Lol there is absolutely zero grounds for a civil lawsuit in #7. Filing a false police report is a criminal offense, sure. But no civil/property damage occurred. Zero grounds to sue, you wouldn't even get a court date for that. You'd be laughed outta the courthouse before you ever even saw a judge.

People like #7 are just awful. They get out and try to blame you for some preexisting damage their vehicle had. It is just one of many reasons you need a camera. This way when they file their false report they get exposed and charged for that, insurance fraud, and other things.

When I saw it coming I just ducked behind the screen and hoped for the best. the sheet cut through my left glove, tore up my side fairings and sprained my toe. I was fine otherwise. Let #33 be a lesson to never pursue an obviously erratic person, even if it’s for their license plate number. Especially if you have a dashcam which is all you need for insurance to pay out. This is America, you never know if someone has a gun. Can’t believe the driver thought it was a good idea to follow the black SUV with a child in the car. I feel bad for them, but ultimately this is what happens sometimes.

I’ve lived in NY all my life and now in NJ. We’re not all shit drivers . I don’t text and drive. And on the rare times I’m on my phone, it’s on speaker . I drive very very carefully. Not too slow or too fast and I don’t cut ppl off, it’s rude . I’ve had family members die due to car accidents, I know very well that I need to take driving very seriously.

New Yorkers LOVE making other people wrong, LOVE being the police. From driving in the left lane and refusing to yield to faster traffic ("I'm already going faster than the speed limit, so you shouldn't drive faster than me!") to bizarre road rage like getting out of your car and trying to settle things with a fist fight, New York drivers are only surpassed in their near total incompetence by New Jersey drivers. I miss Connecticut, but I don't miss having to deal with NY/NJ drivers.

I live in Canada and when I bought my car, I needed to have proof of insurance before I could take it home off the lot. I'm genuinely surprised more states don't do that. At least that would maybe stop drivers from running off since they weren't insured

Proof of insurance lasts only as long as the premium is paid. Sometimes coverage is only 30 to 60 days, then it lapses. Scofflaws that do this should be held wholly liable for the full damages AND insurance premium payments.

A number of years ago I arranged to purchase a used Mercedes. When picking up the cashier's check from my bank, they were absolutely flabbergasted that I asked to use their fax machine to send some documents to my insurance carrier, as I wasn't willing to drive that car uninsured. Now, when I buy a car, I just make sure to add it to my insurance via the app on my phone before I drive off.

Almost every state in the US by law requires you to have proof of insurance before driving off the lot. Now, I said by LAW. That doesn't mean some backwoods dealership or every dealership will follow that. They're in it for the money in that case. But every dealership I've been to has required me to have insurance before leaving with the car.

In New York State, it is required by law to have insurance on your vehicle at all times. Yet we see many out there on the roads, driving without insurance and many others without a valid driver license. Two dinguses rammed the back of my wife's car at two separate times and both had no insurance. The last time was back in 2010 and her car was totaled. My wife recovered.

There should be some way for authorities to identify which cars are uninsured and impound them until proof of insurance pre-paid for at least one year is provided. In CA they simply won’t renew the annual registration if not insured but people who don’t care about insurance certainly don’t care about non current registration. 😡

There IS a way in NY to identify if a car has insurance! I have never driven my car without insurance but one day I was driving my other half’s car. I was stopped by a police woman who said the car was showing up with expired insurance. Sure enough, he paid the insurance the day after it was due but there’s a 24 or 48 hour lapse time before the renewal kicked in (or something like that - this was at least 15 years ago). My point is, she knew it had lapsed by the license plate reader. Just had to go and bring the proof of insurance and all was good. That scanner is easy for them to identify who has no insurance without even stopping the vehicle. 🚔👮🏻

Ahhh, our time has come! I wonder if I'll recognize any places where I've lived up here. After fighting some of our finest drivers on the roads today, I'm ready for this. 😂 When I lived in Syracuse, the way they thought that using the turn signal and turning the wheel were one step constantly infuriated me.

The bridge at 21:40 is notorious. In a Hamlet called Bushnell's Basin outside of Rochester. The one lane bridge crosses the Erie Canal. There's a bunch of these one lane bridges and they're all a pain in the butt.

Some have been fitted with traffic lights at each end to keep the "I was here first" issues to a minimum. And why do all the bridges seem to be on a sharp angle to the road? Which is why the bus driver (GASP!) crossed the double yellow.

@@DeweyCheatumNHoweLLCIt is because the shortest distance is a straight line. We called them 'county court bridges' in WV; always built at right angles to a stream. Very old bridges are usually built this way.

What gets me the most is that the kid now has PTSD because of that crazy man. This world is so messed up and it sickens me. They deserve so much more than this. I hope that I somehow misunderstood that denial and they get the treatment they deserve; physically, mentally, and financially. I hope they're all getting better and have a full recovery! As someone from PA that’s not close to the NY border, the thing I have noticed about NY drivers is they love the left lane while going the exact speed limit and have trouble maintaining lanes through a curve. I really only see maybe 2-3 New York plates a day but when I see the left lane all clogged up, when I get to the front of the clog it’s like 7 out of 10 new york plates.

I've lived in PA for only 5 years. Originally from NYC for 45 years. You know how bad PA drivers are they come flying on the left lane and at the last minute cut you off to take their exit. 😂😂😂

It's my opinion that NY has better driving etiquette than PA.

Fyi, to all of you complaining about pa,ny,nj drivers going right into the left lane& sitting there. It's not just in your states, it's nationwide. I drive all over the country, I see 95 percent of cars, pickup trucks, just sit in the left lane, hardly anyone in the right lane. & 99 percent don't know e to drive don't know how you merge, or yield into traffic. Most of these car & pickup truck drivers, just love to tailgate, draft like a NASCAR race.
