as Juke became when she got older. There is something about her leadership skills and knowledge that makes her extremely scary in OG Power while in Raising Kanan you can tell she`s still a little girl but with guts and will to learn.
After watching Raising Kanan, I understand now... Juke always been spilling the beans 😂😂😂. Her death scene would have slapped even harder if she cut Kanan off and said "Now tell 'em that youve always been a scared lil' boy trynna prove to his momma that he a man."
Adult Jukebox definitely reminds me of Raquel Thomas her auntie Jukebox from the original power was scary deadly ruthless she ain’t as nice as she was on raising kanan.
Watching Raising Kanan made me realize just how powerful of a moment it was when Kanan shot Jukebox to save Tariq, she was savage like real deal cold blooded you seen Ghost and his facial expression when Kanan told him Jukebox was in town lol

It's amazing how pure young Jukebox is. Despite that, even in young Kanan's pursuit of the streets and young Juke's pursuit of a legitimate living, you still see the ferocity from Juke's bloodline in her just as much as it is in Kanan. The question I can't wait to see answered in "Raising Kanan" is what switch was flipped that redirected Juke back to the streets...

Everybody keep saying Juke will turn because of the death of Marvin. I disagree, if you've been paying attention Juke seriously contemplated enlisting in the Army. She doesnt want to live the street life or be in that environment anymore. She's only giving the singing group a shot because of she feels she owes that much to her girlfriend who passed, and Marvin and Lou believing so much in her talent. I believe what ultimately will be the life crisis that changes Jukbox is what she goes through while enlisted. Shes always been street smart, so that part of her was going to stay intact regardless.

Breaking Theory: Research Clips: Jukebox was in the Army. In Jukebox’s OG conversation with Kanan, she said when Shawn chose the other side…he became the enemy. This tone and language mostly likely came from her time in the Army.

Dawg if Ronnie ends up killing both Unique and Marvin, the two fan favorite characters of book 3 and arguably in the entire series all in the same season, he might end up being hated more than og Tariq.
It’s sad to me rewatching her scenes from book 1 after the 2 and half seasons of raising kanan, even in the current season she is still pretty innocent and in a good place, it’s also sad knowing in advance that Marvin is 100% going to die sometime and that juke will go from the mostly innocent tomboy to a ruthless ass bitch

Anikia Noni Rose as the older Jukebox was phenomenal. Jukebox was a perilous character and she was cold hearted she didn’t show any remorse she was even about to take out Tariq. I think Jukebox was worse than Monet,Claudia,and Raq.
The same house Where Jukebox have Tariq hostage and where kanan killed her. That's Raq house in queens on Raising Kanan. Same house same design. Difference is the neighborhood in Power grass not cut trees not trimmed etc.
also at 1:54 notice when Kanan says Juke owes him cuz he was there for her when her daddy….there was a pause for a moment there then he says kicked her out. This definitely indicates Marvin gonna get killed sadly cuz it will unfortunately have to build Juke’s villain arc🥺

I don't understand why you guys keep saying what happened? She lost her girlfriend, her sexuality was exploited, she lost her mom, and her singing career. On top of that she's raised by criminals. A life she never chose to be apart of. All of that can't make you cold?
Juke could have easily survived power and probably would have made it through ll and probably would have got to force since she was a cop and she could have easily been involved in Tommy's story. But it was literally her own personal gain plus she wanted to kill Tariq that got her killed in the first place. From raising kanan you can easily see that she can easily be a lead or even her own story since she is technically a power OG character. If only she didn't want to kill Tariq and just get the money then kill ghost. I was honestly fine with ghost dying and riq taking his spot. And then that could have been his story of revenge to get jukebox back while still under kanan's wing. Kanan literally said in his own words" I killed my own son and I would do it again because he was soft but not like you" . From that scene alone you can clearly see that jukebox did not care and just laughed it off. That definitely sparked something in Kanan to shoot her. "Nobody's taking me from you Kanan" -young Jukebox
