She’s the only singer that I know that can not only produce that much power but the same amount of soul, rock, gospel and all of that. She’s the only singer that can SANG with that much power and passion.
You obviously don’t know music that well. Patti is a one pony show. Not that versatile at all and always sings in the same key. She’s a terrible duet partner

She is the Dramatic Soprano.Only few can hang with Ms Pat at her peak.She can project her voice well.If you love Ms Pat as I do listen to Shirley Brown and Vanessa Bell Armstrong two more great Dramatic Sopranos
They definitely don't make Sangers like her anymore, whose voice can control a room and make their presence know. Few process that power of a Patti, these days but to name a few of course Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams come to mine instantly. But we must not forget about the Kings Luther Vandross and Gerald Levert.

@karamalebro Patti is in a league of her own coming out of nowhere with all them octaves. But Gerald was such a great entertainer. Her early duets with him you can see Patti actually surprised and amused at how good he really was. And Luther... that voice was like silk. 💙💙

Yeah, both Mariah and Patti have said that Patti is literally her Godmother. Not just considers. Mariah asked her to be and Patti gladly accepted. They've both spoken about it in many interviews.

Once again Patti is force not to be reckoned with…she can SANG circles around any singer in the music industry and scalp them bald while doing it. She’s the Mother of Voice. I’m pretty convinced that her vocal cords and lungs are coated in titanium. She sings and perform her own way and can’t nobody duplicate that. There’s basic singers, alright singers, Sanger’s, icons/legends and then there’s Patti LaBelle. She’s truly in a class of her own.

She has a loud mid range. She just modifies it A LOT to the point that she rarely showcases her full power on them. But when she ises them, it is LOUD. Though, it the weakest part of her voice. (Yes, weaker than her lows and agility, which are surprisingly good)
@@mikemiks0 Patti has probably the largest volume output I’ve ever seen. The column of sound she produces and her placement in the mask makes her voice EXTREMELY piercing and these qualities show even in her head voice. Not even the great Whitney Houston had such a volume output and hers was freakishly large also.

They had just one mic, Gaga is not shady and also she would never hit the 5th octave when there's Patti which is not just a legend but a super powerful singer with a better tecnique and it was 2011 but I found lovely that she used a raspy voice to sounds a little soul. Patti is so kind by the way she always admire other singers

Thank you for your descriptive insight on Ms. Patti and Lady Gaga sharing 'only' one mic. I am not familiar with the 5th octave or even identifying specific pitch/notes that are hit while singing (G4,F5,C-flat, etc...) But I do understand what you mean about the raspy voice of Laga Gaga and the soulful singing of Ms. Patti collaborated in this video... Definitely a nice touch as a duet.... presented in a lovely way.

But she knew he could take the high part and kill it, and that he did-- but don't get it twisted, it was under her stage direction. They split off, because Patti was moving from center stage gesturing for him to take it, he didn't until he heard her masterfully sliding down the scale at full power. Bolton slayed and always loved her for pushing him to that moment. Patti let em shine. 💜💜

I know what you’re talking about. It was when she performed on “Celebrity Duets”. It aired on FOX in 2006. She and him performed Lady Marmalade and Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Also, she and Wayne Brady performed On My Own.
I think you misunderstand a true dramatic soprano. Their job is to cut an orchestra, they have big, steely toned voices. It annoys me to no end to hear someone say she's "screaming". Screaming glissandos with perfect pitch and a voice that was well preserved into her 60s. Even today, well into her 70s, her head voice is still insane. "Screamers" days are over sometimes as early as their 30's.
Well for one..I wish I could scream like that...and two you aren't completely wrong. She has developed "screamers nodules" which a lot of singers get. Chaka had them, I believe Aretha had them at one point (I could be wrong), Chaka suspected Whitney had them too which is why her voice started to decline. Patti's "screaming" ability has definitely diminished as of late which I think is due to the nodules...but even without her former ability her falsetto register still makes her one of the loudest creatures on Earth.
